I wager there will be a Kyogre Pokemon as well... I'd bet it'd do one of two things:

1) flop around like Goldeen, only it would actually damage people and have a wide range
2) fire a huge Hydro Pump blast in a left/right direction

I hope they have all four of the main earthbound characters. That would be a brilliant addition.

I'd prefer characters people have heard of... Well, that I've heard of. Or else they could try releasing games in Europe.

There's not going to be too many Japan-only characters, according to Sakurai (with the exception of Marth, probably). This means that MOTHER3 is unlikely.

I don't like the idea of any other Earthbound characters either, personally, unless it's Pokey. As Showsni pointed out, the game was not released over here in Europe, and Ness also borrows his abilities from Paula and Poo already.

Ness had better stick to his own expletive abilities. He's got plenty. And PSI Thunder is anything but guided. It should drop three randomly placed Pikachu Lightning Bolts, except somewhat weaker for balance. Also, the PK nonsense.... Seriously, Hal Labs, why? You, of all developers, know that's not right.

Chrono Trigger characters would be a tad too awesome. I don't think we'll be getting that treatment.

PSI was PK in Mother 2. I do wish Ness would have stuck to his own stuff, though. Kiai/Rockin/Special/Whatever could be what Flash is in SSBM, Flash could be a status thing (stun/sleep, like Jigg's Sing with wider range or whatever) like it actually is, ect. Paula could take over with her own moves. Won't happen, but a man can dream.

And Drek, HAL can do whatever they like with Ness' abilities. Obviously he uses his PK powers in unique ways. PK Thunder is awesome, how dare you suggest it's changed just to make it more 'accurate'? Bah.

Well, today's update was useless; it just shows us how to recover from getting blown off the stage.

There wasn't much they could do in terms of improving graphics, other than putting it in hi-def and adding new animations.

All right, I suppose PK is fine if it was used in a game and not just pulled out of thin air. Sure PK Thunder's awesome, but it's not really Thunder. I'd like to see it renamed somehow. Also, Ness with a slow-charging healing move would be nice, like a Warlock punch that heals around 15% with diminishing returns for successive uses, and an area of effect blast for the Rockin' attack, behaving similar to Roy's neutral B. Ness is more of a melee combatant than a blaster anyway. Let Paula take his current moveset, I'd say, she's just about awesome enough to handle it. All this reminds me of Ganondorf's dilemma.... He and Ness would be more accurate if their abilities were just switched, pending some animation fixes. Anyway, as long as it's fun, I'll end up not caring what they do with the characters. I never complain about any of this when I'm actually playing Melee.

Finally an interesting update for those who aren't new to name Super Smash Brothers. I'm glad to know I can play with the wiimote turned on its side and that the Nunchuck and/or Classic Controller aren't requirements. I was really worried that if I wanted to be able to play Brawl with three other people, i'd have to invest in 4 Classic controllers or more nunchucks.

Well, I'm not so sure about Ganondorf since he was a mirror character, but C. Falcon will probably get in.

We're talking about characters we've already seen in trailers.

But I believe the original SSB cast has been confirmed, irregardless.

No they're not.

We have no idea whether either will get in.

The only two others we can say are all but confirmed is Yoshi and Marth, because we have seen a Yoshi stage and a Fire Emblem stage.

As for everyone else, *we don't know*. It's been suggested that all the original characters (from the original Smash) will appear, but it's not confirmed. Then again, I would be shocked if Donkey Kong, Luigi, Ness or Captain Falcon aren't in.

As for Samus - she is both a recurring and a new character, so that doesn't really count. She's going to have a Zelda/Shiek thing going on.
