I wonder if the Mario-wins-Sonic-loses thing was planned. It's almost too perfect.

I have looked at all the trailers on Wii.com and have seen no new characters there, not even sure if I saw Sheik for that matter. So I'm not sure where this so-called 'leak' comes from.
Today's update was good if only just to see how gloriously beautiful the Lylat Cruise stage is. I know I'm going to LOVE that stage. Also, the Japanese video makes me a little glad that some characters will have English voices... Ike sounds weird in Japan. @.@
Although, judging from the videos, Pit sounds utterly cute as heck in Japan. Don't believe me? Here you go.

Anyway, the Japanese Dojo site has a different video than what all the other versions of the Dojo got. (Snake vs Mario vs Kirby vs Ike) I wonder why that is?

Plus maybe they thought us Westerners would get more of a kick out of the Lylat Cruise stage. Not wrong there, to be fair. XP

Nintendo changed the video shortly after they realized what they'd let slip. You can still see the leaky version on YouTube. That's the only leak that's pretty much undeniably legit. The others could (and I'm going to emphasize "could") have been faked.

This 'masterpieces' mode will, of course, become a great moneymaker for Nintendo. So sneaky and clever, yet almost in an evil way. What else could they possibly squeeze into this game?! The disk has got to run out of space eventually, right...?

I see nothing amazing about "Masterpieces" that they couldn't have already done, and done over a year ago to boot.

I'm guessing too many demos could in theory eat up a lot of bandwidth, or something.

(after a quick look in wiki, the Fire Emblem game, it's Monshō no Nazo, the remake of the first Fire Emblem)

Highly doubtful. Ever seen a ROM? Even SMB3 is only 512KB, by no means huge (only 3 seconds of downloading on a decent connection). Even Super Metroid isn't that big.I think the demos are built into the game disc though, not downloaded from VC.
I'm guessing too many demos could in theory eat up a lot of bandwidth, or something.
And yes, the demos are built into SSBB. But the question remains; why don't they just offer
- A orderable disk with many demos on it
- VC demo downloads
...?
Either of these would accomplish the same damn thing better. Hell, why not do both?

I haven't been so sure I was going to buy a game as soon as possible since Mario Galaxy came out.

Where'd you hear of/see this one? I've seen all the others from the intro and whatnot since screenshots are floating about. (SSE is so very epic, I can't wait!)
Don't click this is you don't want to see my thoughts on SSE.

EDIT: Also for those who do not wish to be spoiled in Europe, you practically need to live under a rock. The date has been set for the 1st of June this year. That's five months from now.

The date has been set for the 1st of June this year. That's five months from now.
That looks more like a preliminary date (i.e. a general idea of when the game will be release) rather than an actual release date. You can tell because in Europe (well, at least the UK), games get released on Friday, and so unless June 1st is a Friday (which it isn't), it won't be released on that date.

I don't know how I'll manage, but I want something in this game to be a surprise just so I can yell 'HOLY CRAP' at the screen at some point. I propose that we maintain total spoiler lockdown until the game has been release in ALL territories. Anyone else agree?

So THIS is why Sakurai has been giving us crappy, time-stalling updates. He was just waiting for the Japanese folks to get the game released.January 31st, 2008. Super Smash Bros. Brawl has officially gone on sale in Japan. Is everybody having fun with it?
However, Smash won?t come out in North America for a bit and sadly, Europe has an even longer wait until the game releases.
For the past eight months or so, Smash Dojo has served as a source of basic information for the game, but with the release of Brawl, the Dojo will take on a new role.
From here on out, the Dojo will begin to introduce the hidden characters, hidden stages, and additional features in Brawl that have gone unmentioned until now. I?d like to continue to add on to the Dojo so that players of Brawl can come back to this website following it?s completion and view Smash Dojo as a sort of guide for the game.
I plan on continuing updates for another two months, so please continue to enjoy the site.
Just remember, I?ll be posting information on hidden characters and other in-game secrets, so you should take caution when viewing the site if you want to save those surprises for later.
...So in retrospect, we have them to blame for us being forced to dig up leaks.
But back on topic,
