I'm actually pretty happy about the awesomeness of Toon Link. I mean, it's friggin' Toon Link. His jumping glitch is pretty funny, too.
It looks like Bowser got knocked out of god-tier after people have been playing him more, though.

Hm... IMDB isn't listing any voice actress for Samus. I wonder if that's still Jennifer Hale. It's a bit hard to tell. She apparently does all the... er... grunts from Prime. Which I always found odd, given how good she is (Female Shepard - Mass Effect, Naomi - MGS, Jennifer Mui - Mercenaries, Bastila - Knights of the Old Republic). But that also made it easier to picture what Samus' voice would be like. It does vaguely sound like her.

The fact still remains that the game has been out for a long while now, so it's getting near the point that we should be able to get away with putting *ZOMG SPOILER* in the title of the thread and not worry.
After all, the same thing was done with Twilight Princess and noone threw a fit, ne?
The arguement against it is that the game doesn't come out in the US for a few more weeks and it's pretty much never going to be seeing the light of day in the UK at this rate, so since the majority of LAers are either from the US or the UK... you know.
So I guess giving the spoiler tags two more weeks isn't so bad. Keeping them on until at least next fall would be silly, though.
Despite the fact that you would have to be living under a rock, in the middle of nowhere, or >100 miles from a computer to not know all the secrets by now, anyway.

We still get to make obscure quotes from the site, though.

Yeah, there is goign to be tournaments going on at a bunch of Gamestop stores. Just check the Gamestop website, they have the information there. I for one plan to be in it.

yeah, we're doing the whole Midnight Opening thing, as is Gamestop. difference is, we're having a Melee Tourney with Pizza and Soda. Just a casual one. They're doing this big ginormous Nationwide Brawl tournament, which IMO has one big flaw. Not enough people have played Brawl yet. I have and there are some subtle changes (and some not-so-subtle ones) to each character and how they perform. In addition a lot of the tricks that Melee players rely on are either eliminated or altered in Brawl. I know it's for the release of the game and all, but in all honesty, I'm kinda happy we're going to be doing one final send-off to the game that kept us all occupied for 7 years straight.



Oh, I did have another concern too. Controllers. Did they opt for GCN controllers? would it just be the Wiimote? could they BYOC? Did it differ by the store?

GS: Well,....working at hte store, you don't get much of a chance to. That's why I'm trying to get a Wii myself.
Me: .......You work at a game store and you're having trouble getting a Wii?
GS: Well, the company won't let us buy them ourselves yet. We've gotta sell to the customers first (this is BS. I think she just doesn't know anything about games, nor cares).

Lord, what a ditz. This chick answers the phone like I called her cell, and doesn't even know the name of the standard Wii controller is called "the remote".
