And no, Zelos is very much wanted by all the women in Tehthe'alla. Except by those he's actually interested, everyone else he just gets to do his work for him. Great character though.

My Nook suggestion wasn't meant to be 100% serious, even though I was serious about how I think he would fight. But so what if he isn't the star of a game? Neither is Pichu. I wasn't suggesting Nook would be better than Pit either, just that I think he would be a clever addition to the Smash roster.
Honestly, I think you're so obsessed over Pit that you think every comment that doesn't boast his looks is bashing his presence.

dj, fyxe, that's in pretty poor taste. I'm already getting a bad impression of zero samus as fan service.
The "Hoo-ah" comment about Samus was just a passing joke. I don't intend to dwell on Zero Suit Samus for anything other then pondering how she'll play.

yeah. I think zero samus will be a pretty cool character to play, but I don't remember nintendo using the spandexed woman tactic before.

on the same note, it is nintendo, so i'd be surprised if it was really intentional at all. I guess they wanted to have samus fight without the helmet and visor, and this was the only way they could do it. I don't think she looked like that on the GBA. :x

My question about Snake is this: You know how in Smash Bros. Melee, you throw a box or a barrell and Mr. Saturn or a Pokemon or some other random Nintendo character or enemy will pop out.
So from now on, if you throw a box, will Snake pop out? o_O Now THAT would be interesting.
To the person who mentioned the idea of characters like Master Chief showing up in Smash Bros: Personally, I'd pay to see Samus and Master Chief have a little duel. But that's just me. I'll have to stick to a certain VGCats comic instead I suppose....
Anywho, my hope is that Young Link stays in the game, as he's quickly become my fave character. Gotta love those in-the-air attacks. But if I had one wish for the game as a whole, I'd wish for the D-pad and Left Thumbstick to be used interchangeably.

You haven't played much Metroid, have you?

Uh, don't blame us, I was just pointing out that the pictures on Nintendo's website are suggestive. And they are.
And there's nothing wrong with catgirl Samus. I've been all for Samus ever since Super Metroid, for cryin' out loud. Nothing to do with the Zero Suit.
Also, she has appeared in clothes *like* that ever since Metroid Fusion, although they were actually skimpier back then. The Zero Suit is modest compared to what she wore under the suit in Super Metroid and Metroid Fusion. And in Metroid and Metroid 2, even.

See? Anyway, the Zero Suit as it appears now has appeared in Zero Mission (obviously), Prime 2 and Hunters. It's nothing new.
Flint, you play as Samus in that suit (with that pistol of hers) for a long section of the game in Zero Mission, hence it's being called the 'Zero Suit'. Here's a sprite...

Fyxe I haven't once complained about Pit or said he was a bad choice. I've only been cynical towards the fangirling he's causing. Don't confuse the two. I know he's an excellent addition to the game as far as Nintendo characters go, it's just that my original point was from my point of view Kid Icarus is practically unheard of. Maybe where you are more people have played it or know what it is, but I had never even heard of it until I got the Pit trophie in Melee.
I'm in England, and I doubt more people played Kid Icarus over here. You did imply he was a bad choice because you said you liked Meta Knight and Wario but said the others... Weren't good choices. So... Meaning he was a bad choice.
Wario and Meta Knight are the only two of the new characters I find to be good choices.
See? Maybe you meant more on a *personal* level but that didn't seem clear, looked more like you were just saying that the other three choices were crap. Anyway, I liked Pit *before* he was a hottie because of Kid Icarus' role as a sister series to Metroid, and I didn't mention his hotness at all in the last few posts I've made. And why does it have to be 'fangirling'? Hm? Boys can find him attractive too, you know.
Polycrome, Snake is a fighter, not an object that comes outta boxes. >.> Also, Samus would kick Master Chief's ass and anyone who says otherwise is a numbskull. Samus is simply overpowered when it comes to asskicking. If Smash Brothers was based on a characters' true abilities, Samus would be winning constantly by blasting Plasma Beams and Super Missiles all over the place. The only character who would stand a chance, oddly enough, would be Kirby, I reckon.

Oddly enough, Samus has green hair in the NES days. I suppose that makes about as much sense as Link having pink hair though.

Peach used to have red hair. And looked WEIRD.
D~N, here's that picture.

On another note, the pop-ups on vgmuseum are the worst pop-ups ever designed.

I'm aware that she wore that suit in the game. What I was referring to is the fact that it's a GBA game with a tiny little sprite. She doesn't appear all voluptuous and attractive in Zero Mission, seeing as how she was all of 100 pixels. so when Nintendo made her for Brawl, they pretty much recreated her.
But the game clear image tells a different story.

Sprite or not, she also appeared like that during cutscenes after she loses her suit, and yes, in the game clear image, and also at the end of Metroid Prime 2 and Hunters. The only new thing they've created is the whip function on her gun, which is a hell of a cool addition if you ask me.
You can't blame her or Nintendo for her appearing more attractive in 3D. Just be thankful she isn't wearing her Fusion outfit if you're so against characters being at all sexually attractive.
Please tell me you didn't complain about being able to see Peach's underwear in Melee. ¬.¬

this thread makes me sad. perverts, all of you. :< discussing i what games you can see peach's unmentionables? my goodness.
If you ask me, the only sad people are those who cannot accept (a discussion of) what is a part of the game. And "unmentionables"? It's a simple matter of realism, nothing more.
The perverts are the one searching for things.
Using that definition, I wonder just how many non-perverted gamers there are in the world.

Umm, in Melee Peach doesn't have any leggings, she's wearing bloomers and the rest is bare. Zelda's the one with the pantyhose...Unmentionables? You mean digital white leggings? The perverts are the one searching for things. But when peach's dress flies up on screen in the middle of the game, it no longer becomes a secret.
But yes, in Double Dash she has so much frill under her dress that you can't see anything. I remember the first time I went through the barrel cannon on DK Mountain and I was like "Whaaa- no panties? D:"

Also, the more play of Kid Icarus on the Game Boy the more I believe that the stage we see at the start of the Brawl video is part of the Skyworld above the Overworld of Angel Land (aka Ancient Greece to you and me).
