And it uses a normal controller? That's probably good - I couldn;t see how it was going to work with the Wiimote...

Official Site.
And that music in the trailer? Composed by Nobuo Uematsu. o_o Music in the game will be done with a full orchestra, with a full choir complete with Latin lyrics.
-imagines the possibility of the final game itself being composed by Uematsu-
His own versions of the theme from Mario, Zelda, etc? Holy freakin' crap man.

Truly, Nintendo has gone mad. Still, at least they're having fun doing so. And at least they've brought a smile to our faces thanks to their insanity.

I love how they showed their models morph into the Wii version, gives you a better idea of the difference in graphical power. Not that that's an issue or anything. I also love how Kirby doesn't change at all, and seems to notice that.
Mario looks so melodramatically pissed when he's being cooked, I love it.
Yes, I may have to break my streak and become an early adopter of the Wii. The thing is, I have never, EVER bought a console at launch. Ever.
But this has convinced me to.

This game... This is why Nintendo is the best damn developer in the world. All hail the return of Super Smash Bros!
And those new characters look awesome (Meta Knight FTW!), although I won't be pleased untill I see Vaati

If this is insanity then call me crazy! But honestly, it works as an SSB title.

It is also a throwback to the intro of SSBM when the "classic" trophies of Mario, Link, Kirby and Pikachu turn into their SSBM versions and start to fight.

Well, SSBB isn't a launch title... But you can do that anwyay.

I said Mario games. I don't think by any definition Super Smash Brothers fits the genre of Mario games anywhere, seeing as it never placed any direct emphasis on Mario moreso than any other of the brawlers.
Yes, that is quite correct - I thought about mentioning it in my post. However, my point is your point: What does the average customer think when he sees Mario on that box?
"Woo, Mario game!"

Who doesn't?

Who's Pit?
The angelic main character from Kid Icarus. Also a main character in the Captain N cartoons, where he has the annoying habit of saying -icus after lots of words. "Gee Captain N-icus!" Like how Megaman says mega in front of lots of words. "We're in a megamess this time!"
Yay Pit!

But do they see "Mario" on the box is my question.Yes, that is quite correct - I thought about mentioning it in my post. However, my point is your point: What does the average customer think when he sees Mario on that box?
"Woo, Mario game!"
All of the titles I mentioned explicitly say "Mario" on the front cover - Super Smash Brothers does not.
