theoretically you could use metaknight's ability to fly and fly into people and use it. Assuming you fly fast that is :D

I find it interesting that people who play Smash Bros for fun (a-me) hold the so-called "experts" in such contempt. But they bring it upon themselves with their attempts to turn a delightful game into, to quote the kids' shows, "a screaming metal deathtrap."

Don't Arwings fly in the sky?

I think the two are linked together for this event...

Ah, I love video updates. :D They're always so pretty.
Too bad the video isn't working for me, for some reason.

I had the same problem, it takes awhile to load. Try reloading the page or just waiting for it, it solved the problem for me.

"So a monkey was walking towards a spaceship near a lake and got attacked by a giant Pokémon..."

It just sounds like the setup for some kind of weird punchline, doesn't it?

Also, Fyxe got Post #1000.

Too bad the in-game water doesn't look as good. (And it's not like the Wii can't do pretty watter, just look at Mario Galaxy. I guess it has something to do with the physics engine being more robust that the one in SMG.)

...Lucas' special moves and nobody comments? Weird.

Hm. Well, he's definitely not an outright-clone of Ness. PK Fire and PK Thunder, are the same, though. I wonder what this means for whether Ness will end up in the game.

Rough quote: "He's like Ness, who was in the Smash games until now

Pretty much means Ness is out.

I think Mewtwo is gone too.

Check carefully. The first two Lucas moves shown are essentially carbon copies of Mewtwo's same moves for the same actions.

Of course, Ness and Lucas could be one of the few 'clone' characters. But the fact that Lucas is borrowing Mewtwo moves is interesting.

This doesn't mean Ness is gone. It's once again worded vaguely to keep us guessing. I know everyone keeps pounding on "up until now," but that doesn't prove a warm cup of jack squat. First, it could just be a poor choice of wording. The other translations (I power lurk, so I see these things) don't seem to have the same implication everyone's getting from the English one. Also, if that were truly meant to imply that Ness is gone, it would have read "had appeared" rather than "has appeared." Plus, there's more than enough variance for Lucas to be pretty much the Luigi to Ness's Mario. PK Thunder is the only one that looks identical to how we know it, and that could easily vary in the distance it sends the user, or how fast it goes or whatever. As for Mewtwo's moves... eh. Floor shots and flip kicks aren't really rare.

Nice rundown. Though it kind of worries me that these new characters seem really overpowered, especially Ike and MetaKnight. I wonder how they'll stack up against the old school Smashers.

I figure everyone else will be stronger too. It says the game goes slower paced, so maybe everything is a bit more powerful. Metaknight seems like a character whose grand master plans could be thwarted by a dodge/roll. If Ike really is very slow then that leaves the same vulnerabilities that all slow people have, except that he has a sword. In all likelihood Ike and Metaknight are just the characters that are easier to use. They wouldn't have enough time to find any real weaknesses in a two minute four player brawl.

the fact that Ike seems to have Marth's colours (according to the review) as his alternative costumes seems to mean that Marth won't return.

Don't say such cruel things. ;-;

If Marth is gone, there needs to be someone with a similar moveset. Ike is far too slow to be like Marth. We need someone like Eliwood or my personal choice Serlis (he's so cuuuute...).

The star of this game here. He'd be a great classic character, much like Pit.

Marth isn't going anywhere. He was the main character of the original game, for crying out loud. Mario has had a green color swap in all three games, but Luigi obviously isn't going anywhere, yes?

It's not old news to people who don't like being spoiled about every inch of the game by rediculously in-depth demo coverage.

So, sensible people then. Oh ho ho.

In that case it might be better not to look at the Internet and any other information sources at all, like you said yourself before. That happened to me for OoT and it was quite nice. It was not even on purpose, but more because of the situation back then.

And yeah, I'm trying to find any Zelda related news on the net so it can be posted on the main site (there has only been like 3 posts this last month, not to mention who posted those... <_<). Hence I have to go through the spoilers most of the time. Maybe I posted it as if it sounded negative; that I should have altered.

In the case I do find some spoilerish news I'm not going to post it just blatantly, because others think different (and your quite right at that). Besides by the time I get to playing this game it will be out several months as usual. I believe I picked up Melee >1 year after it hit the shelves.

Checking Sakurai's official website is a tad different to hunting out information on the web about Brawl, ne?

And I can't just ignore The Internet until it's released. I can only hope that a lot of people simply close their blabbering mouths. Too much to ask I suppose, but generally I'm fine at avoiding spoilers. Touch wood. o.o
