Indeed, I think the Master Hand's trophy in Melee explains about the link between the world of Melee and the real world as well. Besides they're probably going to use more boss characters like Petey Piranha, which leaves an entire new set of possibilities.

CID is presumably talking about our references to the opening of the original Smash Bros., where the characters are shown as dolls in a kid's bedroom, and brought to life by Master Hand.

This 'origin story' seems limited to just the first game now, and Melee introduced the trophies but also emphasised Master Hand's role as the creator (and Crazy Hand is apparently the 'destructive' side).

Co-op mode? That's brilliant! I hadn't even imagined a cooperative adventure mode, but it's such a natural add on, and will be great to play with friends.

I hope that Lucas doesn't have the same moves as Ness. Replacing characters with others from the same series, and then giving them different moves helps to keep things interesting. All of the same characters with all of the same moves would eventually get stale.

Of course they have to make her able to do enough, with a notable percent of gamers playing as her.

Great the 'cook' update, that should be the last material to be reused from the previously released vids (well, apart from what appears to be Pika's FS).

I haven't played WarioWare so I don't know who Ashley is, but the song is pretty good.

Granted, I doubt this means Ashley is a character... probably just another song that plans on the WarioWare level. Maybe they'll have a variation of the level where the transitional stage is Ashley's mansion instead of those hotels.

Ashley seems like a possibility now. It might just be her music in the Wario Ware stage, but would they really go through all the trouble of recording all new vocals (at least I assume the vocals weren't there in the GBA game) for background music.

They might not be new vocals, actually. That song was in Smooth Moves and I believe the vocals were in place there. It's possible that they took those vocals and remixed it. However, I have no clue, I've never played Smooth Moves, unfortunately.

I prefer the original version. The song's from WarioWare Touched, and the vocals are in place there; though not this version. I had to get Touched out and try Ashley's level... only got 39. I'm out of practice.

Is it just me, or does the English version Ashley's voice sound really inappropriate for such a tiny character?

They're different vocals than in Touched or Smooth Moves. I think the new English version for Brawl may be closer to Ashley's Japanese voice, because in previous games it was more low-pitched. Although now it's kinda too pop-ish. Her Japanese voice is eerily sweet. o.o

If Ashley makes an appearance, I hope Red does too. He's so cute. X3

BREAKING NEWS! SONIC IS IN BRAWL!

I say "breaking" because Nintendo is having a very low key conference right now. Just a minute ago, Nintendo announced that Sonic will be in Super Smash Bros Brawl.

BUT! The downside...Brawl has been delayed (at least in Japan) to January 24, 2008.

Well, many people will adore his appearance, while other dislike it very much... I'm neutral at this point, although I'd like to know how much of Sonic (e.g. characters/music/stages) is incorporated into brawl.
