Although this could be quite a sensible way to bring back the Daleks, if they say that those 3 "sat out" the Time War between realities. But what of the Time Lords?
And I love the Cybermen gun!

You know that phrase that Jackie Tyler said to Rose?

I disliked that scene with Jackie and Rose, only because it glorifies Jackie's selfishness. She shouldn't want Rose to turn out like herself.

I disliked it because it gives the writers a plausible excuse to not kill off Rose Tyler.

It's the same actress (obviously). The producers were so impressed by her acting ability that they called her back for the Assistant role, I heard.
That still doesn't change the fact that she looks too much like a dead character for it to work without resorting to, twin sisters or alternate Universe plots.

And you do realise that everything in entertainment is a cliché? Everything's been done. =)
Alternatively the Doctor could find a way to save her or something.

Or maybe, completely different characters. Why do they need to fit her in to the other character? There are a lot of people who look alike without being related.
No, you don't understand me. I'm saying people might have some difficulties of being introduced to a character that looks EXACTLY the same as one that's died. In real life, the Doctor would probably say something like, "Hey, you look a lot like..." or "Aren't you supposed to be dead?" There's no way she can become his assistant without lots of awkwardness.

Thats the thing though, its not real life so it's allowed

Anyways, trust the official info for the names... http://www0.bbc.co.u.../05/33449.shtml

Ah right, so the gap between the throwaway, very much deceased Adeola and the new assistant Martha will be so big (1 year) that her playing two completely different characters shouldn't matter much.
Yeah, right...

Just as the latest episode finished I realised something, the Cybermen who were recently upgraded from the humans of this Earth surely should have stayed behind as they didn't get "infected" with the void matter. So surely there must of been several hundred Cybermen running rampant from the Torchwood staff who got upgraded. (Unless they all got patriotic like Hartman)
Well, all those Cybermen were confined to Torchwood. Unless the Daleks or Hartman were sloppy, we can safely assume that they've all been destroyed. (Remember the battle? Remember all those Cybermen being unsurprisedly slaughtered by the Daleks?) And of course, we haven't seen any evidence of people outside of Torchwood being "upgraded".
Was it just me or did the constant shouts of "Delete!" and "Exterminate!" make you guys laugh too?

What did the Doctor say just as he faded away? Our digital signal got corrupted just as he was about to say something. For a moment I thought it was part of the episode.
Funny how your signal got corrupted at that point.

That's just what I was thinking. Assumedly they all got fried by Daleks/Mickey's mates though.
Rose is going to spend the whole rest of her life trying to find a way back...

Probably, though she never will.

Well, let us hope that the death of Rose Tyler that is referred to in the beginning of the episode isn't some artsy, metaphorical death of the concept of Rose Tyler, but not the actual physical person.
That would be very predictable, highly clichéd and something else that escapes definition.
Dum de dum de do.
Close.

I'm holding out hope that there was something else in the Ark with the Daleks. I know he has practically nothing to do with them, but since it's rumoured he's going to show up in series 3, I hope the Master was in that Time Lord prison.
We've also got the Face of Boe to come back and say his piece. I'd forgotten about him, I thought the finale was going to end with him popping up.
