They usually call him Trig, they don't bother with the 'ger'.

I like your idea for the fate of Mickey, it's a nice ending for his character.

I was thinking more about how the TARDIS still had that little bit of power left in it even though it's in the wrong universe. If this is a parallel universe, maybe Gallifrey and the Time Lords are still around in this one.

I doubt it, the Doctor's speech about the Time Lords being able to pop in and out of dimensions at will, but now that they're gone the walls are closed implies to me that they're gone in all realities. Also, Time Lords strike me as being above all these alternate realties, being the Lords of Time after all :P

What I dont get is, isnt the TARDIS supposed to stand for Time and Relative DIMENSION(S) in Space? Then why such the hassle about going into another reality?

Dimensions as in the normal three. Parallel realities are something completely different.

Surely that should be at least 4, time being the 4th dimension...

Or 11 (give or take), if you believe string theory :P

Time's not much of a dimension since it only goes forward. If you count that, you have to count + and - i, j, k as different, thus giving us 7 dimensions.

The Doctor goes forward and back in time.

But seeing as the name is Time AND Relative Dimension(s).... it insinuates that time isn't included in those relative dimensions.

Time is identified as the 4th dimension by the Doctor's grandaughter Susan, way back in episode one (An Unearthly Child').

Oooh, I have just had a thought...

Spoiler : click to show/hide
Since Tracy-Ann Oberman is going to be in the finale, and her character is the director of the Torchwood institute, and she claims she is playing a baddy... In once trailer scene, apparently she was seen holding a Sonic Screwdriver. Now, maybe she has confiscated the Doctors Sonic Screwdriver. Or maybe, what if....

...That phone box in "New Earth" really was a TARDIS, and she is the Rani? Lol :P

Spoiler : click to show/hide
Micky did stay behind in the alternate Earth

That particular plot point was SO predictable. And guess what? God got mentioned again, but only as a passing blasphemy.

I caught the ep with 20 mins left, and then I just somehow clocked when I saw Mickey with Jake that Ricky died, in order for Mockey to leave the show. Predictable it may be but I was still sad that Mickey left.

I enjoyed the other side of the ending though, an explosive end for Lumi- sorry, Cybercontroller and all his Cybermen. Although I am curious Pete reacted like that in the end, forgive my ignorance.

Is it just me or was the Lumic character similar to Davros? In fact, apart from the physical differences, and the fact that the Cybermen upgrade people instead of exterminating them, there isn't that much difference between the Cybermen and the Daleks, is there?

Did anybody else see the significance of the name Lumic? Sounds as if it was based on Lumine or luminous - some light-based name. Almost made me think of him as a Lucifer-like character or Lumine from Megaman X8.

I am tempted to say, at the end of most Doctor Who episodes (or, at the start of the last one as well)...

DEUS EX MACHINA.

I think the Doctor should yell it every time he fixes everything immediately.

Heh, it was quite a deus ex machina. Although, it kind of makes sense that he used the power of the time vortex to destroy them, kind of like Rose did at the end of The Parting of the Ways...

WHat I want to know is, where was the gold dust? Lol

Isn't there going to be another two-parter where they meet Satan, and it's going to be the scariest one ever? That's what I heard.

Anyway, that villain character didn't put up much of a fight, apart from trying to come with them at the end there. I'm suprised his henchman tried to kill him too, why do the writers put in weird stuff like that anyway

Simple answer is it's sci fi :P
Everything in Sci Fi seems to self destruct when the baddy is defeated(spoofed somewhat in Austin Powers)

TV Schedules don't exist that far ahead! ;)

I'm not convinced Lumic/Cyber Controller is dead. Falling into flames from a great height? It's not as if he can melt very easily, is it?

For a second I thought you guys said Doctor Who would show on Sundays instead of Saturdays (on BBC1). What's the story of this week's ep again?

Something about televisions and Churchill's Britain resembling Stalin's Russia.

It will also feature something I overheard as being Men In Black? Perhaps it's the first appearance of Torchwood Agents?
