Heh, I haven't really picked up pokemon in the past few months since I have been commiting platime to strategy games like Fire Emblem and Advance Wars. This thread has re-lighted my interest.

Anyway, when there is a new generation of pokemon games coming out, I'm all over it. Special Edition (Yellow, Crystal, Emerald) games really don't excite me that much. I usually only get them if I have enough money to spend. The problem is when I finish the elite four end catch the resident lvl 70 pokemon, I lose interest. Right now, I'm hoping to get a Pokemon Box for my GC sometime.

Try playing Netbattle then...its a good substitute if you don't have access to regional tournaments.

I'm playing Leaf Green at the mo, training before going up Victory Road. I love the game, its probably my favorite (mainly because of Nidoking) but i was dissapointed to see things like the berry system and the variations of pokeballs from Johto left out.

Once i finish Green and Collosseum i'm going to merge my teams, all i know for ceratin is that Ill have NidoKing and Nidoqueen Blazenkin and Gardivor. Those guys have got to be my favorites.

I just got tired since I got to the point I was winning way too much....

Only time I play it now is when I have a few minutes spare and bored.

Yep, I've been noticing quite a few of them show up around here. It's rather nice actually, because they are showing their loyalty and fanaticism to one of the biggest franchises ever to hit Earth. I like looking at what teams everyone has.

Aww, you do? It was either her or Lyn, so I decided which ever would be easier. I'll probably change it soon I'm guessing because I have more ideas in mind.

Well I had bad experience with her......Lyn I dislike for character but is good as a unit and Eirika both character and the fact she always loves being useless in my games.

That and I like Karla most out of the sword girls...shes so neglected.

13! Look what you did to Sety's avatar! It's so adorable. I need to put together a Pichu/ Azurill/ Minun /Plusle /Eeevee /Smoochum team now just because of that! And I think Minun and Plusle both need two evolutions which are posititive/negative versions of Pichu and Raichu.

If I raised them to level 100, and bred them from generations of high-end pokemon then they could be awesome. I know, I'll leave a team like that to toast but... they're so cute.

You'd BETTER leave it to me! I've been working hard at trying to find a Plusle! But then I will have to replace two of my Pokemon. I would replace my Wishmur and Wingull, but I think wingull is the only Pokemon on my team that can learn fly. Unless torchic can learn fly. Can it?

That's why I literally have to go to a Pokemon Center after every battle. It's a good thing my Ralts has teleport, I can warp to the last used healing spot!

13 just had an idea!

A few months before Diamond/Pearl, Nintendo should release a not-rushed GBA version of Yellow, which ties more close to the anime! For example:
-You meet Brock's little brother after you battle Brock and later on in the game you can find their long-lost mother and if you go back to the gym you can see she's been reunited. Awww.
-Instead of Bill turning into a Pokemon, you could help him look for a Dragonite.
-You meet Misty's three sisters.
-Misty and Brock become close friends with you.
-Tauros are really common in the Safari Zone.
-After you beat Erica a first time (she'd only use some of her Pokemon), a fire starts in the gym and you have to somehow help put it out. Then you resume the battle and fight the rest of her remaining Pokemon.
-You meet the extinct Pokemon in a cave on Cinnabar Island and earn a Togepi egg after defeated or capturing the one Areodactyl in the game, also in the cave.
-The legendary birds are nowhere to be found in their respective places... hmm...
-After beating the Elite Four and your rival, you watch a cutscne of your character losing and you don't win the Indigo League.
-Surprise! There are no Seven Islands, but Prof. Oak wants you to pick up the GS Ball from Prof. Ivy on the Orange Islands after you lose the Indigo League.
-You do just that. Prof. Ivy tells you about the Orange League and you begin to particpate in it. You meet Tracey on the first island, and he becomes a recurring character that you battle whenever you see him.
-You find a mix of Kanto and Johto Pokemon on the islands. You can earn the four Orange Island badges and win the Orange League. Yay!
-About halfway through the Orange Islands, you hear of a mysterious storm that may flood the Earth! You have to get the three stones and put them on Fire, Ice, and Thunder Island where the legendary birds are hanging out. After you do that, the legendary birds go back to their homes in Kanto and you encoutner (and can catch) Lugia.
-Oh, and Jeese and James are recurring characters that you have to battle, too.

Now how would Nintendo do all of that? Hmm, I'll just keep dreaming.

I don't understand the point of net battle, myself. All it is is battling, right? That's the worst part of Pokemon.

Pokemon is all about catching and raising groups and teams of monsters. You'd doing it for the battle system, sure, but that's still the fun part. The battle system is just kinda there, an excuse to add stuff to the real point of the game.

And net battle lacks that part. So what's the point?
