Well, Nintendo's shown five Pearl/Diamond Pokemon. What I want to see is the starters. And the Pokemon the games will have on the box art.

When I said that I meant more of a blowout with starters and a bunch of other Pokemon shown rather than mainly showing off Pokemon that are mostly premiering in the anime series and movies.

I believe they have already unveiled the official English name of Sudowoodo's pre-evolution as Bonsly. Which makes it the second named pokemon after Munchlax.

13, your last sentence is missing some key words.

I wonder what Pokemon will be on the covers of the two new Pokemon video games for Nintendo DS: "Pokemon: Pearl Version" and "Pokemon: Diamond Version".

Happy?

EDIT: Oh, if any one cares, my Mom found my copy of Emerald. w00t.

I began playing Crystal again. Spent about thirteen hours playing, and I have the eight Johto badges, but I don't think I'm ready for the League yet...

While looking around for all my DS/GBA games this morning, I unearthed Pokemon Sapphire. I don't ever remember buying it... but there it was. o.o

It's fun, I've got 5 little dudes on my team. :P

Anyone got a good strategy for fighting Norman without using Psychic and Fighting types?

Hey, some Pearl and Diamond info has been revealed:

http://www.serebii.net/index2.shtml

Check the update called "Monday: Pokemon Ranger & Diamond/Pearl.

-They will be released in 06.
-Connectivity to the third generation games. Now bvuying Emerald wasn't worthless. ^_^
-16 players can link at once.
-No new types, but new type combos. I'm hoping for Grass/Fire myself.

Norman's Pokemon have Faint Attack.

You're better off using a Steel-type Pokemon.

If you have the right version, a bred Sableye with Recover will rape him since its not weak to Faint Attack and immune to normal attacks.

Steel type works too but the majority of them aren't worth using or a pain to get.....

Steelix and Scizor need trading and Metal Coat, Mawile fails at life, Skarmory is godamn rare but the most sought after and Forretress's attacking abilities are near pathetic without a Hidden Power Bug or Earthquake.

With D&P's connectivity to the GBA games, i wonder weather you can send the new Poke's back to GBA. Probably not, its likely to be like GSC was to RBY with no new pokes or moves sent back. This will probably be easier as we wont get a plethora of new moves like in GSC.

Actually I'am hoping for some more moves....and some fixed traits....

Some traits are way too broken especially Natural Cure on Blissey, and the moves could do with more expanding still, a few more support moves. Then there also Pokemon who have no decent attacks to take advantage of their stats with like Kingler.

Meh... Sableye isn't that great due to its sub-par stats.

Skarmory is godamn rare but the most sought after

Take a Magnemite with Magnet Pull to Route 113. :D

The biggest change I would like to see is to make Strength a Rock or a Fighting-type move. I'm sick of Surf and Fly being the only useful HMs.

Catching a Skarmory isn't the same as brutally murdering one in one hit which is Magnemites sole purpose >_>

And a Nosepass would do the same thing without killing it so long it doesn't happen to have a whirlwind.

I really ought to get a new pokemon game, cos i've only got Red, and that got boring once i completed it. I wanted to get gold or silver, but I didn't have enough before they went off the shelves.

I wouldn't mind getting a GBA version, but i don't want Fire Red or Leaf Green cos they're a remake of the originals, sort of.

A bit of a pointless ramble, i guess, but i wanted to contribute to this convo

I've played most of the pokemon games, but my favorites are still the oldschool ones :: Red, blue, and yellow. One pokemon that I didn't like was Pokemon pinball, but, then again, I am not a pinball fan. And I really didn't find it worth the money to pay for pokemon card.... so *cough* yeah. I'm bad. I have the rom.
