Water doesn't damage records, 13. It only leaves a residue that causes noise, and that can be gotten rid of with a Nitty Gritty Record Master or a similar expensive record-cleaning unit. I've dealt with that issue before, so your corruption would fail to last. I'll remove this if you edit that post.
