Bleh, me either. It's still IPA and wheat beer season!
Speaking of which, the new Molson Canadian Wheat is rather lovely.

I <3 CA Cabernet Sauvignon.
Yes, that is an actual wine. And it is not terrible for only being five bucks a bottle.

They were hosting a wedding there when I went! You should just do the whole shebang right there.

I must say, after spending an hour in cold pool water prepping it to close...Fall Woodchuck was delightful.

Yes, it's much cooler outside now too! When I wrote that it was still 80% humidity and 90ºF.
edit: oh lately I've been drinking a cocktail of gin, soda, and this ginger liqueur called Domaine de Canton with a squeeze of lemon juice. It's pretty darn good.

I bought a 650 ml bottle of Yeti Imperial Stout beer last night.
9% ABV and cost me ten bucks.
I'm not sure how I feel about the taste - probably need to drink some more stouts, but.
Dear God. For a pint and a half of beer I was fucked. UP.
(and by fucked up I mean a little bit tipsy. BUT ON A PINT AND A HALF)

You must have skulked it. Stouts are beautiful to me, and I can drink more than my fair share but I find if you down stouts like that you tend to become inebriated rather efficiently.

ARISE, THREAD
I am drinking a by-now very-out-of-season summer beer by Blue Moon, called "Agave Nectar". I never would have looked twice at it, but the grocery delivery service we use was selling it for $16 for a CASE. A CASE. 24 beers for $16. So I bought it. It isn't bad, it isn't great, and it was ultra cheap.
I just wanted to brag.

That is quite the deal.
Last night was Dundee Oktoberfest for me. I'm told it's not a "real" Oktoberfest, but I like it.

Leinenkugel Oktoberfest. Pretty damn good for a cheap 'un. Any Oktoberfest or Marzen-style is pretty much gonna float my boat, though. October is the best time of year for beer.

Damn, I like spiced ales so that's disappointing. What don't you like about it?

just had this:
Posted 07 December 2013 - 10:47 PM
I had a friend over. I also had a craft-your-own six pack with 6 different Winter ales. We tasted them head to head.
Top two:
Southern Tier 2XMAS.

It's what I was hoping for from a winter beer. Spiced like a Christmas cookie and nice and malty. It was kind of like a mulled wine, but with beer.
Great Lakes Christmas Ale

Also spiced like Christmas, but not as strongly. It also tasted of honey, so it was an interesting mix of sweet and spicy. I liked it a lot.

Maybe I'll try to pick up the Christmas ale when I go back home to Cincinnati!

Watching Star Trek.
Drinking ginger ale.
Holding back the chunks.

NyQuil. I'm drinking NyQuil. It's terrible.
3/10 would not recommend.

I'm drinking coffee so I can finish this philosophy assignment.

I'm drinking a homebrew that was given out as a wedding favor, crafted by the best man. I am most pleased.

I'm drinking a slightly dirty martini with pickled green tomatoes for the garnish, made with gin distilled locally in Americus, Georgia.
