[Impossible]

Don't use colors for emphasis, rather italics or bold. That's about the only thing that comes to mind.

I'm not using colours for emphasis. I don't think that's ever the case, colour is only used to distinguish who the comments are from, and which language version the text is from. I think that's a good way to do it.

Thanks for those, jacen. I was most curious about that last Korok line, and it seems there is in fact a difference there, although not one I ever thought of. I wonder why NoA did that...

I also just found something missing I completely forgot to ask about. Regarding this part:

When I downloaded the first version of the TWW xls, I recall finding some colored comments. But I guess I could be mistaken.

Anyway...

That is very different!
While the official translation by stating "the Koroks took on human forms" seems to indicate that they had a previous form and then took that one, the use of the word originally in Japanese would seem to indicate that they had that form for as long as they existed!

Technically this quote isn't completely pointless, it again relates back to the symbolism of wind that certain people would like to pretend doesn't exist. But I kind of just want it to have the full ending translated.

Seeing Darunia's quote clears up the matter of what he was talking about in regards to sealing evil. The English version makes it sound like Darunia was thanking Link for helping him seal the evil in Death Mountain/the Sacred Realm, while in the Japanese version he was actually saying that he was looking forward to helping Link seal Ganondorf.

The Impa quote about when Hyrule fell is more or less the same. From what I can tell in OoT, Hyrule fell on the same day that Link opened the Door of Time and Ganondorf acquired the Triforce of Power.

Ruto's line about princess Zelda makes more sense in Japanese. She robably is in the know of the whole Sheik business at that point... so she wouldn't really have to "feel" that Zelda is alright.

I don't see why that'd be true. Hyrule Castle could easily keep on fighting; Ganondorf was just specifically after Zelda during the battle. I don't see why that'd be true. Hyrule Castle could easily keep on fighting; Ganondorf was just specifically after Zelda during the battle. I figured that Impa was talking about the later events of the day with that statement. Otherwise it wouldn't make any sense. The Hylians are clearly in control of the castle and Zelda needing to flee does not require the guards to surrender.

But the castle clearly hasn't surrendered or otherwise been defeated. If anything it's better off than before since additional security made it impossible to sneak into the castle.

Maybe because she had to flee before the first battle was over, Impa mistakenly thought that the battle continued and that the castle fell from that assault? If Ganondorf immediately followed Link back to Castle Town and he wasn't dropped into some inane corner of the Sacred Realm, he could have been demolishing Hyrule Castle with the Triforce of Power in about an hour.

Yes, this is hypothetical, but I'm just throwing it out there.

To me, it just sounds like the guard was nothing more than a casualty. Just because one guy died doesn't mean that the guards were defeated or surrendered, especially since the guards have complete control of the situation up at the castle.

As you can see, Jumbie had it completely right.

Jaki is written with the kanji 邪器 and they mean "evil tool/device". You're confusion comes from the fact that, at first, Jumbie thought that the furigana (characters giving the pronunciation of kanji) gave it a double meaning with the term 邪鬼 also pronounced "jaki", but I'm pretty sure he later said he was wrong about that. Which he was.
In short, jaki means "evil tool/device" and that's that.

Thank you Jacen, though the specific quote Lex was referring to on ZU was the statement Zelda makes after being freed in the middle of the Ganon fight. You know, it was along the lines of "The man who took the Trident, the demon's evil device revived from ancient times!".

Jumbie covered that and still said that Ja-ki was still only referring to a tool or device, but Lex says she messed up.
