OoC: I know it's long. Bear with me please. XD

“Look! A Legends Alliance ship!”

Germanlink awoke to this teen-age sounding voice and quickly sat up. "Arrgh! That indeed be the Legends Alliance flag!" said the pirate next to Germanlink. Germanlink stood up and noticed it had completely stopped raining. He then looked to his left and saw a much larger ship nearby.

"Arrgh! everyone get yerselves ready!" yelled a pirate who was at the quarterdeck. "Someone wake up the captain!" yelled out another. Germanlink noticed all the evnts going down at the ship, some pirates were carrying supplies to the below decks, some were grabbing weapons and hiding them in their pockets or in crates.

After a few minutes, Germanlink saw that the Legends Alliance ship was only about 10 feet away from the pirate vessel. The Alliance ship was about three times as big as the pirate vessel. Then, Germanlink saw a large wooden plank some down from the other ship, it went down towards the pirate vessel, connecting the both of them.

A tall, armored figure decended from the plank, towards the smaller vessel. He had long red hair, and waving with each step he took. And on his belt he carried a long, thick sword. By his side were two tall me as well, who were also armored but carried a metal helmet each. As the three stepped into the pirate vessel, the one with the red hair spoke. His voice was deep and powerful.

"I am Captain Colnijo Panus, I sail the Lalvican sea under the Alliance flag under Khuffie's rule. According to Khuffie's new plan, I and a chosen few have been tasked to sail Alliance ships and make the seas safer by capturing all pirate ships that do not travel by the flag of the Alliance."

Everyone started to mumble amongst themselves. The man started talking again, "Now...I demand that you surrender this sship to me and to the Alliance, OR you shall all be imprisooned!". THe pirates grew enraged, they started yelling and cursing at Captain Colnijo. One of them said "We will never surrender to ye!" he then took out a knife and ran towards the captain. Captain Colnijo pulled out a gun, dodged the pirate's strike, and aimed the gun at the pirate's face. With the pull of a trigger there was a loud noice and a large hole in the pirate's head. The pirate fell face-flat to the ground, blood spilling from his head.

Captain Colnijo spoke again, "Ahh...you all choose to fight, good good...get them! Don't let one of these filthy creatures survive!". The two men next to Colnijo drew their swords, and in an instant, soilders from the Alliance ship were jumping into the pirate vessel. Germanlink watched a large scale battle unfold below the crows nest and he then jumped down.

The Alliance?! Why did we have to take a pirate ship again? Lena thought to herself, hearing the outside voices and the pirates starting to fight. She ran back into her room to take her things: Her cloak, a bundle of medicines and fruits, and put them in a knapsack. She then made her way hurriedly to where she was before.
Hopefully they wouldn't check below deck, would they? She was then blocked out of her concious as she felt large, knobby fingers curl around her waist. It was one of the crew from the Alliance ship.

"My my," His voice was muddy, and flat. "What's a fine lass like yerself doin' on a pirate's ship like this?" He tried to bring her closer but was replied by a sharp smack to the face.

"LET GO OF ME!!" She screamed, moving violently to get out of his reach.

He trapped her against one of the walls of the hallway, chuckling as he did. He tried to pull her dress up, but he was given a swift kick to the crotch, Lena gave all her might to it. He yelped in pain as he slid down the floor. Lena quickly gathered the knapsack that fell to the floor. She then ran with all her might so that he his stubby legs wouldn't catch up with her. She prayed that somebody heard her scream, so that it be warning that they are comming in.

"Keh! These damn seas are always-" he came out of the cabin to see people scurrying around in panic of a ship. "...crazy."

He remained calm, he saw the poor man get kicked, right in the crotch, and was bending over in pain.

He just sighed and tipped the guy over with the tip of his sword, and calmy boarded the other ship.

"So. I am allowed to kill everyone here, right? At least it will be something fun to do."

Kitsune drew his cursed blade and got ready.

XI heard Lena’s scream. It was a warning that they were coming in! Not that XI knew that at first. Despite the ruckus and gunshot going on around him, it took Lena’s high pitched scream to wake him up. Confused on what exactly was going on, XI pushed himself off his bed. Girls screaming for help equal a good opportunity to show off! Learning from his previous errors, XI reached for dagger, hidden under the blanket under the bed with the chest. Cursing himself for being so ill-prepared, XI shuffled among the blanket to find his dagger slicing through his lower left arm.

“Dammit!” XI shouted, unaware of the high volume of his voice. He grabbed the dagger and hurriedly left the now empty room, being thankful that he was right-handed. Exposing his nearly naked form to the world again, XI immediately spotted the figure of Lena fleeing her room. A fat man soon emerged behind her, crouching over and wincing in pain. XI remembered the words that let him exit his dreamscape.

”Let go of me!”

“What did you do to her?!” XI cried, throwing his dagger blindly; it missed by what seemed a mile.

The fat man turned around expecting a fully grown force to be dealt with, only to be amused by the enraged, bare-chested figure of XI, charging and slipping. Still only half awake and with the pain of an injured arm, XI wasn’t in the perfect charging condition. Eventually making it down to the hallway, XI was grabbed the enemy. Squeezing the kid against his chest and large arms, the man was nearly choking XI to death. After a few moments of struggling, the world began to become a bit surreal and dreamy… But a figure appeared before them! It was-

devil ball? It grew legs… Wait, duh! XI managed to realize as air left him.

The hedgehog jumped onto the air and rolled into a ball. Like a heat-seeking missile, the hedgehog slammed into the jaw of XI’s opponent, pushing him backwards. The hold on him loosened, XI broke away and found the hedgehog right next to his ear. Confused but glad this save had come, XI grabbed the hedgehog and held him overhead, ignoring the pain he had become accustomed to.

“What are you doing, stupid boy?!” the hedgehog shouted.

“Devil ball in the eye, fat man!” XI yelled as if calling out an attack name.

XI punched his rival across the face, making sure the hedgehog’s spines left their mark. After gaining a satisfactory hit, XI jumped to his feet and tossed the hedgehog to the ground. By the time he retrieved his dagger, the Alliance warrior had gotten up also, counseling his face with his overly-large hands. With a word, XI swiped his dagger across his back twice, leaving a bloody X. Gasping for breath, XI watched as the fat man fell to his knees and then downwards.

Gaining his breath and unsure of whether or not his assault was fatal, XI stuttered, “I- I-”

“Never mind that now!” the hedgehog shouted, hoping onto XI’s left shoulder, “We’re under attack by the Alliance!”

“Right!” XI agreed, confused, “Legends Alliance? You know, I feel stupid now about not figuring out what you were.”

“You’re name’s stupid boy, isn’t it?” the hedgehog responded.

“You don’t have to be so mean…” XI grunted.

“You don’t have to be so rough, throwing me to the ground like that! But never mind this, run!” the hedgehog shouted in XI’s ear.

Now heading for the deck in a run, bloody dagger in hand and hedgehog on shoulder, XI greeted “XI.”

“Sonic,” the hedgehog answered.

XI arrived to the deck and saw the fight scene before him. “Lord,” XI said quietly, “What is the Alliance doing?” Without an answer, Sonic leapt off XI’s shoulder and joined the melee. After a moment of hesitation, XI followed suit.

“What would you do if I could get you free of here?”

Ignoring Ayden’s smirk Perseus began to ponder.
What would he do? It seemed in a few short hours Perseus had been caught up in something greater than himself. First he was given an important message… (who from he didn’t know) to be delivered too someone else he had also forgotten… he strained to remember. Nothing.

Flexing his wings, Perseus continued to search his memory… looking for a trace of something that could help bring it all back.
Ayden’s offer of freedom was a good one, but he was confused. What would he do once free? He knew once he flew away from the ship his life would once again be purposeless. He could try to hunt down the Society of Laz as he had been doing before, or he could search for the source of the message he had been commanded to deliver. But where could he possibly start?

Perseus was torn.

“What is the purpose of this voyage? Where are you heading?”

Ayden opened his mouth to speak but was cut short by another voice, yelling.

“Look! A Legends Alliance ship!”

Perseus and Ayden both swiftly turned there heads to scan the horizon, seeing the ship.

“Is that an ally?” Perseus asked.

“No. But this will probably be your best chance to fly away, if you wish it.”

The ship came closer and closer finally sailed up alongside the companion’s own ship.
They dropped a plank, and out stepped the hulking figure of Captain Colnijo Panus, stating his challenge.
There was a general roar from the crew and the battle begun.

Perseus turned to Ayden, but he wasn’t there, he had already joined the fray. In his place was a soldier of unpleasant countenance, staring confusedly at Perseus’ back.
The soldier drew his sword, Charging at perseus. He was soon foiled however by one huge flap of Perseus’ wings which knocked him flat on his back.
Quickly Perseus launched, picking up the soldier (now disarmed) as he went.
He flew to a reasonable altitude and quickly threw the man into the sea. Diving back down to join the battle.

Damn I could really use a bow right now…

It had begun, and Perseus knew this was his only chance to instil trust with his companions.
As he landed at the back of the ship he saw Captain Panus, wreaking havoc in the middle of the deck. Perseus picked up the sword of the previously dispatched man, and dived over the crowd, heading straight for Panus.

"...6...7...8...9" Kitsune was just saying outloud as he was swiping and decapatating his opponents.

He stopped for a second to realize that despite the swiping, the blood on his sword was still there. He flicked it a few times, but none came off.

It remained to be a blood-red blade.

...this damn blade. Its absorbing the blood...if it reaches its full corruption, I dont know what will-

His thoughts were interrupted by the scene of Perseus heading for Captain Panus.

He put the sword back in the sheath, and armed the sheath as the weapon as not to let the sword absorb anymore of the blood. He ran toward the Captain, but then he stopped for a second, realizing that hes never seen Perseus fight.

Keh. Ill help him when he needs it...

He stood just staring at the two, despite the battle and chaos that was going on around the deck. If anyone came near him, he either knocked them out with a punch, or gave them a nasty slice with his claws...

After Lena gained composure, she realized that XI had just saved her life by killing that oaf of a a man. She turned back to see a big "X" on the man, and then shuddered as she turned back to keep running. Before she was able to say "Thank you!" To XI and his little hedgehog, they dived into the fight. She thought that she saw Perseus and Kitsune already fighting. I guess that I should join in with my comrades.... So she triggered her mind, knowing that no one this time was behind her. Finding all of the groups voices, she whispered into their heads.

When you hear me shout, close your eyes

She quietly whipsered a little prayer, and then bursted the door open as she ran out, most of the pirates and alliance men stopped to see who opened the door. She raised her right hand and shouted:

"SOLARIS!!" She saw that some of them closed their eyes before she closed hers, and all that was seen was a blinding pure white light.

ooc: i know this is damn long, but i cant help myself :D

Perseus was moving swiftly through the air, gliding over the sea of warriors furiously battling.
As he closed in on Panus, Perseus held out his sword ready for a high-powered strike… fuelled by his momentum.
About two metres away from Perseus… Panus swung around, catching eye of the winged man as he rapidly approached him.
Perseus lifted up the big sword when he was right upon Panus, and suddenly flipped around, using the drag of his wings to bring his sword down at the highest possible power, right towards Panus’ head.

CLANG!

Panus had barely had enough time to lift up his massive broadsword to deflect the hit, and the momentum of Perseus’ blow, sent him reeling backwards. Perseus himself was sent flying backwards, straight onto the hard deck, his sword having snapped easily in half. Panus, seeing his aggressor was down, regained his balance and rushed towards Perseus holding his sword up over his head for a killing stroke.
Perseus opened his eyes, after being temporarily stunned, saw the huge form of Panus approaching him at high speed. The sword came down, and knowing he couldn’t roll over, Perseus only had one option.

Hoping against hope, he swiftly spread his wings and flapped them towards Panus as hard as he could, causing a huge wave of wind to hit Panus straight in the face…
However it did not move the hulking Captain, and his arms continued to come down…
Perseus braced himself, but nothing happened.
Panus stood, Bewildered, no sword in his hand to be found. With the flap Perseus had blown the huge broadsword straight out of Panus’ hands and straight up into the air, and into the sea. Panus had been disarmed.
Realising what had happened the Huge Captain came back to himself, and turned to Perseus, intending to grind him to the ground with his foot.
But he was gone.
Suddenly Panus felt a huge jolt as Perseus did a dive attack from behind, trying to knock him into the sea. Caught off balance, Panus stood up and rubbed his head. watching as his adversary flew in an arch behind him, again trying to go in for a dive attack. But this time Panus didn’t fall for it, and he ducked, watching Perseus glide over his head. As he passed Panus waited for the right moment then reached up and grabbed his foot, stopping him in mid-air. Perseus flapped and struggled as Panus tried to swing him into the mast, sending him flying toward it. Perseus quickly flapped outwards, and barely missed the mast, as he flew through the air.

Perseus recovered in the air quickly and was again in control of himself.
“Winged one,” Panus taunted, “Will you not come down and fight me like a man? I thought angels were brave.”
At this panus pulled out two small swords, matching in size and decoration. He looked more than ready.

“As you can see, oh captain, I am armed with naught but my wings, if they were as sharp as those knives, I would gladly join you.”

Panus faced turned sour as he picked up a sword and tossed it in the air.

“Are we even now, creature?”

That one hit the spot, and Perseus began to get angry, as he glided down and landed in front of Panus… folding up his wings as tight as he could.

“They really do get in the way of so many daily activities…” he explained to Panus, trying to hide his anger.

Panus, now angry also, Charged Perseus, going for an downwards slash.
But his lithe opponent , quickly rolled to the side, slashing at Panus’ exposed back.
Blood spurted out, and Panus instantly flipped around, enraged, swinging his sword in all directions at the form of Perseus. Perseus stepped back at the sudden onslaught and lost his footing, overcome.

Again Perseus was on the ground, again he was disarmed, but this time with the Alliance Captain standing over him with a foot on one of his wings, holding him down painfully.
Now you die, freak of nature, You should never have challenged Panus To battle. Panus lifted his swords ready for the strike.
Suddenly a voice rung in Perseus’ head.

Close your eyes.

He knew it must’ve been the priestess, nothing else had the soothing effect on his nerves like her aura. (besides the Hot pools of the Tor-Denma mountains.)

Perseus swiftly shut his eyes.

SOLARIS!

Suddenly a blinding light emanated from practically nowhere, emitting cries of pain from the opposing crewman, and some of the pirates, who were not quick enough to shut their eyes.
The light ceased, but everyone affected by the spell was blinded and confused, often even writhing on the floor, rubbing their eyes.

Perseus looked up to see a pained Panus, his swords, clanging on the floor as he rubbed his eyes.
Taking the opportunity, Perseus, jumped up with the two short swords, and plunged them into Panus’ Heart.
He staggered, his life growing short.
“Your lucky your not alone boy, or you would… *choke*… you would’ve been defeated…easily… wait until you have to… *cough*…. face real warriors…”
He spluttered and died, a huge thump resounding through the deck as he fell. His red ponytail, still blowing in the wind, as if he were alive.
Thus ended the life of Captain Colnijo Panus, Khuffie’s trusted officer in the Alliance navy.

The two bodyguards saw their leader defeated and instantly rushed towards Perseus (they were not stunned because of their helmets) Perseus prepared to fly, but Kitsune, swiftly sidestepped in front of him and dispatched the two very unfortunate soldiers.

[Jeez, you guys do go too fast! Is it only slow when I'm online or something?]

Both Gabriel and Motoko felt that they could do nothing to help their friends. Especially with only a giant hammer between the two. Suddenly, they sensed a light attack from Lena that only took out a small number of the Alliance soldiers.
Gabriel then stood up. "It looks like we've no choice in the matter. You up to it?"
Motoko nodded and stood up as well.
They then closed their eyes and linked their ki. Then, as if one, they ran up to the main deck, past Lena, and leaped into the air. Then then jump-kicked a soldier and backflipped before landing in a crane-style Kung Fu stance, their backs to each other

Good, it worked. She said to herself. She took down her hand, and saw some of the alliance members were writhing in blinding pain, squirming like newborn pups on the deck. The others were still fighting, because their helmets blocked off the spell. She walked along them, trying not to to get tripped by any limbs, and drop-kicking any that came near her.

"How long will we be until Forsaken Fortress? The Solaris spell will be in affect for only a few hours for those who are still alive." Lena shouted to them, still fighting off a couple of the alliance. She only had to plans, either take a new ship to use, or we take all of the alliance crew off of the ship.

It had been awhile since she had to use one of her strongest powers, but she knew they would probably need her help when they reached the pirate-infested island.

[Im going to try, one last time. May triple post.]

Keh! You think bodyguards would be good at their job... Kitsune thought while looking down at his still blood stained blade.

His sword started vibrating, and blood began to drip off of it. He was staring down at it curiously as the battle raged on, with half the people still on the floor crying in pain.

Suddenly, all the blood started glowing, and rushed up Kitsune's blade, into his hand.

"What?!" Kitsune said as he dropped the blade, but it was to late, the blood of the sword was already inside him...

Heh, this is what you desired, Kitsune. Whats with that pain struck face of yours? Said his chuckling blade, as Kitsune felt as he was being torn from the inside.

He didnt scream, he was just holding his arm trying to contain the pain, but it wasnt working out.

Suddenly, something changed, his fangs had become more visible as he smiled an insane smile, and readied his claws at the already disabled crew.

Without thinking, without sympathy, without the feeling of sorrow, he attacked the disabled crew, without mercy. Striking heads off in one direction, impaling other member's hearts in the other, it was a scene of intense blood and screaming.

They may have been blind, and deaf, but he didnt care. Normally he would, but something was driving him to kill more. He got some sort of pleasure out of killing everyone in sight. Meanwhile, the blade just laughed its evil laugh.

By now, most of the disabled ones were gone, the remaining ones, Kitsune dashed toward, and killed them too.

Finally stopping, he looked at the deck filled with blood...

"Keh...this is...me?" Kitsune said looking down at his claws that were covered in enough blood to make it look as if his claws were naturally red...

He turned to his own allies, with his blood stained claws, and face with two jagged stripes of purple on each side... and readied for an attack.

(wow, that came out of nowhere. Ok, lets see if I can write on with this...I have to go out for a bit, so don't expect me to be posting still.)

Oh no, that blade...its demonic!?!

He saw the twisted look in his eyes as the jagged purple stripes pulsed. He was being controlled by his own damn blade. She looked back at all the members of their group, looking in shocked horror, and seeing Motoko have big tears in her eyes.

"Kitsune," She said, trying her best to remain calm.

"I know that you are still in there somewhere. Now get a grip of yourself and control the beast within! If you can't, then I do not allow you to pass. She stood in front of the group, blocking him from attacking.

Despite the protests of the rest of the group, Motoko, still crying, ran to Kitsune.
"Please stop this, Kit-kun!!" she yelled out and hugged his now-bloodstained body. "Please...... I...." Ai shiteru....

He was stopped in mid-dash by an unexpected hug...

"Mo..Motoko-chan?..." He said as he felt her tears coming onto his blood stained clothing, and the softness of her body hugging against him.

Whats the matter? Move on...kill her! And nothing can stop your ultimate power... His sword said trying to get rid of the only threat to Kitsune's corrupted body.

He raised his dominant hand, and readied his claws for a downward swipe on her, he looked at the sorrow in her eyes, but no fear as he was ready to split her in two.

In an instant, he swiped downward, but stopped right in front of her head...he pushed her away, and walked, in a bit of a staggered fashion back to his sword...

What...what are you doing?! This could be a chance for you to become the demon you wanted!

He ignored his sword speaking to him..

The bastard...almost made me kill my own companions... Thought Kitsune as he coughed up some blood. It was eating away from the inside...

He picked up the sword, and placed it in his sheath. He turned back once more, still with his purple stripes...

"Dont...come closer...or follow...me." He said as he, in a rather reluctant manner, toward Lena, in an agressive stance.

"This blade...wants me to get rid of you...youre to pure..." he said pointing at Lena.

She was getting into a defensive posistion, when he just collapsed from all the fighting he had done inside against his possession.

He laid there, wounded, and covered in blood, but his eyes had returned to normal, and his marks were gone.

"What the hell?" Is all Germanlink could say when he saw the Kitsune kill countless, helpless soilders. He had in fact, killed many pirates as well. Germanlink saw the entire quarterdeck filled with bodies and pretty much flooded in blood. "I was gonna say let's take the Alliance ship, but that ship is probably very slow compared to this one."

"*sigh* everyone move out the way...I'm gonna try to clean this ship up, let's get to the Forsaken Fortess as soon as possible." One of the pirates grabbed Kitsune and put him on his shoulder, carrying him to the upper back deck of the ship.

As soon as the entire quarterdeck itself was cleared of all the pirates, and the rest of the crew, Germanlink summoned a wind spell that sweeped the entire outside of the ship, with this wind we're carried off the bodies of the dead. All around the ship, the water was splashing with boides, and then, about ten feet all around the ship, the water grew a reddish tint.

"Alright, lets get the hell out of here before the dried up blood on the ship starts to stink up the place." Germanlink looked around and relaized that only about 15 pirates were left alive, the rest were killed in the battle either by the Alliance warriors or the Kitsune. Germanlink climbed back up to see that the crow's nest pirate had never left. "Well, bud...if we continue on at this speed without any more distractions, we'll reach the fortress by tonight right?" the pirate looked up at the sky, now completely clear and sunny, "Arrgh, ye be right." as he nodded to Germanlink.

* * *

Back at the Forbidden Fortress itself, Ken sat at the docks, his legs dangling over the water. He heaved a heavy sigh. He was ordered on a mission for a certain treasure, but all the other boats were on duty. Even when tried to find a crew, no one took him seriously--he was just too young. He would have tried taking a ship and crew by force, but feared backlashes from such actions.

The boy looked at the horizon, waiting. The ship that went after the Namor would be back soon. He would help out his friends, and be able to take them out when they were done, maybe dropping them off at the island of his destination.

Ken got up and started walking up the ramparts, hoping make the time go by.

(OOC: I have temporarily decided to freeze the Crimson Chest thread to continue doing some work here before going in it again. Just to make things clear, Ken recieved his orders to find the Crimson Chest, but can't, will help finish the current Quest for the Blade, and will then move on to Crimson chest.)

The pirate who woke XI up was alive. Somehow. He had managed to fall onto a random piece of wreckage, floating along the ocean. Despite his fortune to stay alive, the pirate’s limbs were all broken; he was literally dying from thirst, and was now having trouble deciphering truth from reality. All that really mattered now was getting his revenge on XI and the angel. It was apparently going to busy to get to them too, considering he was only a kilometer or two away from the Forsaken Fortress carrier.

The wind had been pushing the piece of wreckage and its passenger along after the carrier. It fell out of sight every now and then, but somehow the broken-limbed pirate would always end up within view of it. The pirate knew where Perseus was too, he was watching him all night. It was amusing seeing him wander around the sky for hours before finally finding a ship, which the pirate had soon realized was the carrier! This was perfect, both enemies in one place. Hopefully nothing would cause the piece of wreckage to sink.

A bit after another ship had boarded the carrier, a shadow eclipsed the pirate’s sunlight. He was so busy trying to figure out the happenings of the carrier that he completely missed the fact that Perseus was dropping another victim right over him.

“Aah!” The Alliance warrior shouted as he plummeted.

“Uh…” the pirate muttered to himself, figuring another hallucination was occurring.

The warrior somehow fell onto the wreckage too with a sickening crack. Now he was crippled too.

“Pirate!”

“Illusion!”

“Ow!”

“Yeah.”

“We’re sinking!”

“What?!”

“Aah!”

“You’re weighing us down! Move!”

“I can’t!”

“Aah!”

“Aah!”

“Aah!”

“Aah!”

“Aah!”

“Blurbb!”

“Blurbb!”

The wreckage continued its descent into the water, with both of Perseus’s victims continuing their screams.

Back on the carrier, XI watched in confusion and horror as Kitsune seemingly snapped and then was calmed by Motoko until falling to the floor. One of the few remaining pirates lifted Kitsune over his shoulder and left, as was everyone who had gathered to the fight scene. This was terrible, several pirates were dead. What exactly had just happened? Why did an Alliance ship attack? What happened with Kitsune? But the biggest question on XI’s mind: Was he a murderer or not?

“Hey, stupid boy! Found you!” Sonic called up, now in front of XI’s feet, “That was fast, wasn’t it? I have some questions for you.”

“I got one for fat man,” XI sighed, stepping over Sonic and leaving to the cabin hallway.

“Wha-? Wait up!” Sonic shouted, leaping onto XI’s left shoulder.

XI made it past the corpses, appalled by the thought of accidentally touching one. Being careful not to touch any blood, XI made his way to the hallway. Looking down upon the marked opponent from earlier, he knelt down to get a pulse. Sonic had to be careful not to fall off. XI grinned, despite the situation. The fat man was alive.

From seemingly nowhere, a wind rushed through the hallway. Taken by shock, XI fell over from the gusts. The live body awkwardly moved from its current location onto the deck, making loud thumping noises along the way. Not noticing Sonic’s claws ripping through his flesh as he held on for dear life, XI watched as it left view, and heard it splash along with the others. Finally the winds died down.

Finding his way to his feet, XI shrugged, creating Sonic’s stomach feel awful. “Okay, innocence kept!” XI said a bit too loudly.

“…I think I’m going to go be with someone more level-headed and shouldered…” Sonic muttered.

Ignoring Sonic's comment, XI asked, "I wonder how much more will happen before noon?"

Lena saw that Kitsune had fainted before he could really do anything. But he did tell her to stay away from him. He finally realized what the sword was doing, controlling his own will like a toy puppet. Something would have to ge done about that sword, but that was for another time. She saw one of the few remaining pirates taking him along.

"He'll be alright, you know,"She said out to him.
"Just make sure that he gets some rest. His demon blood needs to course through him so he can heal back up. Make sure he doesn't leave his bed, even if he argues with you." After the pirate left, she sighed as she tied up her hair and hemmed her skirt up alittle, deciding to clean along with the few remaining pirates.

She heard XI's comment as they were finishing up:

"I wonder how much more will happen before noon?" He said, ignoring the little hedgehog that followed him everywhere.

"Maybe a few of you can scavage through the Alliance ship for any useful items? We might be needing some gold when we do get there...maybe the captain has lots stored in his cabin?" She said out to him, as she brought her skirt back to regular length.

She then sat down, looking at the western sky, the sun high above them.

"I also forgot to tell you...thanks for saving me back there. I really hoped that he wouldn't catch me again." She said, shuddering as she made the last statement.

"Now I think that you'll have an I.O.U from me if you ever find yourself in a tight situation." She said to him, still looking at the azure colored sea, gradually making its way to the Forsaken Fortress.

Perseus sat up, rubbing his head.

They had won the battle, but at a bitter cost. Three quarters of the regular crew were dead, either by the hands of the alliance or by the crazed sword of Kitsune… the deck was smeared with blood… remnants of a short but horrific slaughterfest.

The bodies having been cleared away, the crew sat in the doldrums of inactivity, meditating on the battle, and waiting for the approach of the fortress.
The ship was finally moving rapidly through the water as the wind had changed directions towards the fortress, and the sky began to darken… the sky approaching dusk.

Perseus flew through the clouds, dashing in and out of them playfully. He knew flying was the only way he could loosen up his muscles and relieve his stress, and the rest of the crew was so preoccupied that his short aviation went unnoticed… even when he returned, no one seem to pay any attention as he touched down near the back of the ship.
His sharp eyesight instantly saw Lena sitting up the front of the ship alone, dangling her legs over the edge, recollecting.
He glided over to her, landing next to her.

“That light spell you did saved my life… so I just wanted to thank you. What is your name? And why is your face so nostalgic to me, I am sure we have not met before?”

Her blue eyes noticed a figure flying down to her--It was Perseus. She kept on looking at the sea as he started to speak to her.

“That light spell you did saved my life… so I just wanted to thank you. What is your name? And why is your face so nostalgic to me, I am sure we have not met before?” He asked her, sounding normal to then he did earlier on.

She then turned over to look at him. "It was no problem," She then gave him a grin.

"I wanted to get rid of some of the crew, because they kept on comming in like insects." She then paused again.

"My name is Lena. I don't think that we have met before though, I come from the northern lands, in a small village..." She spoke as if she hadn't been to her home in some time, wishing to see the two who raised her up to be who she was now.

"But, that world has to wait for now, besides, we're in the middle of the sea aren't we?" She then lightly giggled, still dangling her legs over the ship's edge.

Perseus smiled

"Well... we wont be in the sea for long, i could already see the fortress from where i was flying before, we will arrive soon.
So you must have lived near Roam right? I have travelled there a few times, it is very peaceful, almost untouched by the alliance's influence. Do you miss it?"

Gabriel and Motoko had followed the rest of the crew belowdeck and sat where they were during the attack.
"You're worried about him, aren't you." she asked.
Motoko nodded.
She put her hand on her daughter's shoulder. "Then, go to him."
"But he--"
"That doesn't matter now. Just go."
She nodded and stood up. "Arigatou, otou-sama." she said as she walked toward Kitsune's cabin

He heard footsteps...but he was in to much pain and deep thought to change his head toward whoever was coming. He could not sense anyone with his nose...either because there was to much blood, or that the person had no scent...

No...scent? Kitsune then realized.

"Motoko...chan?" He said with his eyes closed..."Dammit...I told you...stay away from me!" Kitsune said in a half growling tone...

I cant let her come closer...the sword has a bit of a hold over me...I may kill her... Kitsune thought...

His purple marks were coming back...

"Stay away! I may kill you if you come closer!" He yelled to her...

"I know, but I had to check on you." She slowly took a few more steps, despite Kitsune's protests, and sat down in the chair beside him. She then looked straight into his eyes. "I....." The words she wanted to say to him wouldn't come out

The closer she came, the more in pain he was. It mustve been purification of the blood within him, but whatever it was, it hurt. The sword was still in a chuckle because it seemed like it knew what would happen...

"No...Motoko, I may-" It was to late, she was in his swipe range. He released a massive claw swipe on her, but he missed by about half a centimeter, but he didnt stop there.

Slowly, he got up, and was ready to attack her, with his purple marks now at full, and fangs showing once again.

He attacked her, she stumbled down onto the ground as he barley missed her. He was ready for a downward swipe, when his other arm was holding his dominant arm back.

"Go...please..." He said as he struggled to not kill her...

He couldnt hold it back anymore, his right arm swiped, despite his left claws slicing them up as they went for motoko.

It slashed her across the stomach, not to deep though, he was still resisting.

"Dammit...idiocy!" He said as he reluctantly kicked her out by using his foot...

Still crying, Motoko stood up and took a sutra from her belt. She then ran toward Kitsune and practically slapped it onto his chest. The next step was what she didn't like: Motoko cut her finger open and used her blood to draw a symbol onto the sutra and concentrated some of her ki onto that symbol. "PURIFY!!!!!" The symbol started to glow and the sutra was absorbed into Kitsune's body. His demonic features started to disappear as he slipped into unconsciousness

It hurt. Not only was he fighting the dark energy, but now he was suffering the pain of purification within his body. He screamed a horribly loud scream as he fell onto the floor.

His marks dissapearing, and his sword remained quiet, for now at least...

As he slipped into unconsiousness, he said, "Thank you..."

She then lifted him to his bed and layed him down. "(Ai shiteru, Kitsune-san)" she whispered and gave him a light kiss. Before she could sid back down in the chair, Motoko sensed that someone was watching. She turned to look and saw XI's blue hedgehog, Sonic. She flashed him a warm smile and kneeled
