IGN says live updates, so I suppose the minute they get concrete info they'll post it, but nothing is updated yet.
>.> I can't wait either though!

"Iwata says Nintendo has built a bigger game population in three ways: Famicom Mini (shows commercials). GB Micro. Promises more shipments next week. Then he mentioned it was Mario's Birthday week. Miyamoto stands up. Number three, Iwata says, is Nintendo DS.
Iwata mentions "touch generation" games such as Nintendogs and Brain Trainer. "
>.> *googles Famicom Mimi* XD
EDIT: Shit, it's going too fast!

EDIT:
"Revolution controller looks like futuristic television remote.
Glossy white design.
Looks Apple iPod inspired.
Controller is held in one hand. Attachments in the other.
Attachments connect to the bottom of the controller. Iwata shows analog stick attachment.
Thinking about packing Revolution with the main controller and attachment, Iwata says.
Controller acts like a mouse in real-space 3D. Pefect for FPS games!
Future attachments planned. "

I'm intrigued. I want to see what they do with all this technology. Metroid Prime 3's going to be amazing, no doubt...what I'm worried about is Zelda.

At least that problem, anyways.

As for Zelda.... yeah, that's gonna be weird with that thing. Maybe they'll make it *gasp* a first person hack and slash like Thief.

I believe you mean, "Limón Amargo" does not approve....Lena does not approve.

I want to see a Star Wars game. This controller just screams "lightsaber" to me. Complete flexibility, and the ability to turn the lightsaber on/off via the A/B buttons at the top.
I've also got my fingers crossed for a next-gen Duck Hunt. But, that's about as likely as a next-gen Kid Icarus.

But this does sound great for lightsaber/sword based games, or for other games of that nature. It's just in a more broad category that I think this controller is going to be a little... awkward. Like with maybe third-person fighting games like Tekken (obviously not a Nintendo release, but you get my point).
Although a lightsaber game would pwn. *nod*

Anyway, hmm, while I am certainly wary of this, I'm not exactly negative - if used right, this could end up being excellent, though it certainly does the job of seperating the Revolution from the PS3 and 360. Probably the whole point.
Hmmm, still, I'd have to get my hands on it before I'll say anything - I can't begin to name the number of controllers I've thought would be hell to play with and ended up being proven wrong in the end, so hmmm....
At the very least, 1st Party Games will be optimized for the set-up and/or peripherals, so we shall see...

PISSED OFF.
I wonder how some games with buttons not on the Rev controller will be played...
Okay, okay, it's not that bas when you put things into perspective. But we need some angst, eh?
I included the image 'cuz a lot of people here hate IGN.

I'll add some more things tomorrow when I actually have time and don't have a class looming ahead in the morning.
I must say that I am very surprised myself, but I view that as a good thing.
FPS, RTS, point-and-click Adventure, Music and turn-based RPGs are all (sub)genres that will greatly benefit from this new controller even with traditional playing styles.
The only (sub)genre I see not going to transfer over well are traditional fighting games. That is one thing that will definitely require a developer to take a step forward as an example. If that happens it'll definitely be an amazing sight though, if it works well of course

Will there be people that won't accept this right off the bat? I'm guessing there will be people who do it without even considering the potential although some will likely have it grow on them whether it be after initial surprise or after they see actual demos first. Do I blame them? Not really, there will be some people that like to take a more conservative approach to things.
I'm going to go into things with much more detail later... for now sleep...
I'll just leave you with this stuff as a preview...
- Spider-Man- Controlling Venom.
- First Person Games- In general, although shooters will benefit the most. With FPS it'll be even better, and not to mention easier to learn, when aiming the gun.
- Point-and-click Adventure games- Even more immersive than before. Try playing Myst with this.
- Rygar, Bionic Commando, Castlevania, etc.- Freestyle rope-like weapon movement.
- Sword Fighting- Watch the video, self-explanatory.
- Sports games- Swing a bat or club, throw a football, guide the pass, drop the hook into the water, guide the pick...
- Direct interaction- Self-explanatory.
- Survival Horror- Flashlight... let's take survival horror to a new level.

Here's a pretty good article from Matt from IGN.
I'll leave with three more things:
Free aim and look.
Freestyle control.
Direct interaction.
