That and i want to see the new style of gibdo/redead cause you know there the most "loved" enemy ever. Thats what i thought the ghosts in the sewer were at first. I hope there badder and more powerful.

I must have now. I'm going to watch the trailer over and over and over and over and over and over and over until I buy the game. Even if the game sucks the trailers are freaking awesome.
But I seriously doubt the game will suck. I was rather pleased with MC, so hopefully this will be story-propelled as well. Geez....I need to let my breathing settle.

However, I'm not going to be too doom and gloomy. As much as this game may be like LOTR, the next Zelda will not. Think about it, apart from some of the gameboy games, every single Zelda had its own distinct style. They might each have the same story, characters, locations, items, etc. but each is almost as different as possible wile staying within those boundaries. Zelda has achieved the ultimate sequel success by having no two games be the same.

In the old trailer, Link was fighting what was clearly a Balrog
I may have said this before on this forum, but I'm so sick of people trying to draw parallels between Zelda and Lord of the Rings. When the LOTR movies first came out, people started saying, "If they make a Zelda movie, Orlando Bloom HAS to play Link. Legolas looks JUST LIKE Link!" Not true! Okay, there is some sort of fire monster in the first trailer. That doesn't mean it's a Balrog. It's been a while since I saw the movie, but I don't think they really look the same, apart from the black-and-fire look. When Link was running from the spider, I didn't think of Shelob. In fact, I actually thought of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets - the game of which I played a few months ago. It reminded me of fighting Aragog. When the HP movie came out, I didn't hear screams of "Aragog is just like Shelob!". Yes, Zelda and LoTR are both fantasy. So what. Just cuz LoTR is popular right now, many people seem to want Zelda to go in this direction. Well guess what? They are completely different series. And if Zelda did take a turn towards LoTR, I'd cry. Nintendo would be making a foolish decision, cuz all they could ever make is a crappy LoTR ripoff. No sir, please let's keep Zelda the unique, amazing, legendary series it is. If you want LoTR, go watch the movies again

Now, where are you guys getting the impression that animal transformation is going on? I saw no indication of this. If the theme has anything to do with controlling animals, I would expect it to be more like Wind Waker, in that you can "spiritually commune" to control them. It's possible there's transforming, of course, I just didn't see it.
Does anyone else think/hope that the boomerang throwing baboon might be an updated version of the Goriya? They were always more like rat creatures in the old days (LoZ and AoL), but given the way that the morphology of the enemies change quite drastically in other games (Toucan Wizrobe, Pig Moblin vs Bulldog Moblin, etc) it might be possible.
That was my first thought, too. Later I wondered if it's just a one time encounter with a helpful monkey, like Kiki in Link to the Past (if Kiki tried to kill you to death with a boomerang).
That moment with the "moss giant" is so Miyazaki to me. I'm so glad Legola--I mean Link... can ride the Warg--I mean boars! Excitement!

1: Everyone has ripped off lotr since it was just a book many many years ago (elves were not considered "elegant" and "pretty" till that book set us straight)
2: It's beautiful, judge it as its own medium!
3: Even if it is a complete ripoff of lotr, so what, lotr ruled, zelda rules, it's win-win...

The scene where Link is on a horse running towards a castle and being chased by those flying things, and the scene where he's running away from a spider both reminded me of LotR. Not in a "omg, it's a ripoff!" but in a "hey! cool!". They've maintained there Zeldaness on both occasions too.
Also, people should take these trailers with a grain of salt. Nintendo (as most other smart companies) has a habbit of showing only very small parts of the game in trailers, to keep the rest a surprise. To everyone whose saying "but it's too dark!" or "the wide open spaces are too bare!", remember that what you saw probably makes up less than 5% of the locations within the game. We haven't seen any villages, any large parts of dungeons, any castles/temples/characters. This trailer's more of a "Hey! We're making a new Zelda! Don't forget about it!"
Plus, this trailer has kitties. Kitties!

First off, she said it could be a 'boxing minigame' such as the one in the Oracles (finding Ricky's Boxing Gloves, right?). I pointed out the Goron looked a little more businesslike than that.
Then my friend said that maybe it was a 'test.' Like a 'prove yourself' sort of sequence, where Link has to take down x number of Gorons or something to get their respect. That seemed quite possible.
If I'm not too mistaken, Link wasn't fighting the Goron with his sword. Was he boxing, or just blocking? That part goes by a little too fast, and the Goron nails him in the first few seconds anyway.

Also, the Gorons always seem to want you to prove yourself to them in someway, so this could be something similar. The Gorons being evil would be cool though! They were always my favourite Hylian race.

EDIT: Maybe it was Gorons throwing stones at Link all along...

I've got several ideas as to what the story is, all of them probably wrong. One of my ideas is that this is the official game of the Imprisoning War.
Even if the wolf at the end means nothing, and was just added for dramatic effect, the idea of Link transforming into a wolf sounds awesome...

Lycanthropy alone, though, would rock.
