So I'm going to throw this out there: I don't like this divorced comment thread, at all.

Me going to Jake's thread, to come to this thread to talk about Jake's thread, which other people will ostensibly read in this thread before checking Jake's thread-- it seems like there are too many moving parts. So I just don't comment.

Like I get the utility of this if we're discussing things on a macro level, but me coming here to be like, "Hey good song choice in your thread just now, person," is weird. So then I don't. But I don't want to don't.

I get what you're saying, it does make it a bit awkward. But the thing is that most of us aren't going to listen to every song every person posts. However I think most of us will be checking this thread. So the discussion is visible which makes it so that someone can see it and go "hey, Dingbat likes the thing Jerko posted, and I know I have similar musical tastes to Dingbat so maybe I should go check it out". Also the massive number of embedded videos in each thread is hard enough to fumble through, having comments mixed in as well would make it mess. And then we would have people using quotes recklessly, making one video show up multiple times on the same page...

I feel like I would like having comments on my thread as long as they were all direct replies to one of my videos and not conversation between other posts.

I understand, but I feel this would lead to one or two topics become noticeably more popular due to comment replies. In the current system, all topics are equal when all you have to do to bump it up is post a video each day.

Is there any way to change how many comments are on a single page in an specific forum? Some of these longer threads are getting really hard to load because so many comments (and thus videos) are on each page.

Vet had 13 posts and 195 views, which translates to 15 views per post.
