Thanks Pogo, I was hoping some other people enjoyed the stuff I did. Actually haven't run into anything I flat out hate anywhere here thus far.

Thanks, Pogo.
I'm kind of regretting my thread name. XD I had a choice between finograph and gramofin and I went with the former? >=C
So change it! XD

Does putting the video in spoiler tags cause it not to load? Cos my thread's getting a little bogged down with load times.
#155

yeah, i think the spoiler tag keeps it from loading until you open the spoiler.

Thanks, Pogo. I feel like I'm making some really obvious choices, but they're some of my favorite tracks so I don't really give a fuck.
DJ's is the last one I've got to actually work through, and I'm digging the mix of hard rock and classical. I hadn't heard any of the new P.O.D. album either, so that was a pleasant surprise. I got a bit sick of them after Angels and Serpents didn't hold up to replay value as well as I had initially thought it would. I might need to pick up the new one, if only for nostalgia.
Next week is going to be Aussie week.
Also my thread title fucking sucks. Someone change it.

*grumble* Oh, fine.
Also, now that I've reached my second page I've decided to slightly alter how I'll handle the URLs I've been adding to the first post. Not sure how good this new system will look until I've got a few more tracks added to page two though. @__@

The descriptors modify "Steel," not any objective evaluation of the music.
I also just went through and changed all of my formatting and added spoilers and shit. Not that anyone really cares. But. My thread is pretty now.
Also thirded on the nordic shit Lena. Do you know where I could get mo'?

That's her website. I think her CDs have to be imported from Iceland/Denmark/Faroe Islands, but the tracks are available on iTunes. Otherwise a lot of her work is on youtube, which is where I found it.
It's also got English lyric translations under the discography section, if you want to make sense of the Scandi-babble.

Finally got off of my lazy ass today and put spoilers on all of my songs. Hopefully I can get back into updating regularly instead of stopping for a week or two... or a month. XD

Oh man, Steel, I was going to post that one at some point and have people be blown away. It's the most beautiful tune I think I've ever heard. Nice to see it in there. I can never skip past that one when it pops up on my iPod.

Hrmph. Was following suit with everyone and editing my thread with spoilers and putting a linked playlist in my first post, but as soon as I finished the post broke and wrecked all the HTML on it somehow. I'll fix it properly when I feel like it and have time, and considering it took me an hour today, that's probably never. At the very least, there's a list there now.
Silly, Non-Serious question - now that we've been at this for almost two months, anyone surprised/intrigued/disturbed by the musical tastes of the people you thought you knew yet?

Toan I just caught up on your thread. If you posted more tracks like that I would be happy. And relaxed.
Absolutely.
I should post more often, in general. But, thank you.

Lena's mellow music wasn't really something I expected.

I'm actually quite the calm, chilled out person after I've had my daily dosage of burning down villages and slaughtering my enemies!
Your list perpetually surprises and doesn't surprise me all the time, although Blondie and some of the other 80s stuff caught me off guard. Atomic's probably my favorite song of theirs!
And Catt never struck me as a soul kind of person, but I like it.
Otherwise I think most of us have turntabled enough to where we know general tastes, so the rest isn't overly surprising.

I've only been into soul for the last two and half years really... I was thinking of just having a thread for all my music tastes but decided to concentrate on my favourite genre. Maybe if this thing keeps going on I'll eventually start posting all kinds of music.
As far as surprises goes, I was surprised that pretty much every thread has had music I like in it, and quite a few consistently. Are we a music forum now?

Even my brony stuff?
Your brony's stuff is okay, but do you seriously prefer the original version of Discord to "The Living Tombstone Remix"...? Or even... Walt Ribeiro's epic orchestral arrangement?
#179
Posted 18 June 2013 - 11:20 PM
I do prefer it over the remix, but having just discovered the orchestral I don't want to pass judgement.
