Vet, your playlist couldn't be any more British unless you had a video of the Queen herself dancing to it in the background whilst sipping tea.

It might be a while before I move out of Britain or even the 70s. Glam rock 101.

I'm not overly into glam, but The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars is one of my absolute favorite albums ever made. Every. Single. Track. Pure genius.

Normally, I'm not one to hit the like button, but in this case I'll make an exception. +1.

Hmm, are we supposed to try and not have any overlap in songs (mostly later on after this has been around for awhile), or is it a case of if it happens, it happens?

You are hereby required to religiously check everyone's thread every time you want to post a song.

Maybe we should pin a thread just for the playlists (no youtube embeds) so you can check just one thread and do a Ctrl+F to see if a certain thing has been posted yet. One post per person should keep the thread 1-3 pages at most, edit as you add more songs, etc.

I'm not sure what there is to gain from forcing each post to be unique.

I don't think it's a problem, I was just bringing it up if by some freak occurence multiple people pick the same song on the same day, or to see if anyone really minded that much. Enough people's tastes here overlap that multiple people using the same song on different days will probably happen. Besides, just because I put Song X on my iPod at the gym doesn't mean the guy on the next treadmill over can't have the same song on his. If that's the case, I think the gym probably has bigger issues wrong with it.

I said "shame someone if they duplicate a song" to push them into looking at other people's threads rather than a flying visit to their own. But it's not a rule to always be unique.

I've been checking everyone's threads before posting so far, but I doubt I'll bother once it becomes too much hassle. By then the playlists should be big enough that a little overlap won't hurt anyway.

Is there a reason this forum is private? It'd be sort of nice to be able to link my playlist-in-progress to friends not from LA.
