It's not that bad, but it would make a good rematch for the events in 1974. XD That would be something to look forward too! However, even without Suarez Uruguay should not be underestimated! They made the same mistake against a seemingly easy Russia in Euro 2008.

I have been watching it too and sometimes chatting about it to a friend who's from Netherlands. We both have been surprised by Netherland's victory over Brazil and first thought they were just lucky, until they made it to the finals. I don't feel like supporting Spain but I'm going to support Holland for her sake. =P

Last night, my friend and I played a game of FIFA '10 on International League (hours before the match). He was Netherlands, I was Spain. I won.

Except my Spain beat them 3:0.

Crazy number of yellow cards. Did someone tell the Dutch players to take out their opposition no matter how or something? They almost got the full set... Bit hard for the goalie to get one, I suppose.

Yeah, my dad and I were joking about how the only player left on the field would the goalie.


To be honest, I'm surprised that the Netherlands only got 1 red card; considering the majority of their team got booked, I would have expected more.

Van Stekelenburg almost got booked by Webb for delaying a goal kick too long, so it's not that hard at all. XD

But apart from that Rova, I mean Spain, deserved to win the game! That karate kick deserved a direct red card rather than a yellow one, and seeing the number of fouls committed they weren't playing football at all. I guess the Dutch felt too intimidated by the quality of the Spanish football players, and relied on brute force rather than their skills on the field. Also Paul's predictions were 100% correct; what are the odds of that. o_O
