Unbelievable New Zealand managed to finish their group undefeated! XD

And you Aussies can at least revel in the dumping of Italy by Slovakia, after they cheated you out of a quarter final 4 years ago!

Well, that's good to hear. I got to watch the world cup in Japan while I was there and I have to say I enjoyed people getting riled up for their home team.

That was terrible England!

Though, to be fair, it could have all gone differently if either the referee weren't blind or Fifa weren't stupid.

Nah, I think we'll still have been spanked if the goal was given. We played terribly and deserved everything we got.

And any and all progress for making the world cup appeal to Americans is now GONE. Ghana has a hell of a team this time around.

Argentina destroyed Mexico pretty bad today, but I have to give them credit for that last goal. It was a good one by the Mexicans (can't remember who).

Uruguay ref sent home after giving England a good cornholing.

Blatter bends over for punishment after allowing England a good cornholing.

Italian referee sent home after cornholing Australia and then having some Mexico for dessert.

VICTOLY!

^ RETRIBUTION!

First post updated to show the quarter finals, as well as Calatia vs Koridai. Serendipitously, each dorm has 4 teams left.

Brazil didn't make it through! what an upset.

Not to mention another world cup robbery as Uruguay somehow beat Ghana after a completely intentional handball on the goal-line.

Big call I reckon. Germany will have to play pretty impressively to beat Argentina and THEN (a likely) Spain. Germany haven't had to play against that kind of attacking power yet.

I just have a feeling Argentina are gonna scrape through somehow.

Yeah it is a tough one but Germany are pretty okay with maintaining possession on their defensive line.

Absolutely not a robbery. Suarez is a hero! If you're stood on the line and know if they score you're out of the world cup, of course you stick your hand out and prevent the goal! What else are you supposed to do? Watch it fly past? Your entire country is depending on you!

He took one for the team. It wasn't his fault Ghana bottled it. They had every chance to dump Uruguay out.

Difference between this and some other examples:

Thierry Henry didn't admit it was a deliberate handball against the Irish. Suarez did.

Harry Kewell did it way too early in the match. Australia had plenty of time in the match to come back from conceding and would've had a better chance of that with 11 men on the pitch. If Suarez hadn't done it, the goal going in would've been the last action of the game.

I see your point. It wasn't a "robbery" per se, but intentionally breaking the rules (even if you're willing to cop the punishment) is terrible sportsmanship in any competitive environment, especially the world cup.

Today's games were equally mad. First we got the utter demolition of Argentina by Germany and then the penalty fiasco of Spain/Paraguay.

First post updated. Koridai is leading the goal charts by 7 goals. The final, whatever happens, is guarenteed to be Calatia vs Koridai! Random.org is a wonderful site.

So the semi finals are, tastily:

Synile vs Rova and Moriatti vs Toan.

A Holland Germany final however, would be awesome. They absolutely hate each other! XD

I concede completely to your theory Laz. Germany look unstoppable.

But yeah it does make Australia look a little better hey!
