When it gets way down in price, I might go for it.

Design flaw in the castle: you can leave anytime you want to save. C'mon. That takes the challenge out of it. If I wanted to make the walk I could go restock right now.

I don't have it yet, but I definitely plan to get it. I've played the SNES and PSX versions, so it will be interesting to see how it handles on the DS.
I played the PSX version back in the day, most die hard fans say it plays just about the same.
The big difference is the new dungeon that apparently lets you create some game-breaking ultimate armor and weapons for characters. But it's now like New Game+ isn't game-breaking enough as it is.
I've heard the local multiplayer stuff is crap, but I haven't yet tried it.

I Boogied a group of 5 enemies that auto counterattacked AoE spells. None of them were affected by it and my entire party was decimated.

It's immediately available after the Black Omen rises, and that is actually the target level for you to check it out.
To give it a grade, I would have to go with a D. It really is nothing more than timesink. You do a lot of fetch quests that go between Prehistory and Middle Age and fight a lot of enemies that break all of the game's rules (you're in an alternative dimension); reptiles are unfazed by Lightning attacks, and monsters with hammers aren't weakened by fire. Basically all strategy is taken out of monster encounters. You just power them dead. I don't think even one has an elemental weakness or immunity.
On top of that, there is SO MUCH BACKTRACKING up and down a particular mountain, during which there are NUMEROUS enemy encounters that piddling and easy but UNAVOIDABLE that you have to fight AT LEAST TEN TIMES.
The spoils? So far I've gotten filthy, unnecessarily rich and have a few neat items. Magus' Judgement Scythe has a chance of Stop (really good, I've found). A new helmet I have grants Auto-Haste, great for my healer. I should be getting two new beastly swords by the end of it as well.
The bosses I have yet to fight are apparently rather challenging, which should be fun.
Honestly? This dungeon feels more like artificial length than a new feature. It isn't "fun" like the rest of the game; it feels like an MMO, and I play enough of those already.
