Reviews and gameplay videos tell me that I'm probably right.
O rly? If you go on reviews, then why do you play Zelda? Allow me to introduce you to...
8.8

But it's... 8.8! It's only funny because Zeldafags pitch a fit about how a single site doesn't give their precious game the perfect score. "OMG HOW COULD THEY GIVE ZELDA ANYTHING LESS THAN A 12/10?!? ITS LIKE THE BEST. SERIES. EVAR!!!!" even though the only thing they're going by is a picture of Link standing in front of a lava pit.

8.8 sounds like a very good score to me... I mean, 5 is average.
Yeah, and 52% is a decent grade on a test because you got over half of it right. Then again, the possibility of new Zelda screenshots on GameFAQs was the very reason for Zeldafags to get up in the morning. They won't settle for anything other than a perfect score on their game. Because if the game they've been obsessing over the for past... year, I believe?... is only "average," then... well, you know what happened.

I hate it when people make a big deal out of someone else's big deal.
I love the irony, though.
What I love MORE is that I was talking about Red Steel, not Zelda.
And I don't care if people DO want to complain about Gamespot's score, they have reason to. Not because of fanboyness, but because their preview was praising all sorts of things that they bashed in their review. What better way to get attention than give the most anticipated game of the past few years a score lower than Wind Waker?
If you have to rant about how stupid people are because so many of them have made off comments that they don't like Gamespot's reviewing system, stop and think before you start making yourself look good by placing yourself before the 'stupid fanboys', because that's just immature.
Are you that person? No. And if you disagree with them, don't stab at them behind their backs by calling them retards on internet forums.

You just made fun of someone who made fun of others who make fun of fanboys crying over a game review. See where I'm going with this? If you can't see the humor in people going emo over a freaking 8.8, then I'd hate to be at your party. There's nothing immature about a little technique called parody, except for Professor Larrin jumping in and teaching us all a good lesson in internet ettiquite.

By the way, I make fun of people all the time at parties. It's different from just posting a general 'haha you guys suck' message on the internet. For one thing, no one can read the tone of your voice.
But you obviously don't care, so don't mind me.

Yes, I do care. And you guys suck? I don't go to the Zelda section, so I have no idea if they're the ones crying over 8.8. I suppose you thought I was mocking a person in particular, I am not. I went to Gamespot or whatever, saw the 8.8, then read the comments about "WHAT R U THINKING??? ITS ZELDA THE BEST GAME EVAR" and it was funny. I doubt anyone here is that maniacal, though. That's why it was so easy for me to say.

I expected Twilight Princess to get a higher score (at least 9.0). But its close enough for me.
However, one of the people who rated might not like Zelda games, mustn't forget to consider that. Although its not like a Zelda game not getting a 10/10 score will prevent die-hard Zelda fans from buying the game, anyway.
There's my two cents.

...
I do hope someone got that.
In any case it's a good game--that's all I need to know. I do not care if someone decided to knock a few decimals off of perfect or if some random dude with his own website gave it a D-minus. It's good.

5i out of 10? What? Well, as long as you don't divide anything by zero.I give it a square root of negetive 5 out of 10.

It's shaping up to be a great Zelda game, buy maybe not the GREATEST ZELDA OF ALL TIME that some fanboys were hoping it would be. Granted, I'm not that far into the game but we'll see all in good time.

I have got to be one of the oldest Zelda nerds around here, and so far, I'd say I agree with an 8 out of 10.

Every new console Zelda is "the greatest Zelda of all time." In fact, I think they're getting worse. The only thing that keeps Twilight Princess from being unbearable is the fact that Midna is smokin' hot. Mmm, Midna.

2.236i, but that's not important.5i out of 10? What?
What is though is the choice between the Wii Zelda and the GC Zelda. Since in Europe the two games come out a week apart, which one should I get? (both is not an option)

From what I have heard, the only difference between the GC and Wii versions, apart from the obvious control factor, is the mirroring of the game...
Some people think the new controls are the best thing since sliced bread; others aren't as happy (e.g. gamespot)
And, apparently Famitsu gave the following...
Zelda Twilight Princess (Nintendo): 9,10,9,10
For the interested, the GameCube version of Twilight Princess scored 10, 10, 9, 9 in this issue. All but one of the reviewers were different, so it's hard to say which version the magazine preferred. The reviewer comments seemed to suggest that the GCN version, while lacking some of the freshness of the Wii version, offers a feeling of precise control thanks to the standard control system.

I don't know about you, but I'm getting the GC version, because on Play.com, it's going for £29.99 instead of £39.99 plus the fact that I have very few games for the GC. It's Gamecube version hands down for me, though I have a feeling that Play.com's date of 08/12/2006 is inaccurate.

Oh, and: (√5)i
5/10 should mean average - not good, not bad. 10 should mean perfect, and should be unattainable. No game is perfect. 7 means very good, 8 is excellent, 9 and above is awesomely amazing.

Aw come on, the Wii version is the way to go! You get widescreen format, and the Wii version will also have downloadable content like extra dungeons and stuff once you've finished the game, something to take into consideration.
I'm not getting a Wii. I'm not getting any new generation console.

If the Wii version is inverted then won't every other TLoZ game on the Wii have to be inverted too for consistency?
