From the scenes that had gone on before him, Tony could tell taht this was going to be an interesting year. He wondered who was taking the class, and if they were human, or what gift they had. It'd be cool if the teachers were also freaks, or therabouts.

Well, it looked like most people were in the class, albeit, a small one, except the teacher. He wondered who could teach a line of english. *couch* Insert DJ here*cough*

'Thank gawd she left..' Milo thought to himself as he saw the girl sprint after falling into that fish boy he had seen earlier in the Bakery. "Possibly the most tolerable person I have yet to meet." Milo thought as he gazed over at the carefree fish boy snoozing on his desk.

"Teacher is late now." Milo thought as he gazed up at the clock that read 5 minutes after. He shook his head remembering the little unwritten rule of how if a professor doesnt show after 15 minutes after the starting time then they all were free to go. "Please dont show.." Milo thought to himself wanting to leave.

Milo once again opened up his notebook and started scrawling out a drawing completely ignoring the students who were still entering. He didnt care to talk to them now or never, the only way he could possibly be forced to socialize is if he had to be paired up with them in some gawd awful project.

OOC: Goose...I do believe DJ had stated in his post earlier that his character was a History teacher not an English teacher >.>

After waiting awhile, Daniel figured he would never get an answer and so decided to go back to his seat. He continued typing on his computer, prepping some files for usage in notes. He checked the clock.

"Class should have started five minutes ago, yet the professor is not here." the flyer muttered.

Daniel looked around to see some of the other kids in the small class taking advantage of the unexpected free-time. He took a short look at Milo who anxiously scrawled something in his notebook.

"What could take so long?" Daniel asked himself.

ooc: *cough* Was distracted/busy/etc. for a while. Apologies. And yeah, sorry Goose. DJ's teaching a different class. A veeery small one, apparently. ;)

Danae turned her head around after hearing someone speak, but they'd either wandered off or she'd been hearing things. She turned back to what she was doing before, not really caring. If it was an emergency, they'd throw something at her or something. She looked back to the door, where that loud redhead had exited moments before. That had been a rather... peculiar character. Annoying to the ears and perhaps to the eyes as well.

"What a strange douche that was," Danae grumbled. Then realized the person next to her was still unconsious. She ran her hand roughly down his face, smushing his nose. For good measure, she smacked him around a bit. "Wake up, you smelly pile of trout!"

Fed up at his lack of movement, Danae stared at the clock for a while, tapping her fingers against her desk in boredom. Nothing to do, nothing to do. If she knew nothing was happening, she would have gone back to her dorm to play video games for a while.

She then flipped back, laying her neck down on the desk behind her. Her head hung down enough to where she could see all the people behind her - albeit upside down. It was too quiet.

"....So we came to class on the right day, right?"

"Hmph. Whose bright idea was it to stick a History Class in the Science building anyway?"

Helena darkly thinks to herself as she makes her way across the brightly lit campus, her stylish glasses temporarily replaced by equally stylish - yet not annoyingly so - shades. After a rough first day for all three of her classes, she had managed to force some measure of respect from all of them, whether by wit or force. Granted, only one left any sort of physical mark on a poor unsuspecting victim, but in the end, now all seemed like they would at least fake being earnest in their work in her class. Still, even with the bizzare class placement, she had more then enough time to get across. Helena, cooly, can't help but notice that some of the random students scattered about the campus grounds seem to glance at her in various levels of interest or dislike. She had been warned that some of the "gifted" had some kind of repulsion against the supposed "normals," as well as vice versa, but generally the administrator seemed to try to avoid the subject. It wasn't her place to pry, of course, seeing as how she's at this point merely a visiting lecturer, but still, itwas a somewhat disturbing thought to be had.

Granted, she had seen more then her fair share of what occured whenever hatred spiraled out o control, but....whatever. That was a different life, she reminds herself.

Walking serenely, she glances to her right, as she walks on the bright sidewalk past one of the many other buildings on campus. With a quick blink, she notices a classroom filled with rather bored students, some impatient, and some just...sleeping. Hm. Obviously, whomever had this class was more then a little late, she thinks to herself.

"Well, it's not like I can do much about it." At that, she continues to walk in the sunlight, towards her next class.

OOC: Time to get this story moving along. ;)

*****

Toan felt himself pushed and mashed. He opened his eyes and looked at Danae.

"....So we came to class on the right day, right?"

Toan picked his head up to get a better view at Danae. Pretty girl, he thought in his half-awake stupor. "I dunno…" is all Toan could respond with, though.

At that precise moment, a loud SLAM went off behind Toan, and he jumped in his seat and jerked his head around to the front of the room so fast he felt his neck pop. He rubbed it and cast a glance about, spotting a short, portly old fellow with white wild hair, and a thick white mustache to boot.

"Well! Now that I have all of your attention, allow me to introduce myself! I'm Dr. Clark, and I'll be teaching every one of you English this term! Sorry I'm late, my car broke down on the freeway here – third time this month!" He laughed a bit.

Toan stared intently at this genial professor – he reminded him of that one fellow… E=mc² or whatever… except visibly more round. Trying as hard as he could, Toan focused his short attention span on the man as he continued, beginning with the very basics of the English language.

Two hours later, the various students, chatting here and there, exited the lecture hall. Toan remained in his seat and glanced at Danae, not really knowing what to do now that class was out, so he followed her lead. He did feel that, after all, he was closer to her than anyone else here he'd met so far.

"…Well… now what?" Toan politely inquired.

Daniel had felt impatient while waiting for the teacher, but was satisfied that everything was covered before class ended. He looked at his laptop in its carrying case. He remembered spotting a sign indicating wireless internet at the Four Winds Café.

“Why not…” Daniel muttered to himself

As he walked along, Daniel rubbed his back, which was still cramped and sore. He reminded himself again to work more on exercising his wings while he was at the university. Daniel came upon the café, payed for a cup of decaf-coffee, and sat down at a table. He paid for the service, and checked his e-mail. His eyes popped when he saw one particular address amidst the spam.

“Dear Kamikaze,

How are you? How has your Advanced Education been today? Dr. Eliminsten has told me that by the time you check this, you will at least be almost done with your sessions today. Have you made any friends yet? Do not forget your promise.

I’m still being marveled as being the oldest Natural Wing, though I wish they would stop being so analytical of my mortality. I have also made a new friend—he is a amphibian flyer who’s code is Exocoetidae. A very interesting fellow. He has tried to beat several times at chess, but still can not match to my level. I told a little about you, and was very interested since he never heard about any of the nanotech flyers.

I hope you do well. I hope we see each other sometime

~ Athena

P.S. White at point 10-13.”

Daniel held one of his rare smiles. He enjoyed hearing from Athena more that anything else in the world. Even more, he enjoyed being called by what he felt was his true, proper name. Looking at part of the message again, he resolved even more to make some friends, if just for Athena’s sake.

Tony was sitting under a tree reading a book. Class had finished not long ago, and instead of goig to get some refreshments, Tony deicded he'd get ahead of his classmates with their textbook. But, after browsing that one for 2 mins, nearlly falling asleep, he closed and opened one of his fantasy novels. Now that was fun to read.

It was nice like this, that even though the campus was quite chaotic at times, you could still find time to read a book. They had quite a nice library on campus, and Tony had made that his home earlier in the week. Soooo much to read, it was beautiful.

He wondered where the others were, his friends were quite interesting.

Milo hated his english class now even more then he did originally. First he had to deal with all those people he had met earlier in the bakery actually IN his class but also the teacher was a complete idiot. He exited the class room his back held tight against his side. He looked both ways just in case that stupid girl would decide to follow him around again. He rubbed his forehead from the intense migrain that seemed to be focusing in on him. He then reached into his pocket to take out a crumbled up peice of paper that just happened to be his schedule.

"History." He muttered to himself as he glanced at what his next class was going to be. "Perfect, two god awful classes in a row." He said shaking his head.

"At least I have 30 minutes inbetween classes." He thought brightly to himself as he spotted a pop machine down the corridor. He dug in his other pocket for $1 and walked down to the pop machine. He pressed the button for Coke and leaned up against the machine taking a long sip.

"Hmm..." He thought to himself and stepped away from the machine. He then placed his hand quickly on it sending a quick zap of lightning into the machine. The machine quickly flashed for a second and then dimmed out completely.

Milo chuckled to himself wondering how long it would take for the maintence man to walk by and see the machine had been shorted. He hummed to himself placing one hand inside his pocket and the other clutching his coke as he exited the building and headed towards a bench nearby the Science building where he happened to have his history class. He sat down again and took out a Sci-Fi book and started to read.

"Hmm...Interesting. You didn't quite strike me as a nerd of any sort and yet here you are reading a sci-fi novel."

The slight British lilt conjoined with a mezzo-soprano register would have been enough to identify this smart@$$. But just in case, the flaming red and gold striped hair was noticeable enough that her long wavy locks might as well have been on fire. Something Milo probably would have liked to see right then, most likely.

"Is it for a class or shall I blackmail you?" Annika questioned in a sing song voice laced with mischief. She leaned over his shoulder to read the text for herself. "You know, I don't know if I've heard of this one. Care to enlighten me?"

Quickly, she moved behind the bench and hopped over to sit on her haunches on the bench, leaving the extra weight her backpack proved to be behind. Expecting a curt reply from the other redhead, she flashed a wide grin.

"I promise not to tell anyone you're a sci-fi geek if you tell me what it's about..." she left the sentence lingering a little as she righted herself to a slightly more acceptable sitting position, merely sliding her legs to sit criss cross on the bench.

Milo gazed over in time to catch that his hopeful 'alone time' was now being interrupted by that smart ass girl that gave him the midol. He closed the book suddenly placing a bookmark where he had just left off.

"What does it matter to you what I read?" He said looking at her squinting a bit from the sunlight in his eyes.

"Would it have been 'normal' for me to read some depressing shit about drug lords and little babies being raped?" Milo suggested to her.

"I like to read, I dont just read sci-fi if that matters to you." He said stuffing the book in his bag knowing now his somewhat cool mood was now going to be ruined.

"But that book was just about a group of smugglers who happened to pick up some extra luggage to state it simply that places a nice wanted add in their book." He stated simply.

"What you thinK I was one of those stupid ass Star Trek fans? Or even worse Star Wars fans?" He said probably surprising her that he was actually aware of what the loser nerd was.

"On another note, you have a slight british accent you live somewhere in England? I used to live in Bristol up until I was 7 then we moved to York for a short time." He shrugged thinking he would actually share a slight bit of his history to the girl.

Annika's grin quickly melted into a bemused smirk.

"Touchy, aren't we?" she quipped. "Methinks thou protesteth too much."

"However, I'll let it slide. Contrary to what you may believe, I do enjoy a variety of literature. Most genres included, with the notable exception of bodice rippers. And, if you were reading something like you suggested I would think a good trip to the psychology department would be in order. On another note, I also enjoy a good tease. "

The young lady seemed to be unphased by the sour mood Milo was projecting. In fact, in almost seemed like she reveled in it.

"My father's from England. I picked up the accent from him. Me-on the other hand-I belong everywhere and nowhere," she offered cryptically before explaining. "Military brat."

There are far too many people who have become renowned in the past for their stubbornness in the face of adversity, a trait that has both allowed them to rise above great obstacles, and also forced them to face defeat because of their refusal to accept their losses and quit while they still could. Stubbornness has at times been called bravery, and at other times it has been referred to as stupidity. For Fiona Del Mar it was more likely than not the latter term that could be used to describe her own stubborn behaviour.

“If there’s one thing that I’ve learned in life,” the girl whispered to herself as she strode quickly down one of the many tree-lined walkways between buildings on the university campus, “It’s that people like us always need someone to stick by them to let them know that hey- we may be different, but we’re still people too! And I’ve found just the right person who needs reminding about how to be happy and enjoy life!”

She smiled in determination, ignoring others enduring normal school life around her. For one, she turned to begin walking in the grass where several feet of ground, including the cement pathway, had been blown away into a fresh crater. A couple blocks away the sound of explosions was repeating every few seconds, a fresh wind of black ash blowing in the wind. Some first-year students were looking in that direct warily, but the older students and teachers knew that this was a way of life for anyone who belonged to LAVille Uni. Just a few kids who were no doubt tense over new classes. They’d be sure to endure some harsh civic duty penalties like picking up trash for a month for their ill conduct.

Finally the vermillion-haired girl went up a set of marble steps and past several Greek statues in athletic positions, the cold stone epitomes of what the Earth House stood for. To the side of the Boulder dormitories stood a large, mossy rock maybe a story and a half tall that had been placed there through the efforts of some of the supernaturally athletic members of this house some years ago. Fiona offered timid smiles to several such young men in the front hall of the building as they passed on their way to practice some sport outside, then she looked around to make sure that nobody was watching as she undid the top button to her shirt and tried to pull the material down a bit more. Then the girl meandered her way to a window on one side of the hall, where an upperclassman was reading Sports Illustrated on the job.

“Hello there,” Fiona gave the man a grin, leaning her arms on the counter in front of the window. “My name is Fiona Harrison, and I was wondering whether you could tell me where my little brother Milo’s dorm room is? I know that normally these things are kept pretty private, but he’s been a brat and the kid thinks that I’m going to get into his things if I know where he’s staying. The problem is that two of our suitcases look a lot alike, and apparently they got switched when we were driving down here from home. What with figuring out where all my classes were, I didn’t even realize that anything was wrong until I discovered that most of my…personal attire had gone missing, and since then I’ve been all over the place trying to find the kid so that I don’t have to switch between the two sets of panties I happened to still have with me.”

The man silently stared at Fiona as she gave her rather incredulous explanation, not entirely sure what to think of it. But she seemed like a nice enough girl…he supposed. “Lesse,” he said hesitantly, spending half a minute on a laptop that was far enough below the window as to be unseen by the redheaded female. “B Wing, second floor, room 15. Do you think you’ll want some help finding your way?”

Even as the man brought his head up, the perky but particularly strange girl was already nearly out of sight. “No, that’s fine, I know my way!” Fiona shouted, waving behind her as she rushed up the stairs.

Milo nodded intriged that he actually shared a similar history of not really having a home with somebody. He glanced up at her wondering what got in him to actually somewhat want to talk to somebody.

"Aye, I know what you mean. I think the longest I did live somewhere was when I was 7." He said smirking.

"Some people think that is why I am such a..as they put it..stubborn willed wanker." He chuckled at the description.

"Nonsense if you ask me, there is nothing wrong with hating the human race." He said winking.

"After all, it isnt my fault that half of the population- well 98% of the population at LA U here lacks a brain cell or two." He said glancing at his watch at the time.

"Well I guess at least you have a legit excuse for the moving you were forced through. I dont even remember why my parents insisted on it so much, I guess it was because I was as it was put lightly..a mutant." He said looking down at his pale hands.

"Death to the humans, huh? Guess you wouldn't like me then. The only thing off about me is my hair. Guess that numbers me as one of the enemy, doesn't it?" Annika retorted slyly.

"You're quite silly, you know," she continued. "Saying you hate everyone and here you are having a decently civilized conversation with someone you should certainly have it out for. Are you sure you just don't want a friend?" This would have been something friendly and sweet...if her tone of voice wasn't that of the obnoxious and teasing persuassion, well practiced over her career of annoying little sister.

He glanced at her and placed his hand over his mouth and shook his head. "Or maybe it is just that I am in a decently mild mood right now." He stated simply in retaliation to her comment.

"Although that damn girl who called herself my girlfriend would think differently, all you need is love right?" He shook his head again and stood up suddenly throwing on a brown suede jacket.

"What a pile of rubbish if you ask me." He said and saluted Annika

"Later, and I just hate everyone, I dont want to kill them." He said smirking. "Yet at least."

Rek walked out of the classroom. He blinked his eyes heavily. That class had nearly put him to sleep. As he walked down the hallway, other people ran out of the classrooms and some into them. As he got to the entrance, he remembered his journey to the building. When he had leapt up the enourmous flight of steps entering into the building, he did not even have to touch any of them. Quizically looking at the steps as he walked down them, the light outside finally got to him. It was exceptionally bright. He reached into his pocket and pulled out his black sunglasses with the red lenses.

Everything seemed to be cast in shadow as he put them on. He grinned, galloping down the rest of the steps as he made his way into the campus grounds. Reaching into his pocket, he pulled out his schedule.

After glancing at it, he smiled, realizing he was done with classes for today. He journeyed into the liight-flooded walkways. He walked down them, now thinking more in depth about what happened at the stairs before class. Up ahead, he noticed one of the people he had met earlier this morning from the cafeteria. He approached him, seeing the thick novel tony was reading.

"Enjoying your book?" Rek asked, as he began to sit down beside him underneath the tree.

Danae had more or less zoned out during English, as she had expected. As it was still early, there wasn't much else to do but get acquainted with the instructor and learn what they would be accomplishing later in the term. Twelve thousand word essays! Bah! That was only for the wordy people who were incapable of getting their point across. Ah well, no matter. She'd manage it somehow, even if it meant writing one sentence over and over again until the word limit was reached.

As she picked up her things, and after staring at the drawing of a dragon she'd made on the desk absent-mindedly, she realized that that fish boy was staring at her. She sighed. Great. Someone wanted to be her friend. What a horrible day this was turning out to be. Her other class wasn't for at least another hour and a half, and she would have much rather gone back to her dorm to watch a movie or tv for that amount time.

"What now?" Danae asked, her voice somewhat gruff. "What I'm going to do now is grab something to eat from a vending machine and head back to the dorm areas to hang out for a while."

She took a look around to see that the others had dispersed already. That loud redheaded boy - what was his name again? Milton? - had wandered out of the class particularly fast. The other redhead (what was it with that hair color?) had long since disappeared. Most of the other students were packing up their things and heading out.

She waved to the fish man. "See ya around."

After that, she left the classroom and headed towards a vending machine that offered a variety of soda based beverages. She put a dollar in the machine and selected a citrus flavored one, but frowned when nothing dropped. In fact, the machine seemed to be dead all together! What the hell. She kicked it roughly and attempted to get her money back, but nothing worked. Damn teenaged punks.

And when she got outside, the place looked like a war zone. Those Sparkies and Boulders were tearing up the place with their magical abilities. People were flying about like birds on thermals. Danae shook her head. What was this, a military academy? And people called HER uncivilized. With that, she started to trot off towards the dormitories.

Daniel had since finished using the internet, seeing that he had nothing constructive to do. He walked out the cafe, laptop tucked under his arm. He rubbed his back back again, the cramps having disapated over time. However, he decided it would be best to wait until tommarow to use his wings again.

Daniel thought awhile as he wandered off, and thus didn't watch where he was going. He accidentally bumped into one of the people from before, Danae.

"Sorry," he said quickly with short nod/bow.

Milo walked into the Science building not even saying a polite 'good bye' to Annika. He knew the girl was perfectly capable of seeing the end of the conversation. He sighed heavily glad that at least he didnt have another class after this for another two hours.

The class of course was a bore, the teacher seemed to be just a little to fired up over the history of the country. Milo was just thankful that at least nobody from his English class was in there except for one girl who he wasnt familiar with.

He left the class an hour later and headed towards his dorm. "I am going to relax, read another chapter of this book, and maybe play a video game. If I remember right my roommate has classes tell 4 so I am free from the annoyance of his precense." Milo thought harmousely as he walked into the Boulders dormitory building.

"Heey your Milo right? Your sister is upstairs waiting for you." A man mentioned to Milo as he walked by without even giving the man any recognition of his attention.

Milo had only really truely heard the end of the sentence..'Sister waiting for you.' He stopped suddenly and repeated it to himself a couple times digesting every word of it.

"Why the heck would my sister come here" Milo wondered to himself. He hadn't seen then girl for several years, infact from he remembered she was all the way in Japan studying to be a English teacher. Suddenly he doubled back to the desk and placed his palms firmly on the stone desk.

"Are you sure it was my sister?" He asked the guy keeping his eyes firmly on the mans to keep him hopefully honest.

"y-y-es. A young lady came in here just an hour and a half max and stated that she was your sister and that something about your luggage. I dont really remember the whole conversation." The man said looking at Milo from over his glasses.

"Are you sure? My sister is all the way in Japan, She will be IN Japan for the next 3 years and possibly more, I dont see why she would be bringing me luggage." Milo said slamming his palms on the desk to make his point.

"Well she said she was your sister, that is all I can say." The man said turning his head back towards the computer to show Milo he was done with this conversation.

"Descibe her." Milo said simply folding his hands over his chest.

"Well..she had red hair, just like you. Green eyes or maybe blue I dont really remember and she was pretty short." The man said. "But I could be wrong, I didnt really give her much attention."

Milo scrunched his eye brows. "Well she could have dyed her hair I guess, but she naturally is a brunette." He mumbled to himself thinking it was best just to see for himself. He trudged up the stairway quickly so as to see this strange girl.

"What now? What I'm going to do now is grab something to eat from a vending machine and head back to the dorm areas to hang out for a while. See ya around."

Toan frowned for a split second; he'd liked the company so far. Regardless, he smilied and said "Bye then!" and waved enthusiastically towards the departing Danae.

Now what? Toan lazily looked around the classroom and yawned, his yawn echoing off the walls. The room was quite empty, even the quirky professor had left. Quietly, Toan stood up and left the building. Once outside the Zora shielded his eyes against the bright sunlight. What to do, what to do...

Just then, the wind blew a small gust and Toan caught a whiff of something. This was a strong scent - way too strong. Not just strong though, practically deadly; it could have rendered a skunk unconscious in less than a heartbeat. Small insects in the vicinity didn't suffer, the air being robbed from their respiratory systems faster than a high speed car accident. God himself, if being a more talkative fellow, might've possibly declared the stench an unholy act against The Almighty.

Toan sneezed.

Taking good measure, he checked himself. Sniff sniff. Toan's legs gave out and he crashed down a small stoop of stairs, landing in a painful heap at the bottom of the unforgiving concrete. That explains that. x_x Time to shower. Toan nodded to himself; a week straight was pushing it, especially as a Zora. He composed himself (how many times would he fall today?) and trekked back toward his dormitory.

Warm water flowed graciously out of the shower head in the communal bathroom on the 4th floor of the Wave dormitory. Toan slipped in under the stream and sighed. Multiple body wash products at the ready, he began to scrub the accumulated stench and germs off of his scales. The Zora hummed softly to himself as he worked away, creating a shiny, stunning glow on himself.

Half an hour passed before anything significant happened. That's when Toan heard a shuffling. He whipped around and glanced; he was certain the place was empty when he walked in, and sneak attacks weren't high on his "List of Fun Stuff". He continued... and finished. Toan turned off the faucet and gathered his stuff.

"Hey Toan."

Toan, startled, turned to look at the source of the voice, but before he even caught a passing glance, he slipped and hit the floor.

Groggily, regaining consciousness, Toan spurs for the umpteenth time. His first sight was pink. Just... pink. Features swam into view as Toan's eyes readjusted.... a towel. A pink towel. Towels typically don't float, Toan thought. Oh wait, a face. It was Katie, his mother.

"You okay there, honey?" She blushed as she said it. "Uhm... yep." Is all Toan could muster. She helped him to his feet and handed him his orange towel. They walked down the hall together, and she showed him to his room once more.

"Take care there, fishy!" She said, as she departed. Toan closed the door, threw some clothes on, and climbed to the top bunk for a quick nap.

One can never have too many naps, y'know.

On the other side of a dormitory room door made sturdily to withstand anything but the fiercest physical or magic attacks, one peculiar redheaded girl had been making herself perfectly at home in the half that wasn’t pasted with pinups of pro athletes or beautiful girls in swimsuits. Fiona had decided long ago that there were far too many jocks in this House, even if she had been filtered as a perfect Boulder candidate a year ago when she’d come to this paranormal university.

Having taken a half hour to snoop through one class notebook that had been tossed under the bed, some of its pages heavily laden with doodles, the trespassing mouse had finally settled into the corner of the badly made bed and pulled out a book large enough to be used as a weapon, preferably tossed by large catapult. She opened it to a couple hundred pages in and began an honest attempt at trying to concentrate on a passage written in a form of English so old that it might as well have been Swedish, for how well she could comprehend it.

She had every intension of being alert and ready for Milo to return so that she could properly apologize for her earlier behaviour in the English classroom and introduce herself formally. Fiona could easily see why he’d gotten so mad at her butting into his business beforehand, so she had no choice but to try her best to make things better!

With that in mind, it was no big surprise that between the monotonous sounds of football drills in the adjoining field, the equally droning reading that she needed done by the end of the week, and the filling breakfast she’d had a few hours before of a cinnamon roll and melon, the oversized book was soon dropped on the floor with a heavy thud, open to a random act of Othello that had been heavily marked with notes and underlining.

As for the girl, she was left curled up unceremoniously – but quite comfortably – on a temporarily stolen pillow, her ginger hair left in a curtain over her face to offer her more shade for sleeping. At least it made the drool going down her chin less visible. Yes, one could never have too many naps, but timing was everything. Or in Fiona’s case, timing was beyond her.

Danae had practically reached her destination when wham! Someone had gone and run into her, halting her progress. Always a firey individual, this was something Danae could not stand for. She regained her footing and spun around to face the clumsy culprit, who apparently was that nice, polite guy from earlier. She inwardly shivered. Nice guys. The bane of her entire existance. Her left hand balled up into a fist out of pure instinct, although she wasn't going to lash out at him right away. At least not with that.

"You'd think with so many people here with enhanced natural abilities that people would at least be able to see where they were going. I guess that little element of humanity hasn't been improved upon by the mutants in the world," she muttered.

She released the tension building up in her fist by reaching into her pocket and drawing out a pack of cigarettes. Putting one to her lips, she removed a zippo lighter with a skull painted on the front from the opposite pocket, and lit up. Taking a drag, she flipped the lighter's cover shut and replaced it. She blew the smoke up into the air, but somewhat in Daniel's direction.

"Watch where you're going from now on and I'll let it slide this time."

With that said, and with a fresh cig in her mouth, she started back on her not-so-merry little way.

"Yes I am, thanks for asking" tonhy replied in an offhand manor to the guy. He was enjoying his book, very much so,a nd didn't like to be interupted while reading. Well, at least it was by a nice guy this time, not like some of the other nutters on campus.

"So, what bring s you here under my tree?"

Milo finally reached his door and looked both ways, he didnt see his sister or any female in sight. "Maybe they were just playing some stupid practical joke on me." He mumbled to himself as he sighed with a relief. He opened the door.

"Damn roommate left the door unlocked again." He thought as he noticed that strangely enough the door was unlocked. Milo opened the door and without looking threw his heavy bag onto his bed and then spun around to notice some strange and to familiar red headed woman sitting on his bed and looking a little to comfortable.

"Oh god..I should have known it would be YOU. QUIT.STALKING.ME." He said and huffed towards the door and threw it back open.

"Now GET your sorry ass out!" He exclaimed as he pointed towards the door.

"I dont want you for a friend and I certaintly DONT want you for a sister. Personally I quite enjoy having a sister who is several continents away from me. It is quite a comfort actually." He said a little more calm and hoping the dumb girl gets the clue.

Daniel blinked a few times as Danae walked off, coughing a little from the smoke.

"Dangerous..." he calmly noted under his breath.

Daniel went on this time making sure to pay more attention, just in case he crossed anyone else with a hair-trigger for violence. As he walked back to his dorm, he caught sight of Tony and Rek under tree, recognizing them from english class and lunch. He continued on anyway, deciding he would rather hang in his dorm room. He narrowly dodged another person coming his way, making his way to the front doors.

When Daniel had finally situated himself back in his room, he sat at the side of bed. He looked across, the other bed still not occupied. He then looked to the left where his X-Box was. It had not been disturbed--not even the cellophane plastic wrap and price tag had been taken off. A game laid on top--also wrapped, by an extra controller. Daniel really had not seen any use in those items. He did not really care for videogames. He only brought it along at Dr. Eliminsten's urging anyway.

Daniel remembered seeing Tony with a book, and decided he might as well read a few of his own. He heaved a sigh and reached into his case, pulling out a thick volume with a bookmark about 1/10 into the book, "War and Peace" shining on the spine of the book in gold font.

As comfortably as Fiona had been sleeping on the foreign bed, having a well-stuffed book bag hurtle into her was about as good a wakeup call as any. Even as she was attempting to orient herself, the actual resident of this room was yelling at the drowsy redhead without her really understanding why. She hadn’t said anything just now in her sleep to offend Milo, had she?

“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to surprise you by being here, but it was the only place I could think of where I knew I’d eventually find you...” The woman offered up a happy smile as she swung her legs back over the side of the bed so that her feet were on the floor, fumbling around with unadjusted eyes until she found her forgotten textbook. “I never got to really explain who I was earlier without getting right into the middle of your business, and I thought that whenever you came back to your room, it’d mean you’d have some free time!”

Fiona quickly shoved her book back into her own thick bag then reached to wipe her forearm across her chin to pick up a trail of drool. “I know I must look so very rude, but it’s just that you stand out so easily, for all your obvious attempts to stay in the background.” She shrugged; her happy face was a strong indication that she didn’t seem to understand that she wasn’t welcome.

“You’re new here, and a lot of us are like that when we start out. We’re kinda used to bottling up our emotions because no one could understand what we’re going through, right? After all, even if our parents were once young, only very rarely did they also have any unusual powers. Even if we had a few friends growing up, even using our abilities once unchecked could make sure that everyone within miles was afraid of us. Sometimes they even might have called us freaks, or thought we were evil. As Gandhi put it, ‘Man's nature is not essentially evil. Brute nature has been know to yield to the influence of love.’ That’s what makes this school so great- we’re all equal, all trying to learn and also find our place in the world. Instead of being alone and feeling like we don’t fit in, we can be happy and make friendships that may never have been possible around people on the outside- not if we weren’t able to tell them the one secret that makes us different.”

It finally occurred to the girl to look down at herself and try to straighten out her clothes. Only then did she realize that she never had fixed the top button of her shirt that had been undone before talking to the man downstairs in her quest to find this room. “Ack! Bad Fi, Bad.” After a few seconds of being red-faced while fiddling with her clothing in an attempt to feel a bit more dignified, her green eyes were redirected once again to the obviously infuriated male student before her.”

“I can try to help you in any way that you like. I saw your notebooks...if you have trouble studying in class, then I can try to give you tips, especially for first year classes that I’ve already taken. I can show you important spots on the campus- like where the quietest places are to study, or which restaurants and burger joints nearby have the best deals.” Fiona put a finger to her lip, looking like she’d just thought of a serious of other important ideas. “Also, if you want to figure out a good way to take out your aggression, there’s a couple large gymnasiums that were built really close to our House. Exercise in itself is great for releasing tension, but nothing quite beats a structure specifically built for our kind of people to work both our muscles and our minds. Whatever your powers are, it can never hurt to work constantly at honing them. We...could be a training pair! And I bet you’d get teased a LOT less all over the campus if you weren’t always trudging around by yourself. They may be university students, but they can still act like wild animals searching to take down the weak loner.”

Milo placed his hands across his chest figuring he at least had to listen to what this crazy girl had to say. She really thought she had him figured out didnt she? Even though her comment about his past was certaintly true to and extent, he did lose all the friends he had when he powers were discovered when he was really young, he might have been upset for a while but he got over it. He chuckled and shook his head and gazed up at the girl.

"Yes lady, you are so right, I have been a bad boy, and your words just inspired me SO much to change my vile and evil ways and become a mindless drone like the rest of the school. I guess I never noticed how badly I was doing here." He said in and obviously fake voice and walked towards her as if to hug her.

"Please Fiona, show me YOUR way of life. Since it must be so much more colorful then my own sad existance." He said and held up his hands. He glanced at the girl to see if any way she was taking him seriously.

"Just give me one minute to sort through my books for my next class." He said and walked towards his brown bag and threw out a couple books and shoved in his last book. He seized his notebook through of doodles from where she left it and stuffed it in with the rest of his stuff. He finally gazed at her and smirked and headed back towards the door.

"Lady, I dont want your help and I DONT want your friendship." He said as he opened the door. "Maybe a few of the things you might have said about my growing up are true, but you know what what? Unlike you I guess ~I~ got over it and dont feel any sort of pain or even resentment to my old friends. It is part of LIFE I would recommend for your own sanity that you stop living in some dream world with pretty little unicorns and lollypops, because I think out of the two of us, I am a litttle more sane then you." He said chuckling at the good natured girl.

"We both might have powers here but you know what, you really are a freak." He swung his bag over his shoulder and headed out.

"And for another thing, I have seen plenty of other guys in this school who need your help more then me. This might be only my second day or so of this school, but I dont plan to change my whole way of life from words from a girl of the likes of you. Try that guy in my english class who was insulting me earlier he seems a little closer to insane then me. Slightly bipolar I think. He probably really could use a good pep talk from you on how to be a little less of a jackass to complete strangers he doesnt know." Milo said and trudged off.

"Just recognized you, and since I haven't met many people on campus, I thought i'd come over and say Hi." Rek said, feeling rather stupid. He had never had a friend his entire life, and felt dumb trying to make one.

Rek, laughing a bit, looked at him. "So, what are your gifts?" He asked Tony, direly want to let him know that he too had powers, but was terrified to exploitation, even though he was at a school for people like him.
