I think you got leadership confused with 'True Power' here. BUT then if you are taking what I said as a ‘political’ statement, then that’s what people define true power as. Now, from my perspective, true power is equivalent to that of God.

So which wicked men have godly powers?

Taking care of problems without stopping them at the source is not good enough. BUT there's a logical reason for all this...

Yes. That's why God will not to anything to Satan. God tried this with us in the great flood of the Old Testament and it didn't work, evil returned again and again. God now tries to win each of us over with love and compassion instead.

And so at the end of time, when all evil becomes non-existant, does that mean God will become evil because he has finally gotten rid of evil for good?

The Apocrypha...that's very interesting...though the Bible does have a dark side too, events more shocking than the one you just mentioned.

So which wicked men have godly powers?

Power corrupts people so I used power as an example Korhend. Why ask a question you already know the answer to? Besides you still didn't tell me what you define 'true power' as...

That's true, there are stories of Him killing a few men by just willing them to be dead when he was a youngen.

Looks like I'm about to eat my own words on the whole 'compassion' thing. This is what you could call the 'no-win scenario' I guess...

Well it's not a no-win scenario, it just seems that you're trying to place things into distinct black and white. There is just way too much gray. Destroying evil would not make one evil, because that would be implying that God would be evil, and remember, God was, and still is a "vengeful God". Now, about the power thing, Jesus was a human, and He was far from corrupt. Jesus was God, yes, but wouldn't a person with godly powers be God to some extent?

If I were to believe in God, I'd like to think of him as first and foremost a creator. Everyone spends way too much time being all sad and serious about God and not upsetting him and trying to please him to get into Heaven. I'm sure if he had wanted a lap-dog to lick his ass clean, he would've made one of those instead of the intelligent free-willed beings we turned out to be. People need to lighten up and be happy that God made the earth and put them here. Go life!

Edit: And by the way - God doesn't want you to be good just because it makes him happy. He wants you to be good because you know in your heart that it's the right thing to do. And I'm sure he can see the difference between the two as clear as black and white.

I'm still not sure, however God didn't create things with the intention to destroy them, he made our spirits indestructible anyway, so we're here to stay (that's why a 'third death' is impossible).

umm, yes he does actually, because God is good. ;)

Jesus was talking about the might of a man's spirit enduring odds that seem impossible if the man simply have faith in God, because God's power can do all things.

I agree. Though I'm not sure if one man can endure everything thrown at him, but then if God is on your side then nothing will be impossible for you.

Problem is, our sin always manages to stop us reaching God, so everything does become impossible for us.

When a parent tells their kid to tell some one that they're sorry, they usually do it - right? But they aren't actually sorry for what they did, are they? No, they are simply apologizing because they were told to. God can see into your heart and discern your actions from your intentions.

God didn't create us to be the masters of our own ultimate fate. We were created to be with God and happy with him because God cannot find rest in himself. He needs nothing from us but asks for our love, but we rejected God time and time again, and will be punished for it.
God is the Universe, God is fate, we were created to serve God and we cannot escape God's love...or wrath.
