The same rules do. Why people are dissing each other for their music tastes is understandable. That's human nature. I dunno why they're getting away with it though.

Why are they (we?) getting away with it? Double standards. It's bad to bash X-Box, but it's not bad to bash rap. It's bad to call something "gay" but it's not bad to call something "retarded." Rules, no matter where they lie, are always riddled with double standards and contradictions.

As I just said, I believe there was a rule about genre bashing that's been forgotten over time. We're human, after all, and occasionally miss a rule or two when we update the whole list or individual sections. Forgive us. As for the gay thing, it was more or less requested because some of the gay folk here didn't like it said in a negative manner. And rather necessary thanks to a few certain now banned members in the past. *sigh*

And as for people getting away with it, well, it's being pondered over by a mod or two on whether or not to close this thread all together.
