Well, Narutofan IS the best place to get info and...resources from the show/manga.as a matter of fact i started joining forumsafter i joined narutofan.
And you can feel free to watch an episode or two on Cartoon Network..but it isn't really worth it. Their pronunciation of names, jutsu, and whatever else sound terrible, the voice acting gave me a headache when I tried watching the first couple episodes, and they edited out most of the blood- even from nosebleeds.

Or the fact that S-Cry-Ed has the same rating as Naruto, yet airs at 1:00 am?

i totally agree.we need better voices. i ju heard somee...they suk...Do we question Cartoon Network anymore? I haven't tried to make sense of it, Nick, Disney, or any of the other channels known for their American kids shows since "Totally Spies" and "Shaolin Showdown" were put on the air. Though it couldn't have hurt Naruto any if they'd at least kept the blood and aired it later. Or...you know..found voice actors who are capable.
@bond extreme: u have no idea what ur missing out on.i thought itd be stupid at first but it turned out to be really enjoyable!! the fights are hot and the story is great

I know. I'm not too sure about the voices fitting the characters, as I've been reduced to using a computer that is completly incapable of playing illegaly downloaded episodes, but Naruto's voice is annoying, especially considering that we probably have to hear him every episode.
Anyway, was Naruto geared towards kids in Japan. Because I know that stuff for kids there and here seem to have large gap between what is acceptable (Just look at the Shaman King dub and the steps taken to avoid the words 'Die', 'kill', or 'dead').
Personally I think that Naruto's only on Toonami because it's a Shounen Jump Title, and almost all of them get reduced to a TV-Y7 rating (Yu-Gi-Oh, Shaman King, One Piece), blood, nudity, and plot be damned.
By the way, Naruto also airs at Noon on Saturdays also.

And I myself have just watched all of the fansubbed anime that's out, plus all the manga from where the story leaves off in the anime, finding my ways of getting both the new weekly manga and anime as it comes out.

Anyway, I'm currently reading in the middle of the second Zabuza(sp?) battle in the manga.

But really, I'd say it depends on the person- some older kids might not be able to handle the blood, but some can. I judge it on the same lines as InuYasha, and I probably wouldn't have fully understood and appreciated either of them myself if I had been younger than 13. Whatever the case, Naruto was NOT meant to be TV-Y7 like Cartoon Network is trying to make it, but we already knew that (although I'm hearing that the actual dubbed dvd sets won't have the blood cut out? Still has his icky voice, though).

Right now, the anime sucks...I haven't watched since like 143 and probably won't for a while, bunch of stupid filler stuff...
The manga is very interesting tho...
I noticed something a bit funny about CN, the picture the use for the Coming up Next Naruto (the 10:00 spot) it shows Kidoumaru from the Sound 5...which he really doesn't show up till the 100's, despite you see maybe 20 secs of him before that.

Yeah I know what your talking about but its Cartoon Network and in General America...They think its too *Mature* to have blood...We're not talking about the first couple episodes when refering to the "72 hours of stabbing in one second". That's something that comes up muuuch later. (I think that episode is in the 60's or 70's?)
However, you are right in that Iruka had some blood on his back where the shuriken hit him, and some on his leg from the kunai. It's just that all nosebleeds, flying blood, or spitting out of blood was editted out- and if even the ~nosebleeds~ from Naruto turning into a naked girl are taken out, then that hasta make us wonder how much else will be taken out.
