Zelda is more then just some obstacles, a climax, a resolution, and a story ripped from the game series. The essence of the Zelda series involves many things, and I think if you missed some of these, it would not resemble Zelda at all. This includes gameplay, the sense of exploration that the series exudes, and the feeling that you are a hero traveling through this mythical land.
All three of those things, the most important aspects of the series, could not be done in a movie, period. You could make a movie with a story related to Zelda, even bring in characters, music, and visual style... but in the end it would not be Zelda, at all. It'd be like one of those fanfics made by writers who have no clue what makes Zelda what it is, and just want to mess around with the characters and story.
It would resemble Zelda only on the most shallow of levels.
Do you truly not understand how silent heroes work? The point of them is that you're supposed to assume they do communicate with others, but because the developers do not give them specific lines, you're able to subconsciously build your own vision of their character. That would not be possible in a film, and there's no way they could create lines that matches more then few peoples' ideas of Link.
Yeah but all those things that are missed is what makes a game a game. In a Zelda game, you are playing out the story. In a movie, the story is being played out to you. If you try to make a Zelda movie match a Zelda game, then it won't work, because you can't add the interactivity into it. If that's wherer you're thinking it'll fail well then that wouldn't effect the storyline of the movie.
Everything you've said would make it not possible are elements exclusive to a game that are not included in any movie. At all. You are not the hero in any movie, only a game, or maybe a choose-your-own-adventure book which is a game in its own right. In the movie, you WATCH the hero and his story, you don't play it.

In a proper script format, 1 page = 1 minute.
I'd recommend leaving it to someone with a bit more experience if ever they were to pull it off.
Some things best left alone.

I'm not gonna follow it. All it is is a nifty idea in my head, nothing more.
A Zelda movie would only work if Nintendo made it. In fact, love them or hate them the only video game films that have been really true to the games and therefore fairly decent films to watch if you're a fan are the Pokemon movies.
A Zelda movie would also only work if it was animated.

Yes. Exactly. A movie is not a game. Therefore no movie, no matter how well done, could possibly have any of the qualities that define Zelda, and therefore a good Zelda movie is impossible.

The Pokemon films have all the elements that define the Pokemon series, and the fans love them.
If Nintendo made it with Miyamoto's and Aonuma's direct involvement, a good one could very well be possible.
Take a look at the cutscenes in Wind Waker. They're all highly cinematic, and the final sequence could be the finale of any film. The problem is you're defining the elements of Zelda based on gameplay, rather than atmosphere.
