The only reason that the MS is in OoX is as an allusion to OoT.
Ah, yes, of course.
And the only reason you play as Link is an allusion to The Legend of Zelda, and then there's the Triforce, that's an allusion to ALttP, along with Ganon, and Twinrova's an allusion to OoT, and Aquamentus and all those bosses are allusions to TLoZ, and...
...Seriously, you can't say 'it's an allusion' and pretend it doesn't exist. The games allude to themselves all the bloody time.

All of those things (excluding the recycled bosses) are important to the storyline of the games. In OoX, however, the MS is only there for fun, and possibly because it was intended as a sequel to OoT-MM storyline arc.And the only reason you play as Link is an allusion to The Legend of Zelda, and then there's the Triforce, that's an allusion to ALttP, along with Ganon, and Twinrova's an allusion to OoT, and Aquamentus and all those bosses are allusions to TLoZ, and...

God, you might as well just ignore the Oracle games completely by your logic.
The Oracle games were SO never intended to be sequels. Obviously they borrowed a few things from the previously released games BECAUSE THAT ALWAYS HAPPENS. But when it comes to storyline issues, no, never sequels.

So basically you're saying that they are pointless allusions, which you are so adamantly against recognising?Obviously they borrowed a few things from the previously released games BECAUSE THAT ALWAYS HAPPENS.

Finding all the pieces in a puzzle is the first step to solving it, is it not?
And another thing we've skipped, and I'm not sure how relevant this is, but what about the Stones, Pearls, Pendants, and whatever else you've got?

Okay, well, what's the story behind the M.S. in OoX?
Depending on how you play the games it can be found in different ways.
1. Having your Noble Sword sharpened by King Zora (Secret from Seasons to Ages).
2. Reward for an enemy defeating mini-game (Secret from Ages to Seasons). [I've not done this one myself, any more details would be appreciated]
3. Hidden in Holodrum's Lost Woods (trading sequence in Seasons).
4. A broken sword from an old Zora being repaired in a strange ritual (trading sequence in Ages).
5. Game transfer through Farore the Oracle of Secrets.

Am I the only who notices that the broken sword could have been found by the old Zora in the ocean? Or that it's broken because it snapped out of the petrified Ganondorf's forehead due to the pressure of the ocean?
This may explain Ganondorf's escape from the end of TWW.

In that case, the noble sword being sharpened by King Zora is the least likely of the events to happen.

That is the method if you start with Ages and then go to Seasons. In that case, the noble sword being sharpened by King Zora is the least likely of the events to happen.
I think all options are equally likely. The fans pick which option they like the best.
