Anyone else noticed that the repeated pattern running up the cloaked figure's back resembles a stack of hour glasses?

I find it strange when people talk about the Multiple Link thing as being something that only appeared when OoT came on the scene - when it was clearly there when aLttP came out and presented itself as being about the predecessors of the Link and Zelda from LoZ/AoL. And really, it's not an Multiple Link Theory... it's a fact, plain and simple.

Okay two things. Back then it wasn't that much of a fact. The evidence was more ambiguous back then. Also, you're preaching to the choir here.

Multiple Maruio Theory. You see, the Mario from Donkey Kong was Mario I. He and Pauline get sent to the end of DK94 (I think it was) You see them there... for some reason. They take up residency. Mario marries her and they give birth to Mario II and Luigi II (named after Mario's brother). These are the Mario's that we see today still saving Peach and stuff. The YI games are also the story of Mario II. So in effect there already was a Mario Jr. But I'm not him. I would be Prince Mario III, a yet to be child of Mario and Peach.

lol. MMT sounds cool. I know this is really OT but, how do Baby Mario and Mario exist together then?

I don't really advocate the MMT anymore but lets' see how I can explain this... If I remembered my theory correctly, Baby Mario was supposed to be the son of the Mario from the arcade games and Pauline. Baby Mario grows up in MK and eventually becomes the Mario we all know and love today... But it's this Mario that Baby is seen with in Mario Golf and so on... Could it possibly be... me?

Actually, back then it seemed far less ambiguous, since I don't really think anyone disregarded the back of the aLttP box like they have reason to these days - magazines would always talk about the aLttP Link being the ancestor of the LoZ Link. The main debate I remember from the time was whether or not aLttP came before LoZ/AoL or if aLttP was some kind of 'reimagining' of LoZ's basic story.

Also, my point about the Multiple Link being fact not theory was ment to be about the present, not back then - at this point in time, it is very obviously a Multiple Link Fact, given that tWW, tMC, FSA and even the classic series LoZ stress how the Links are different from each other.

EDIT: to clarify a bit more - my original point wasn't that it was a fact there were multiple Links when aLttP came out, which seems to be how you read it MJ. My post had two pints to it;

1: That the multiple Link theory existed as far back as aLttP, not just OoT as many people (not meaning anyone here) seem to act like.

2: That it is now a Multiple Link Fact, not theory, since there have been so many games which hinge on the idea of the Link being seperate to the other Links.

As for Mohammed Ali's question about Baby Mario and Mario exist at the same time... maybe Mario and Peach had a little to much to drink at one of the Mario Parties and, well, one thing lead to another... *insert porno music here*

Heh, heh. That must explain why I'm a little "out-there." But I think they seriously need to explain Baby Mario eventually. This "past-self" thing doesn't really cut it since he keeps coming back and he actually seems to be getting older. Mario and Peach had a lovechild. But since they're not married they're pretting he's some distant nephew... or something. That's my parents for yea!

This is SO off-topic, but I'll contribute, I guess. Anyone remember when games were simple, and all you had to do was time jumps? Ahh Mario was good back then, now it's soiled with the cursed Mario-Party games and such. Good thing there is no Zelda Party. That would be stupid. Chill, I was joking. Like I've said in the past, I honestly think (and hope) that Z05 is gonna be the Imprisoning War. I doubt it will have anything to do with Vaati's sealing, because frankly, thats best left for Capcom to dig their way out of.

I seriously hope so too...and Vaati? With Ganon? That's already been covered, and we know Ganon will be there. I think the 3D titles focus on Ganon alone, simply to please the not so timeline obsessed casual gamer
