But the Pope (and the rest of the church) says that it's wrong to choose death over life. Moses said it, and Jesus was all about the life thingie. So how can you go for the death penalty?

I'm going to say that its because they are not puppets, with a Papal Puppetmaster behind them. They are individual human beings, who determine their feelings on issues based on their experiences. If they were puppets, then yes, they would believe anything the pope said. Since they're not, and the Pope is just as human as them, they don't believe it as readily.

However, I wonder how people can stomach the idea of killing off other human beings...at all. Then again, they could turn on me and ask how I could stomach aborting a fetus/zygote, etc...and then we'd get into an abortion debate...and I don't want to touch that arguement here.

Yeah. They'd probably write you two out in the first season. Alak would overdose on ideas (somehow) and you would be smothered to death by teh bobbies.

As for me, the show would switch from reality to a sitcom, which would run for eleven seasons before it is unveiled as the best DVD collection ever.
