Considering that the local Best Buys here only got something like two Mega Mans apiece, I don't quite believe that part. Good to know about the others though.

And yeah, Link and Samus are my first experience with Figma and I'm thoroughly impressed. Mewtwo and Mario and my other Figuarts are still great, but compared to them two there's no competition.

I have a few amiibos, but I think being enough of a dorklord to already have a minis game that I play has curbed my urge to collect more.
I have spent way to much money on plastic space ships.

What I'm saying is, if there was a way for me to move these Amiibos around a board and roll dice with them, I'd probably own them all by now.

I think that's the plan for the Mario Party 10 ones.

In case anyone is aiming for Amiibos outside the Smash Bros. waves, Mario Party Amiibos to drop on 3/20. Not really going for these ones, though I'm interested to see how they sell or how the supply is.

I might grab some of the Mario Party ones, not so much for functionality, but for poses that don't include ugly little yellow bars attached to the characters.

I want to at least get Toad myself, but it seems like they're not at all in scale with the Smash ones. It's not that big of a deal, but it bothers me a little.

Does anyone actually use their amiibo?? I'm going to for the first time tonight, 'cause there is a bunch of people coming over to play Smash. Usually fill it up with hilarious AI characters like Wii Fit Trainer and Game&Watch, but I guess those last slots will now be amiibo.

I use all my amiibos, but due to falling back in love with FFXIV, not all are maxed.

Link, Zelda, Marth, and Captain Falcon are 50. Mario and Bowser are 18 and 21 respectively. Toon Link is in the mid twenties. Sheik is fresh, and thus, level 1.

let us know how the Mario Party Amiibos work, Spikey. I'm kind of curious how they work in the game.

I have an amiibo now! I got the new Super Mario series Peach amiibo. She's beautiful!! In Smash, her name is PiichiHime, she's level 35, and she's a Defender. My boyfriend got the Super Mario series Luigi. His pose is cute.

Super Mario series versions of characters already released work exactly the same as their Smash Bros version.

I think he meant what Amiiboes actually do in Mario Party.

Well, it makes for some kind of very disruptive gameplay for starters!! I cannot recommend it! Basically, you play Mario Party, but have to throw the dice by tapping your Amiibo on the pad. Oh and it gives some kind of theme to the board. 10 mins in, we decided we just played the regular thing, which was so much better.

Jigglypuff and Greninja were added to Wave 4, and the wave has a scheduled release date for May 29th. Also, apparently GameStop pre-orders open up at 3 PM EST.

I was at GameStop today, managed to find coverage for work. The system at the store was down for 40 minutes because the volume of orders overloaded the system. The people in line kept complaining about how it Nintendo's fault for the system crash, because that makes sense. I tried to hit someone. I get to the register, after Lucina, Robin, Ness and Wario. All in register, all about to print the receipt, Lucina and Robin vanish from my cart, sold out at the last second. Take home the order for ness and Wario.

Greninja is going to be a shit show, don't make me go back.

Sadly, I wasn't able to snag my Charizard reservation. T__T

Hopefully, he's one of the more popular ones, so I can just scoop him a bit later. Then it'll just be the long wait for Mewtwo and I'll be set.

Nergh, I thought I'd be good on Amiibo now, but those Yarn Yoshi's look too damn adorable to pass on. I also take back what I said about Sonic and Mega Man, we're flooded with those two guys around here.

I haven't opened most of my Amiibos. Given how the situation on availability isn't improving, I'm starting to think I should just sell off my unopened ones and wash my hands of it.

... except I still really want Ganondorf. Damn.

Ganondorf will most likely be common or uncommon seeing as how Toon Link and Shiek turned out.

A little late, but Splatoon has three amiibos coming out, each one giving unique equipment in the game in exchange for completing a specific challenge.

Frustratingly, the Inkling Boy and Inkling Girl can be sold separately, but the Inkling Squid is only available from the 3-pack. Fuck, I really want that badass predator-esque armor...

Less than 48 Hours to go before the Greninja pre-order stake out begins. I'm just glad I have Monday off to participate in this mess.

For anyone who doesn't know, Toys R Us is going to be offering a in store pre-order for Pac Man and Greninja this Monday (27th) for folks who missed out online. Consider this the last window to do this before relying on eBay.

Thanks so much for the heads up. Hopefully I can take advantage of it. I really want Pac-Man, and I made the mistake of waiting until an official release date was announced before deciding to pre-order.

Looks like I'm relying on eBay for Pac-Man then, because the closest Toys R Us is two towns over, and I'm not making that kind of trip twice just for a figurine. eBay would actually be cheaper at this point.

EDIT: Or not, since Walmart apparently had some Pac-Miibos still available for pre-order. Score!

...Now I just need to figure out how to get Jigglypuff and the Splatoon 3-Pack for any reasonable price. :deadlink:
