Yeah I missed the bit about what the hell the thing in the cabinet was. I also thought it funny when it stole all the close-ups of Clara and the Doctor when they were stood next to it! ;d

On the whole, solid start to the series.

Plus they were clearly trying to big up the singing ability of the Welsh during that episode.

I enjoyed both episodes quite a bit, though it seems the latest one is somewhat polarizing among fans.

Thoughts on the villain:

HOLY SHIT. HOLY SHIT.

Cold War was fantastic. Mark Gaitiss episode was top notch, return of the Ice Warriors was great, it was Hunt for Red October meets Alien.

British Whovians, was this most recent episode based on a "real" haunting? D:

No idea, probably not.

The monster was pretty damn awesome. Creaky quadruped? Hell yes.

I think that was the ugliest thing I can recall seeing in Doctor Who. Not counting Jimmy Savile's appearance in a non-canon Sixth Doctor skit, of course.

I figured it was a basic Doctor Who gimmick. It works because it works. Just nod your head and smile.

That's pretty much how you should look at every episode, lol. It is a great show though.

It makes you wonder why they held onto Amy and Rory for as long as they did when they had a gold mine of adventures just waiting to be written. Not that I hated the Ponds mind you, I just think they stuck around just a little too long.

Okay, so I'm starting to watch Doctor Who. I started with Season 1, the one that aired in 2005.
I'm just super confused on what the heck this "Bad Wolf" thing is. I'm on episode seven at the moment.
Is this something I'll learn about later, or am I missing something?

Yes. You'll learn later. During the Eccleston and Tennant years, the guy heading the show hid a theme in each season. The theme of the first season is "Bad Wolf".

I distinctly watching a few episodes of Doctor Who when I was young. There was one featuring a monster made out of Liquorice All-sorts, another set in some weird kind of circus with some sort of blackhole inside it and a war between white and black Daleks. Can't remember which era that was.

I remember a couple of McCoy episodes, not much, but enough to know about the show when the McGann christmas special aired.

Anyway, this latest Cyberman episode? AWESOME. I think I might be setting myself up for disappointment but all the signs are pointing towards the anniversary being everything I hoped it would be - namely...

TIME WAR :ahh:

AND I THOUGHT THE 9TH DOCTOR WOULD GET MORE TIME. I LIKED HIM.
MUST. KEEP. WATCHING.

WHAT HAPPENED TO CAPTAIN JACK?
I LIKED CAPTAIN JACK. HE WAS CUTE.

Nope. Bad Wolf was only that first returning season. If you didn't understand the only way you'll understand better is to either rewatch or Google it.

When the vast majority of people think of Doctor Who they think about the Tenth Doctor.

Why else would this pony...

I had to Google it.
When she says, "I scatter them" is the part that confused me. I didn't get that she put them in so that past Rose can see them.

But I just finished Season 2. And. And. And.

Only up to the end of Season 2? Darn it! I can't post the spoilery extra videos like the Doctor's full recording from the episode, "Human Nature".

Those'd be The Happiness Patrol, The Greatest Show in the Galaxy, and Remembrance of the Daleks. Season 25, 1988, 7th Doctor (Sylvester McCoy) and Ace (Sophie Aldred). I've only seen Remembrance (I've watched 93 of the classic 159 serials and counting), but I know a few things about pretty much every story.

As for Kissy...I remember when I discovered Doctor Who. Through LA, in fact. You're in for quite a ride.
