You think people don't make fun of cosplayers? ...Really? XD

Besides, Star Wars is actually.....good. ;)

I'm saying nerds should be more understanding. But I guess after generations of torment they're taking out their rage on the newest of the lows.

You know, peace and love, maaaaaaaaaaaann!

And I'd put Attack of the Clones right up there with the Twilight business. Well. Okay, maybe not. But that's because I'm a fan of Star Wars! D=

But Star Trek fans are just as bad as Twilight fans in my eyes! *nod*

Okay, when I said 'Star Wars is good', I admit I wasn't even considering 1-3. I just meant 4-6 :P

3 was pretty good... if you ignore the fact that it was apparently scripted by Stephanie Meyer.

Who has more personality? Anakin in Ep 3 or Edward from Twilight?

The world will never know. Only one thing is certain.

Schools in Washington can't afford decent lighting.

True story.

A florescent light nearly fell on top of my friend's head once.

Oh I believe you. Our schools down here are just as crappy. There are missing ceiling tiles in many classrooms, leaky roofs, peeling paint... And each school seems to have it's own resident species. One school I know of has roaches... another, raccoons... and in my school, we get bats. That fly around in the hallways and swoop right above people's heads. Seriously. o.o

...but they always seem to keep the classrooms bright. I guess it's because the teachers complain about it.

My High School was built in the 70's over swampland. I got to enjoy broken tile falling on my head almost on a daily basis.

Twilight fans might seem ridiculous to you guys. And nerds seem to be having fun ripping on them whenever possible. But, might I remind you of all the Cosplayers out there? Books written on the "science" of Star Trek? All those who have braved a Star Wars marathon, covered in sugar and various salts? Maybe you lined up at midnight for a video game? Or days in advance?

I've never done any of those things and consequently find them just as silly.

Besides, Star Wars is actually.....good. ;)

It's no Stargate.

Have you never tried something awful just because a brand was plastered all over it?

I say to you, let ye who is without fandom cast the first stone.

No. I haven't.
I already cast it. =P

The Empire Strikes Back is one of the best movies of all time. The existence of 4 and 6 were necessary so that this wonderful film could happen.

I don't know what this 1-3 crap you guys are talking about is Posted Image

I'll be honest, I hate the very idea of Twilight, but that's simply because when I think vampire, I don't think some modern love novel, or even the Blade movies. The first thing I think of is the original, Bram Stoker's Dracula.

Edit: The pictures in this thread are hilarious.

Now, as for the talk of Star Wars, episodes 4-6 were much much better than 1-3. Episodes 1-3 were ok, I will give them that, 3 was pretty good though. And Poore, I'm sorry, but I have to disagree with you, Return of the Jedi was my favorite, but The Empire Strikes Back came in a close second.

That reminds me of the time one of the long fluorescent lights fell on our class... We were having an art lesson in T1 (technically the T stood for temporary, but everyone called it Tin Hut 1 because it was just a corrugated metal shack) and Abu threw a Pritt Stick whihc knocked the entire light down. Fun times.

Anyway, don't bash the Twilight series until you've read the House of Night series.

I don't mind the series or the idea behind twilight.. but Bella makes me want to pull out my hair.

I'm with Wispy; the Twilight hate bandwagon is as bad as the Twilight love bandwagon.

And I've been on both.

Anyway, pictures are funny.

I admit ive read the books and when read without the idea of any other kind of basic vampire or any thing of the sort ... they are okay books, a book series i can only read once. As for the movie it was horrible. Honestly the worst movie ive ever seen.

And as for Star Wars, Poore i agree with Turtlelot and ill bring a pistol and hatchet to the fight. :P

I think Twilight should never be discussed on any forum anywhere. It always has the potential to create enemies.

That said, Ken's comic was pretty amusing.

Well i dont think its as much of a case of Anti-twilight as it is Anti-teenybopper. Anything immensely popular with that annoyingly silly portion of our population is going to be unpopular with the people who consider themselves intelligent.

Which is why i can see why cool people like Wisp would get annoyed at being persecuted for liking Twilight.

No one wants to be generalised into that camp.

And with wisp its clearly not the case. :P
