How do you make videos show up in posts like that anyway? I'm not very good with technology, so I typically have to just provide the link.

Here on LA, we have tags that let us post embedded YouTube videos. In order to do so, take the code on the end of the youtube video url (ex. WjXgebsA5AI) and you place that between [ youtube] [/ youtube] (without the spaces, make sure those are gone) and then you wait for sexy results:
