That said, this announcement tears me up inside. I never played Chrono Trigger, so I should think about picking up the DS version. But I hate old-school RPGs with a passion and common sense tells me that Chrono Trigger is not going to stand out from that. And yet on the other hand, Chrono Trigger has made the top five in every "Best Game Ever" list I've ever read (except metacritic/gamerankings), but that's probably because it was groundbreaking for the time, rather than universal popularity.
The DS lineup is lacking though, so I probably will buy it to give me something to do. But then again, it will be hard to pull Soul Bubbles out of my console (Now released worldwide!).
PS: And there must be an option for stylus control! Buttons no longer satisfy my needs.

I probably won't get it though. I've already got it on SNES, PS1 and emulated on my PSP. The luxury of having it portable has been available to me since the swaploit method

So much stuff is coming out so quickly, it's not even remotely fair.

Hopefully they will keep the anime sequences of the PS1 version, as far and few as there were.
Really? I much prefer the sprite versions to the official art and cut scenes...
Rather ugly:

I saw it in GI months ago and figured I'd never actually see it released.
I'm definitely getting this.

I played the game a few years back, though I should probably invest in a copy for myself. Hm.

So I went into several stores today, none of which had it. Apparently a November 25th release date means that it isn't going to be released on November 25th.
November 25th is the ship date. Those trucks have to get from the west coast (where games typically ship from) to the east coast. Takes more than a day.

Funny story. I came back yesterday, the 26th, and got my copy and the same cashier was there.
He was like, "Oh hey! It's you! Dude, about 30 minutes after you left, we were looking around in the stock room and we totally found all our copies of it! It was there the whole time! We were like 'ooooh sucks for that guyyyy!'"
I smiled, but I was frowning on the inside.
BUT I HAVE IT NOWWWW
