It's not like places are sold out. I just bought a copy online from GAME in preparation for my Wii's arrival.Oh well here's hoping I can get my copy before December 25.
Had to pay over the odds though. £90 for Galaxy, Wii Play, and a nunchuk. Didn't have a choice since wiimotes are as hard to get as a Wii.

I never could in SM64. I also fail to see the correlation of difficulty and whether a game is good or not.
Pretty simple: if a game is too easy, it becomes boring. If a game is too hard it makes you want to throw your controller through the TV. A good game is hard enough to make you work for victory and easy enough that it doesn't make you hate it. Both thresholds vary between people, though.
I understand that much but it seems people want games to nerve-rackingly hard in order to be of any worth. To me, if it requires buying a guide or referring to gamefaqs more than a couple of times, it really kills the enjoyment. I want a game that challenges, not make me feel incompetent like Oracles does. Hell most of the time even if you DO know what to do, it damn hard to pull it off because you have time things right and if you're off by one second you have to start over. When my copy of both oracle games got stolen I was glad! Let some other poor soul suffer it's impossible dungeons.
And this coming from a guy who plays Portal without any help.

....
Oracle's dungeons weren't that hard.
Especially in Seasons.

Oh, and it is awesome, and this comes from someone who missed Mario 64 and still hasn't ever played it.

Well, that, and I'm not playing; just watching as P2. Yeah.
But from what I could see, it's pretty incredible.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
...it's okay, though, because I kinda figured out that Luigi mode would be possible the moment I saw him and how detailed he was. They wouldn't detail him so much for no reason.

But the game's pretty amazing, so I can't complain too much.
Anyone else digging the music? The nostalgia tunes are great, and then some of the orchestrated (orchestral) new stuff is magnificent. I like the hub area's music, it's very Mario 64 castle-ish.

I do have some complaints about the camera, but I'm a stickler for full camera control. I'm also not a fan of how I'll get 95% through a level, touch a bit of fire, and all of a sudden Mario is practically throwing himself on a sword and I lose all my coins.

I'm trying to decide if I like how easy it is to find R-rated humor in the game, or if I should be worried about it. There are just so many places where you sit there and wonder how it got past the producers... it blows my mind how easy it is to make perverted jokes.

The queen bee. I honestly can't see how that sequence can be interpreted any other way. It sounds like they pulled her sound effects straight from a hentai, and what's more, I'm not the only one thinking such things.I'm trying to decide if I like how easy it is to find R-rated humor in the game
Examples?

All in all, this is probably my favorite Wii title to date, and definitely worth a buy. It'll keep you entertained beginning to... middle, at least.

I've just completely finished this game, which took me over a month, and may I say it was completely awesome! Well worth the high rating, and well worth the money.
I'm going to have to join the "this could quite possibly be the best game ever made" club.
