Agitha was scary. I actually wanted to hurt her. Hyrule needs a mental hospital and an SPCA or.. something for bugs.

At least Hyrule isn't as bad as Gotham City. I mean, aren't pretty much most of Batman's major villains insane?

P.S. SOAP... who's Purlo?

Purlo is the guy who runs the STAR mini-game.

I'm surprised that guy hasn't been chased out of town for designing a rigged game. Then again, now that I think about it... why doesn't Purlo just deny Link a prize for "cheating"? Sure, Purlo didn't say Link couldn't use devices, but he's the kind of guy who would find any excuse to not give someone a prize, right?

Speaking of Tingle, Purlo's actually kinda hot. A hot Tingle. They actually made Tingle hot. Nintendo's weird.

Is Purlo anything to do with Tingle? o.o I didn't make any connection between the two, other than odd headgear. Purlo was meant to be somewhat attractive anyway, because Link's fangirls were at first interested in Purlo, until Link started playing the game.

Wolf, you have to remember that Purlo is playing a role, he's all about appearance, he can't suddenly back down just because someone did exactly what he told them to do (fly to the far mesh), else he really would be chased out of town.

Except this is Fyxe we're talking about here. C'mon!

Purlo was the result of the staff wondering what a "cool guy" would look like in Tingle's clothes. Dead serious.

OMG...I never wanted to look that closely at him, but, yeah, he looks disturbingly like Tingle...
And those fangirls annoy me very much...which makes me enjoy running into town as a wolf and scaring people that much more. :D
Which makes me wonder...why did the royal family (or whoever) hire such cowardly people as guards?

This Simpson quote came to mind.

Voice: Warning...Problem in Sector 7-G.
Burns: 7-G? Good God, who's the safety inspector there?
Smithers: [calls up a video file photo of a hairful Homer] Homer Simpson, sir.
Burns: Simpson, eh? Good man? Intelligent?
Smithers: [reluctantly] Actually, sir, he was hired under Project Bootstrap.
Burns: [sarcastically] Thank you, President Ford.

It would seem that Zant got rid of all the competent soldiers. Of course, this brings up the next question...

Spoiler : click to show/hide
If Zelda surrended to Zant and Hyrule is officially his Kingdom, why are there still Guards from Hyrule lurking about as if the Princess hadn't been deposed? Why didn't he just replace them all with his goons?

He didn't need to. The world was covered in Twilight. The soldiers were no longer an issue. As long as there were none in the castle, he didn't care about the rest of Hyrule. And we know that the soldiers are incompetant anyway.

Remember to use the spoiler tags correctly though.

Spoiler : click to show/hide
Zant himself is a spoiler. I mean, who did you think it was to begin with, hmm? The game implies that it's always going to be Ganondorf, and when we find out it's someone else, it's a surprise. Just because we learn his name after the second dungeon doesn't mean it's no less a spoiler.

About the King of twilight's mysterious identity

Spoiler : click to show/hide

despite being poken about as king and "he", especially after seeing the mouth I had this suspicion Zant could be a she and that the reason for the Stargate-like mask was to cover up this identity to anyone, even Midna (who could not have known this usurper before having her throne taken away)

He's no idiot, just insane and overly passionate, driven wild with desire for power and revenge. He's a bit blundering and not particularly good at fighting aside from his magic, but he's an imposing and threatening figure despite (or maybe because of) his lunacy. Don't forget what happened after the Lakebed Temple.

What I find strange is how deep his voice sounds, but how it gets so high-pitched near the end of the game.

After much thought, I have decided however, that the prize for winning Purlo's Star Game must be some cheap thing he found. It isn't the kind of prize you'd expect from a game like that, which kind of suggests he didn't have a prize and had to give Link whatever was to hand.

Zant is also the only Twili whose head kinda looks like an Oocca's (yes, I read that post of yours, and I agree ;)), so that sorta sets him apart from the other tall ones.

Yeah, I thought that about the star game prizes as well (that they're not what you'd expect as a prize for such a game).

What I don't get is who the Heck would create a quiver bag that can contain 100 arrows? Surely, such a bag would be too big to be impractical? Not that it isn't useful in the game, but surely, it's unrealistic?

Not as unrealistic as carrying even thirty full size bombs around in a bag. Presumably all containers in Hyrule are magical...

Is the Evil Jar canon? I didn't seriously think so until I played TP and King Bullbin kept coming back for more after falling off a high bridge TWICE. If the Evik Jar is canon then I wouldn't worry much about about a bunch of innocent monsters.

Yeah, especially that mother frog. She was only protecting her young.

Then again, I doubt a bomb-wielding, pyromaniac terrorist like Link would care about the feelings of others. Seriously, if he walked around our cities, he'd be arrested for all those explosives he carries around with him.

Well, as amusing as it is to picture Link as a mass murdering psychopath, they are *monsters*. It's not like Link kills Yeta.

As for the frog... Did anyone notice what monster that was?

It's Arrghus/Wart, from ALttP and Majora's Mask.

Did anyone else notice that you could throw Bombs in it's mouth, Dodongo style?

Homageness. Fun fight, though.

But as for the monsters thing... What makes a monster a monster? That is the question. Bulblins and Moblins are able to speak, and apparently River Zoras do as well. But they still explode when you stab them.

I only remember their king in ALttP speaking and one in LA DX... which may or may not count (since it's a crazy dream with goombas and whatnot).
Not to argue that they can't speak, because I think at least some should be able to if their king is, but I was wondering if I missed any.
