Button smiled at Z.

"You may get your satisfactory vengeance against the Laz, after I find the Garden. But understand, I hold all the cards here. If you choose to come with me, you will see what the Garden has in store for both our intentions."

Button turned in the direction of the Western Sea, gazing out across the mountains, drifting off...

Z wondered just what this "garden" could be. If it had the power to help him destroy Laz...

He smiled. "Call me Z, Button. You have a deal..."

They both burst out into evil cackles.

*CRACK* Steel winced as his Bokken slammed into the Sensei's side and the sensei's bokken did the same to him.
"A draw it is. Goood, gooooooooood. Learned much you have. More you could not learn in such a short time as we have here. Time it is to show you how to use the Dualist blade . . ."

With just barely more than two days training as a wolf, Red stopped. He shifted out of his wolf form, telling Ken to do so as well.

"What are we doing now?" Ken asked.

"This is as far as I can take you." The other answered.

"Huh?"

Red turned away and looked at the shrine placed in the center of the training area.

"I have taught you the basics of your specialized weapons. However, for such weapons; great spirit swords, fangs, claws... One can only be taught so much before he must find his own path." The red-haired one explained.

"So... That's it? No more training?" the boy asked for confirmation.

"Indeed. Now you must hold up your end of the bargain."

Red turned back to Ken and pulled apart the halfs of his garb, exposing his chest.

"End me, so that I may join the others."

Ken faltered for a second, but drew his sword. He held the Wolfen up, shaking. This man had a connection to his great-grandfather, and had been his teacher - how could he do this?

Red noticed Ken's hesitation.

"Just do it. It will make me happier, just please - do it." He affirmed.

Ken gripped the Wolfen and after breathing in and out a few times, charged at his teacher with a battle cry.

The Wolfen pierced all the way through, leaving Ken uncomfortably close to Red's body. The boy then noticed that there was no blood - there was just a crimson colored ethereal mist.

"Ken Miyamasa, great-grandson of Ken Miyamasa..." Red started.

"Y-yes?" Ken replied shakily.

"Tell me, do you know of the Half-Demon named Kitsune?"

"Y-yes, I do."

Red's eyes seemed to immediately go soft. The ethereal mist that constructed him began to flow into the gem on the Wolfen.

"If you see him again, please, tell him I... Tell him I'm sorry I couldn't cure his corruption..." The man requested.

"I will..." Ken responded with a small nod.

"Thank you..."

The rest of Red's body dissolved into an ethereal mist, placing itself into the gem.

With the ritual over Ken stepped back, falling backwards. His limbs felt limp and he looked between where he saw Red, and then toward the gem.

Ken would have thought more on it, but then reminded himself he had something to do. So with a prayer to the shrine, Ken went down the mountain looking for Kitsune.

Ken arrived in the little training settlement. It had been more than week since he went up the mountain, and he wondered how the others were. But, he kept his promise in mind.

The boy had been looking around but could not find the fellow Taiyo-man. He stopped to rest at one of the gardens. Ken sat there, thinking, hoping that Kitsune had not left.

"Kitsune, where are you?" the boy wondered with a sigh.

Kitsune poked Ken in the back with his sheathed sword. He had been sitting around waiting for everyone to finish their lengthy training.

...by lengthy I mean lengthy

"What do you want?" Kitsune said in a half annoyed tone..

The Sensei handed Steel the Dualist blade. "Well you have done. At an end your time here is. Yesssss. But, before you you go, one task there is you must complete. Take this scroll and follow the instructions on it. At an end your friends' training is too. When return you do, gone wil they be to the first target on your quest to take Laz down." Steel bowed and took the scroll, stood up and turned around, then walked off towards the mountains.

Ken turned around, lowering his head and blushing a little bit.

"Sorry..."

He cleared his throat and regained his composure.

"Well, the thing is that I was training with this person, he had hair that was red & black, and his eyes were yellow, and it was weird becuase he also had the same markings on his face that I do and..."

Ken noticed Kitsune's already impatient expression becoming more annoyed.

"And the point is - Well when we were done, he had me stab him and he turned into some sort of mist... While he ...went... he asked if I knew you. When I told him I did... Well, he asked me to tell you he was sorry he could not cure your corruption. Then he disapeared into my sword..." the boy spoke, stubbling over his words, "Do you remember anyone like that?"

Kitsune looked up for a second to think, then just shook his head and smiled, "No I dont think so..." his voice trailed off as he tried to remember.

...Actually, I cant even remember much from before the woods...

Ken was looking at him with a confused look, Kitsune couldnt really say anything because he really didnt know...

...or he couldnt remember.

To change the subject, he yelled in Steel's direction as loud as he could, "HURRY UP! I THOUGHT THIS WOULD TAKE A DAY OR TWO!!!!!"

He mustve heard him. Poor Ken looked as though his ears were dead.

"Sorry...Ill get back to you on what you asked..."

Kitsune turned and walked, trying to remember anyone look as Ken described...

"Red and black hair, eh?" Kitsune said thinking back to his earlier days...

Ken recovered from Kitsune's outburst, rubbing the area around his ears.

Well, it's nice to know he'll think about it. he thought to himself.

The boy began thinking deeply, delving into his own memories. That man, or spirit, or whatever he was, had something to do with his great-grandfather. Ken tried to recall the tales he heard of his namesake's heroics, trying to think if there was anyone like the man in them. However as he thought more upon it, he could not remember many specifics of people from the tales.

He took a quick glance at Kitsune.

I hope you do know who that man was... the boy thought to himself.

(Are we actually doing anything more in this chapter? Me and Avenger have an idea for the next one, although not getting any signal to continue doesn't help...)

(I honestly think DarkLink_14 needs to be chewed out for this. Many of us are use to multi-char RPing, and I'm personally miffed with him because I believe he took the "Shadow Link" character to play as him, but just so others can't play as him. Just plain mean)

(But back on topic, Gabe, Gabriel and Motoko have been around since this RP thing started. Those two characters have been developed quite well, and now you have to get rid of one out of the blue? I find that rather ridiculous.)

(Bah, how irritating! By the time your problem gets sorted out, we'll be too far into the next RP chapter. My suggestion is a good argument to combat DarkLink_14's new rule. I suppose DL14 didn't think of what the people might think when he made that rule; if it DOES hold up the RP, many forum members will be miffed at him for a good reason...)

(Sorry. It's just that this chapter ended, but without the approval of the others; we can't start the next chapter unless everyone is ready, so I thought I'd get my complaints off my chest.)

OOC: Yes. Stop OOC'ing. DL_14 is the mod of this forum. If you have a problem with what he's doing, take it up with him or talk to DJ, don't complain behind his back. You all should've read the rules when you started, if not, it's your own fault and all I can say is bad luck. Also, WTH do you mean about DL_14 taking Shadow Link? His char is Diel XIV.

(It's in the character list forum, which is still locked. You can't see it, but I caught a glimpse of it before it was locked and when I was submitting Z for the first time; it was on DarkLink_14's list as an original character. Perhaps I could use "Shadow Link" instead or "Dark Link", since the background stories are different...)

Not to dampen your crusade, but have a read of the actual Chronicles section before making complaints. Have a look at why DL actually put his rule up regarding single character play; he states "...I am considering allowing each member one additional character so long as it is a non-dorm aligned character that is operating mainly on solid Alliance territory." Because he designed the ENTIRE world to be explored, not just little sections of it that involve the dorm members.

The character forum is for the RPG Section proper. The Chronicles is designed to have your original character, not a videogame character. When the RPG section is re-opened, then you can go around getting your multiple characters and whatnot, but that rule was put up for a reason, and a valid one at that. You wanna get a new character, start a new story to involve the rest of the world. Also, DL has had those characters for like.....5 years. He's not just spiteful as you may think.

So he doesn't need to be chewed out, you just have to read through the pinned topics.

(I don't have any problem with playing a Laz character, but the second part in bold still irritates me. I know he has had those characters for a long time, yet I have not seen them used once. Heck, I've barely seen DL14 post in an RP at all. Tell you what... if you find me any evidence of DL14 using Dark Link or Shadow Link in these RPs, then I'll drop the whole thing.)

No. Why don't you wait until the RPG section is opened and PM him yourself?

And by "Alliance territory", it refers to members loyal to the Alliance/working for the Alliance, and operating within the regions of which the Alliance is situated. All of which Laz are not.

But why, when posting here increases their post count? The thread's not going to be used anymore anyway. @DL: Dude, you weren't even here when the real RP's were going. Once the chronicles started, any other RP'ing just died. Even if there aren't any evidences of him using them in the current forum, (and I'm fairly sure you might find some) those character lists were carried over from the hack I believe (correct me if I'm wrong Laz) You've been here what? 4 months? DL_14 has been running the RP section with DJ for as long as I've been here, and I'm sure quite a bit longer than that.

Arguing is not what this RP was made for. If someone has a beef, PM someone or make an individual topic on it. Sorry, I'm not even supposed to say this...i'm out of my league.
