Anyway, the 1998 timeline did make sense by the standards back then. I'm just pointing out that it doesn't make sense today.

Of course you don't. Of course, you don't see any coming from Ganon, either.
As opposed to TWW, where the pieces physically rise from their owners.
The Triforces were resonating when Ganon had her sealed in that crystally thing in OoT.
Being physically contained in a life-size crystal prison isn't the same as basically being killed and having your soul sealed in a pocket-sized gem.
From the Aether? Seems to me that Ganon reassembled it, the pieces spun around briefly and then reunited, and stayed stationary until wished upon. They then flew away, but any speculation on why or where can be little more than guesswork. Besides, look at it this way: when OoT was released, how did OoT lead into ALttP without this explanation?
That's exactly my point. It doesn't. It's a plot hole that the existence of TWW and TP made null.

And also as opposed to the theory that Ganon possessed all of it.As opposed to TWW, where the pieces physically rise from their owners.
No, it isn't. Except that your soul is there in both instances. Side question: is that the japanese translation of what happened to the Maidens? There was no mention of any kind of death for them in the english version.Being physically contained in a life-size crystal prison isn't the same as basically being killed and having your soul sealed in a pocket-sized gem.
Given that the three pieces of the Triforce have no impact on gameplay in OoT, why do you think the developers didn't just give Ganon the whole thing? In fact, it's only made known that he doesn't have all three at the very end, when Sheik/Zelda reveals it before being kidnapped. Why alter the ALttP version of events? That's exactly my point. Except it's not a theory. He DID possess all of it, and the only people saying otherwise are those deliberately ignoring the canon intent.

Yes. Their "life" was taken.

Because it made for an interesting plot twist, and the story developers at the time didn't really give a damn about consistency.

Ganon had the whole Triforce in ALttP.
