Ken made a brief smile to the other travelers. He wished he could walk, and not be a burden, but his body still protested movement. The boy offered a silent prayer to his family's spirit, hoping for a quick recovery. It may have been his own stamina, but he did feel a little better afterwords.

Ken then looked at his sword, now lashed across Ayden's back. He stared at the red jewel on the guard. It seemed like it was just decoration, but with what happened in the temple, he felt slightly nervous about. Nonetheless, it was his family's sword--whither or not something was sealed in it did not matter.

Ken turned his head to the other side, his gaze wandering. For a split second, he thought he saw someone. His eyes scanned the area again, but he didn't see anything. He blinked a few more times, puzzled.

"Someone was there..." he uttered under his breath.

He was pondering. Pondering on what to do next. He could either go back to aimlessly searching the woods waiting for something great to happen in the woods, or he could follow the curious people.

He decided to follow. Lurking within the shadows, Kitsune kept his senses about using his curious fox-like ears on his head.

There was something about this person he was looking at, like he had seen him before. He would always think of his hometown when eyeing this individual.

He continued slowly but steadily.

"Well, here I go." Germanlink was about to enter the mysterious Lost Woods. Just some time ago, he had hired a spy in order to help him find his brother, surprisingly, the spy was successful. Germanlink had received a report from the spy that his brother, Billy Goat was last seen celebrating at the last battle between the Domains (dorms).

Germanlink came to the relaization that Billy Goat must have joined the Lost Woods army in order to most likely fight against Khuffie's great empire. "How ironic, he still joins an army, so what's difference did this make...he is so arrogant, I must find him before he kills himself". Germanlink found himself in front of a surprisingly big sign, "WARNING! ENTERING LOST WOODS". Germanlink sighs and steps forward deep into the dense forest in hopes of finding something that may lead him to his brother.

Suddenly, Gabriel sensed a dark presence in the underbrush near a large tree. A kitsune hanyou(fox hald-demon)!! She then drew her katana. "Guys, there's trouble!"

With his sensitive fox ears, Kitsune picked up the sound of a sword being drawn out of it's sheath...he paused to sniff the air to sense if anyone was near him...

Noone...yet.

...The Gods must be crazy, Toan thought. To enlighten the only path out of this natural prison in the form of this... group. More and more travellers and seemed to be joining out of thin air. What started as a solo mission quickly became a duo, then a trio, and now a quartet (not even taking into account disembodied voices) of the most unlikely travellers the Zora could imagine. Toan knew there would be more, too.

"Guys, there's trouble!"

Toan felt thoroughly annoyed by now - all these hold ups! He knew better than to tempt the Gods and fight Their Almighty Destiny, but it couldn't hurt to egg on these "leaders" in the slightest bit. In a baleful tone, but nevertheless underspoken and soft, Toan uttered, "There is no danger here, merely a distraction."

With that the ominous appearance of the Woods gave way to an even darker shadow as Toan gazed upon the underbrush near the large tree. The bush grew darker and darker and darker... the entire bush seemed to be a silhouette, yet it grew darker still. The leaves began to twist and curl and disintegrate, hitting the ground as if they were being burned by an unseen fire. If it had the means, the bush would be emitting an ear-piercing scream; the entire act seemed to be that painful. When the leaves were gone the branches and twigs began to curl, twist, and disintegrate as well, until nothing was left of the bush except for a small pile of pitch black, cold as ice ashes... and as the shadow lifted the Woods back to its normal state of gloomy despair, it revealed the half demon Kitsune.

Toan blinked a few times and gave a small sigh. Magic comes at a small cost, but this was mere child's play - nothing enough to wear him out in the mildest sense. But, regardless, he realized he was hungry again. Nodding his head very slightly towards the animal, the Zora uttered once more. "It is nothing but a creature who has forsaken my Gods, and therefore means nothing to me. Let us leave it and continue our journey, for we are quite.... delayed as it is."

He took a few smooth steps forward and turned to face the rest of the group, his eyes flashing malevolently, awaiting any kind of response.

Gabriel just sighed and resheathed her katana. "Fine, whatever." She then turned to Toan. "But we still need to be careful. I saw in that half-demon's eyes that he wants Ken's sword, so Motoko, you should keep it safe until Ken regains his strength."
She was taken aback in surprise. "Really....? Do you think I can, Father?"
"Of course. Although, the choice is up to him."

Ken winced when he saw the silent torture of the forest, but his eyes were soon fixed on the half-demon. Something about him seemed familier.

Ken then heard Gabriel, and turned his head to her and Motoko.

"If you really think so, then go ahead. It would be one less burden for Ayden."

Ken did feel mildly worried--the sword was light for being as long as he was tall. But even with the mystical nature of the blade, it was very heavy. Ken really did hate being useless, but there was no use complaining about it. Not moving for a while would hopefully help him recover.

Germanlink had been traveling in the woods for quite some time now and he still found absolutely no sign of any civilazation or even of life for that matter. Eventually, he came upon a spring, as he drew near it to drink some fresh water, a Stalfos leaped out of the water and came charging at Germanlink. Caught by surprise, Germanlink was hit and flew a few feet backwards from the blow. The Stalfos just stood there, almost as if it was waiting for Germanlink to strike.

Germanlink quickly drew a wind spell from his book and blew a strong gust of a air at the Stalfos, almost having no effect, only blowing the Stalfos a few inches backwards. The Stalfos grew angry and charged at Germanlink again, punching straight into his stomach, then throwing him into a bush. Germanlink was even more angered now, he tried another spell but it still had no effect on his enemy. This time, Germanlink drew a spell and linked it to his arm, he then punched the stalfos in the the arm and it came right off. He then relaized he could link his spells into physical attacks to make them stronger. He then linked a spell into his legs, he then jumped up into the air and did a spining kick into the stalfo's ribcage. The stalfos itself shattered and all it's bones were blown off with the wind and power from Germanlink's kick.

Savoring his victory, Germanlink looked into the spring. This time, two Stalfos had jumped out, this time it was even worse though, they carried a sword and shield each. "This is ridiculus" Gemanlink drew another spell into his legs, this time though, he ran. He ran as far as he could from the spring. "If the monsters are this powerful, I can't even imagine how strong the warriors of this place must be." He remembered his brother, and kept on walking.

Eventually he ran into a little fairy by an orchard of flowers, "...all I saw was earlier when I was going to my friend's house, I saw a group of strange ones, a Zora and three humans." With these words, Germanlink headed to the direction pointed out by the fairy, hoping that this group would know something about his brother.

Motoko hesitantly took the sword from Ayden and hefted it onto her shoulder with ease. "Hmm. It feels very powerful, but not heavy at all."
Gabe then nodded. "Let's go." she said as she opened her ears further to the forest spirits

Ayden relinquished the sword with a bit of unease. Images of the fight between Aiden and Ken over that sword flashed before him. Ayden silently wondered why Ken trusted Motoko so easily, but then the realization that Ken hadn't asked for it from Ayden either.

It must have just been the attack. This ability to control the darkness inside him was having unusual effects, mainly the ability to see now what had happened when he was not in control.

Ayden shrugged the whole thing off, shifting the weight of the gurney and eying Toan. He was obviously in a hurry, and Ayden was likewise ready to leave this temple. He started off. "Well, if Ken were well it would still take a bit of time for us to get out of these woods. So I suggest we get started. Ken will be well soon enough I'm sure, but we need to cover a little ground before nightfall." He looked up through the thick foliage, trying to judge the time despite the forests veil.

After realizing that it was only mid-day, he started out. As he walked, he slipped back into his own thoughts, replaying the events in the temple and wondering at the possible implications.

Germanlink was exhausted and badly injured. Right after hearing from the fairy to go to the temple, he ran into a pack of five wolfos. He had oviously lacked the strength to fight them, and he was barely able to espace, being able to manage it by using a wind spell, and a smoke bomb he had bought before entering the forest. "Darn, now I only have one left." Germanlink kept on heading deeper into the forest into the direction of the Temple. Eventually, as he was walking, he had heard a group of men talking. As he heard this he immediately broke into a run, and after running through a bush, he tripped on a rock flat on his face. As he got up dusting himself off, he looked to his right, finding a group of warriors and someone in a sort of cloak, along with the Forest temple. The group itself had stopped it's entire conversation as they looked at Germanlink in a sort of way as if he was intruding.

"Excuse me good sirs...may I have some of your time?" said Germanlink, hoping that these people were friendly, since it was ovious he would not be able to take them on even if they were enemies, specially with his injuries from the previous battles.

Ken himself began to wonder why he felt willing to let the others carry the sword. He knew he wouldn't be doing much good holding it himself, but a part of him did not want another soul to touch it. He knew he trusted Ayden enough with it. Then, something emerged into his consciousness as he began to remember the events that had taken place in the temple. Now he knew why--he was afraid of what was hidden in the sword.

Ken poured through his mixed thoughts a little when he heard a new voice and looked over to Germanlink.

"What?" He noticed that he was now watching a group of people instead of two. He was to focused on the sword to pay attention to where they were going.

He then realized, it was the jealousy. That sword was far superior to his own, meaning he needed a new sword that is not exactly, "stronger", but just one that was more powerful then the one he wields right now.

Noticing this, he decided to take a different approach, he went to the forgery he had heard of. He decided to get a brand new sword, one that was at least better than this one.

Gabriel kept her eyes on Kitsune until a new voice was heard.

"Excuse me, good sirs...may I have some of your time?"

She looked over at the new guy and her eyebrow went up. "Yes? What seems to be--" She walked over to him, scanning his face. "Do I know you? You seem kind of familiar to me."
Motoko just giggled and, while staying alert, held Ken's sword a bit more comfortably

Germanlink had finally calmed down, it seemed the tension had gone down a bit. He was very glad these people seemed friendly, he was even more glad that they spoke civilized toungue. He saw one of them approaching him, "Do I know you? You seem kind of familiar to me." Germanlink just stood there thinking for about two seconds, he remembered of a man who was able to trasform into a woman, which would seem why this woman looked so much like that man, "Actually, I do recall someone like yourself coming to my town once looking for a job as a fighting swordsman...Ah yes, I remember now, my father had paid you to train him before he would go into the post in Sornaiid for Khuffie's army." The person standing right before him was listening, but was also looking into the direction the Kitsune was at.

Germanlink looked into that direction as well, but he did not notice anything at all. And so seeing nothing wrong, he kept on talking, "Do you remember me? I'm Leon Archan's eldest son, Germanlink." Germanlink was actually very pleased to find someone who he knew, surely they weren't complete friends, but they weren't complete strangers either. A Wolfos could be hard off into the distance, fear grew into Germanlink's eyes. But seeing the people in front of him, he felt safer.

"Oh yes, I almost forgot, I have a question for you all...do you know of a warrior named Billy Goat? He supposedly fought in the war on behalf of the Lost Woods, so if any of you are from here, I'm sure you have seen him...well have you?" Germanlink walked closer into the group, mainly because he was scared that the pack of Wolfos might have caught his scent and would head this way.

"Hmmm........Germanlink........Germanlink...... Ah yes! I remember now!" She then heard the Wolfos and saw Germanlink walk toward the others.

"....do you know a warrior named Billy Goat?" he asked the group.

Obviously, Motoko was completely confused by the question.
Gabriel followed him back to the group. "Billy Goat? I haven't seen him since after the war."

Having reached the forgery, he went in. He met the met the forger, who was a bloated man, and looked like the greedy type. He could see that this man would not care about what the sword was, as long as he gets his money.

Kitsune asked for it to be a straight sword. He also asked the man to create it from a special material that he could relay his magic energy through creating large blasts.

"That will be pricey, heh heh" said the fat forger. Kitsune just nodded and let him continue his work.

The man made the sword at a high speed, and was done quickly. He finished the sword, made a custom sheath for the blade, and handed it over to Kitsune.

"That will be 500,000 gold, sir, heh heh."

"...what?" said Kitsune looking at him with a cold stare.

"I told you it would be pricey, half demon. And since you cant accept that, Ill make it 550,000."

Instantly, Kitsune turned around and smashed the man's skull using the sheath of the sword. The man fell down behind his counter, so Kitsune couldnt see (nor did he care), of what happened to the man. The blow was lighter than usual, so he may have survived.

"Keh, thanks." He mumbled to himself on the way out.

Exiting the forge, he headed back to the temple area thinking up a new plan.

"So he did fight in the war...looks like that spy wasn't so dimnwitted as I thought he would be." Germanlink had a look of dissapointment in his eyes, some time had already passed since the war ended and Billy Goat may not even be in the woods any more. Germanlink looked at his wounds from his previous encounters with enemies, "Say, would you guys mind if I joined your group? I don't think I would be able to survive alone in this forest..." Just then another howl was heard, this time though, it was very close...too close.

"Oh, I seem to have forgotten, I should tell you that-", Germanlink was interrupted by a growl, and immediately Three Wolfos jumped out of the bushes. Germanlink started to prepare a wind spell as the three Wolfos started to circle around the group.

^Young one.^ Ken heard a voice speak in his head.

He looked up to the forest canopy, away from the conversation.

^Do you truly fear the sword of your ancestor?^

<Raiyu... I...> the boy thought.

^An evil was always within - it matters not whither you saw it.^

<Great Silver Wolf... What am I supposed to do?>

^When the time comes... My answer, your devotion, and the truth... It will all point to itself...^ the voice faded.

Ken looked back when he heard the Wolfos coming out.

"Mockeries of true nature..." the boy mumbled.

Ken tried to get up, feeling the instinct to fight, but his tired body immediately collapsed.

"Damn..."

He reached it. Just to be greeted by the site of people being jumped by wolfos.

Seeing the collapsed warrior, he decided his best chance to be friendly with the crew would be to help them out.

He pulled the sheath out with the sword still in it, and prepared for a battle with the wolfos.

"Keh, these low-level wolves dont deserve to be killed by a blade..."

Gabriel only smiled. "Piece of cake!" she said, her katana drawn. One Wolfos tried to pounce on her, but she only kicked it away. She then slashed at it once and resheathed her blade before the wolf creature fell into two pieces and died. "One down."
Motoko wasn't doing very well, herself. Although they took her completely by surprise, none of them were able to touch her. She then slashed downward with Ken's sword and one more Wolfos went down

Germanlink had no actual intent in fighting seeing as the two women handled two of the wolves already, then seeing the Kitsune about to attack the last remaining one. But then, the last of the Wolfos pounced at Germanlink, opening it's jaws in mid-air. Germanlink drew up a wind spell into his arm and launched his arm into the Wolfos' mouth. As the Wolfos' jaws were closing, two strong whirlwind came out of Germanlink's arm. The Wolfos seemed to be blowing up, like a balloon would with air. Soon two openings appeared onto the beast's back, with blood spraying out of both of them. The Wolfos dropped into the ground, dead, blood oozing out from the holes made by the pressure of Germanlink's wind.

"Whew, that was way too close." said Germanlink, wiping his arm off from the Wolfos' saliva with his pants.
"Those Wolfos had been following me for quite a while now, they probably followed my scent all the way to this place, sorry about that. Although, I wonder what happened to the other two..." Germanlink finished wiping himself off, and looked over at the Kitsune

Kitsune didnt even have to move an inch. The wolfos were slaughtered before him by the warriors. He saw a warrior looking at him, but was to busy thinking...

"...These warriors have remarkable skill if they can slaughter wolfos this fast...Keh, or the wolfos have just lost their touch..."

Noticing that the warrior was still staring at him in a confuzing way, he turned and faced him...after a long awkward silence, he spoke:

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Said Kitsune with a glare.

Germanlink looked at the Kitsume, his long silver hair was moving gracefully as the Kitsune sheathed his long blade. "Err...umm...nothing! Nothing at all...it's just...your ears...ahh nevermind them. Kitsune ignored the "ear" comment from Germanlink for now. His accursed fox ears are the sign of a half demon. Normally, Billy Goat would be in a fight right now if it wasnt for Kitsune trying to put on a more friendly act.

He turned to the two women and glared.

"Where did you learn your sword skill from?" Was all he asked in a serious tone.

"Father?" Kitsune turned to look at Gabe. "...well seeing as you are her, well, apparent 'father', you seem to know some skill with the blade."

He said this as he looked around the woods to see if he could hear out or smell any other enemies approaching.

"You would make a great sparring partner." He said to Gabe, "What name do you go by?"
