I'd say he would be closer to a human. He's got the pointy ears, but the muscle isn't really an elven physical thing.

But does having pointy ears necessarily make them elves?

I've seen my fair share of people in hyrule with pointy ears being called "Human". Like Nayru(OoA) or malon. So I guess pointy ears doesn't necessarily determine Hyrulean races, but it is fact that all Hylians have pointy ears.

Edit: Ocarina of Time Malon and Talon both have pointy ears, Oracle of Seasons Malon and Talon both have round ears.

I think the whole pointy ears or not doesn't really matter then. In hyrule, obviously certain characteristics can change easily, such as Zelda changing her eyes from blue to red when becoming Sheik.

I've always thought that Hyruleans were hybrids of Humans and Elves.

In my opinion Hylians are Elves....just Zelda Universe calls them Hylians,... also Zelda Universe doest seem to see a difference between Humans (round ears) and Hylians (pointy ears), calling them both Humans.
