Remote control not-so-good for the Revolution

None of'em are even out yet and people are already going to ludicrous lengths to defend the next-gen consoles.
That goes for all of them.

Video games. Fun. Until you begin killing eachother because of simple arguments over them. Sad. Yes...

people are saying that the ps3 controller feels like the ps2 one, except a bit better. i personally hated the ps2 controller- i have strange, bony hands, and the ps2 controller did not get along with them. but you never know, it might be right this time. and truely lazy people can prop it on their stomaches now, without gaming interference.
score= neutral
xbox controller... progress? a new button and a tiny layout change? i'm not seeing much growth, which means it's falling behind.
score= a bit behind
revolution controller is a huge risk. so nintendo gets kudos right away for having more guts than any other game company in existance. this will decide whether they die or not. but, using common sense (which is not always present in nintendo), they not only made this a very flexible controller, as vgcats indicates, but they also made a retrogradable controller. being able to stick it into an almost exact copy of the GC controller was very wise.
so basicly, any arguement about the rev controller being uncomfortable just got shot to h*ll, becuase the GC controller is the most comfortable one available ATM. to me at least, i can't talk for people with small hands. it's certainly the most innovative.
score= ahead.
the sad thing is how utterly pointless this all is, as 13 and others have pointed out. i for one am going to try and have fun with all three, while getting away with owning as few as possible (none for a long time, because i am one of those poor students

Why do any of the controllers need progress?xbox controller... progress? a new button and a tiny layout change? i'm not seeing much growth, which means it's falling behind.

And have the fools at Nintendo released an official picture of the "shell" yet?

Unless you're on welfare, no such thing. You get a free education and free room and board. In a year or two you'll be able to get a job, so either you beg your parents for a gaming system or wait it out until then. There are others who haveta work AND go to school full-time, and still can't afford even the games for the current systems, let alone a whole new one of the new systems.^ word.
wait, i'm not in college >.< think of the starving highschoolers and middle schoolers!

My view on this? If you like the original Nintendo controller, turn this one sideways and pretend really hard that it's like that. If you liked the old X-Box, no big change. Same for PS, though that last one is the most likely for me to get simply because I own a PS2 and I'm most comfortable with not only the shape of the controller, but also the games that come out from companies that Sony has alliances with. Though my hands DO have a lotta trouble wrapping around the current X-Box and GCN controllers comfortably.
But what am I gonna do in reality? Wait until the price of any of them goes down tremendously, and there's a plethora of games for each available. Then hope that I actually have some money for one. Hope big-time.

Rev controller = the best, ok .........
EDIT: all the controller have a good and a bad side (some more than others) but we should think on is better becouse Sony made it or becouse Nintendo made it... they are all controllers... this is not a war.

Downfall of nintendo? Over a controller? Dont forget they are in fact, leading in the handheld world.

You can't really judge any controller if its ahead, behind whatever
Personally I think that Nintendo might be falling behind. For one its supposed to run the same Graphics Professor as the Gamecube so that = Not real good graphics. But who knows everything can change hopefully. The Revolution is taking a big risk and some people might adapt to the change , some people might not. Xbox360 controller is basically the same as its predecessor except R2 and L2 added like the PS2. For the PS3 controller, I haven't really looked at it yet but I don't know why people are hating it just because it looks like a Boomerang. Who cares, the controller isn't for its shape it's for your hands to hold the controller and by far that looks like the sleekest one in my opinion. The Remote Control, Yes this is probably the most advanced controller right now but we didn't see anything....Yet. All we've seen is that it's wireless, has an Outer-Shell that their still developing and you can point on the T.V screen so you act like your in the game. But we still don't know if the game will run good with that.

Funny how you used the "Have you even picket one up?" quote for the PS3 controller, yet make comments like "hard to get used to" for the Rev controller.
No, but Ive picked up a f***ing remote. And yes, I have pretended to play a game with my TV remote (which is REALLY close to the Rev remote) whilst my little brother played Zelda. *in geeky professor speaking fastly and mad voice* for scientific purposes only!

Not only that...how can the graphics get better? I mean if you saw MGS4 and RE5 for PS3...then you kinda think, what next?
Also, tehres the factor of ideas.... of games are becoming either boring sequels, cliche ideas, or really, really, 1/100000000 well thought out ideas.
Eh...oh great...got myself in the thinking state....which is going to result in sadness...dammit...*tearing* >.<
EDIT: Also...seeing as Hideo Kojima is retiring, and Shinji Mikami is out of the RE area...and seeing that Shigeru Miyamoto may be retiring as well...>.<
