Also, I'm not that filled in on the story of anything before OoT, but has Ganondorf actually ever appeared so dead? I mean, he turned into stone!!! now, this could be support for my idea, or could work against it: the master sword is stuck in stone again. this could be the stone the sword is stuck in in any other game, or it could be that this is the resting place of the Master Sword forever. It is left in hyrule, remember, so shouldn't it be washed away too?

He turned into ashes in the original and exploded in LttP.

However, he's definitely dead. His final lines pretty much confirm it, and anyways, Hyrule is washed away.
Personally I'm beginning to think *nothing* comes after TWW, which means it's somewhat seperate from other games like ALttP.

But this is one of the least dead times we've seen Ganondorf. After LoZ and ALttP, he is definitely dead.

That or they could decide to make a sequel just cos TWW was that much fun.
Well, there's Tetra's Trackers...

As for Ganon dying. In LoZ he dies *but* there is an explination of how he could be revived. In aLttP we see him die as well, though only in his Ganon form. WW is the only game that shows him die in human form. Actually, it's just as assumtion he's dead, though it does seem likely.

WW does seem like the last game in the series, but as it also seems like a direct sequal to OoT, it suggests an alternate timeline. I personally subscribe to this being due to a timeline split after OoT, though this isn't the only way more than one timeline can work.

well, i'm not a fan of a split timeline idea, WW does seem to be both after OoT and the last. OoT does seem to be the first too, but maybe it really is near the end of Hyrule.

Even LoZ had some of the same features like Specticle Mountains (or whatever they were called). I'm sure there were more, but it's been a while since I last looked at LoZ map.Any Hyrule that exists after TWW cannot have the exact same feature names as the original Hyrule. I guess that means if any Hyrule exists, only the one in the original Zelda game exists after TWW.

The Great Sea is still only known in TTW, and then they find a new land, just farther off the horizon, known as New Hyrule. I think from here this is when the other games come to play. I'm sorry to say this but I have never played the good Zelda games like ALLTP, or LA. I just started on OOT. So from after that, I wouldn't exactly know what order the games go to.
But I do think that LA or ALLTP shows that it is a NEW Hyrule. Since Link's on some unknown Island, once he's done there he just thinks it's some dream. Personally, I think he just thought it was a dream, and it's one of the old Islands of the Great Sea forgotten...

Forests hold great power--they can change
one tiny island into a much larger island.
Soon, a day will come when all the islands
are one, connected by earth and grove.
Hmm...sounds to me like Hyrule's gonna be reformed after WW. Not only that, but soon apparently. No, no game could possibly come after WW. <_<

Plus the Master Sword is still in Hyrule, and Ganon is rather dead.

Plus, Ganon's been killed more than once. LTTP, LoZ, OoX...

Nope. That sounds to me like the rantings of a delusional tree.
Even if they do create a new Hyrule, it just won't be the same. Kakariko Village wouldn't be called Kakariko. Why would they call it Kakariko? In name of a village they'd never heard about?
Any new Hyrule that is created will not share the same place names or features as the old Hyrule. Maybe the TMC Hyrule could possibly be this new Hyrule, but the HA Hyrule (which comes after the TMC Hyrule) has a Kakariko Village too. None of the current games can fit after TWW bceause of this.

Got Canceled.....Well, there's Tetra's Trackers...
But in the beginning of TWW it says its been 200 years since the hero saved Hyrule so 200 years before would be OoT and MM?

Does it?
I don't think so, anyway...
And it would have to be significantly more than that for the language to have changed so as to become completely unrecognizable.

You're right, it never says 200 years. It says hundreds of years. That can be any number and not necessarily 2. I would guess it was a long time between. As for the language... Having the original Kingdom drowned out would be a likely catalyst for people to loose all understanding of an old language - especially if many of the survivors were too young to actually read or something. It never says 200 years.

But Hyrule is gone. The king himself said that if they found a new land, it wouldn't be Hyrule.
Plus the Master Sword is still in Hyrule, and Ganon is rather dead.
I think what the king meant was that any new land they find wouldn't be Hyrule because it wouldn't be tied down by the past. They can still call it Hyrule, I suppose, but it wouldn't be the original Hyrule as it wouldn't have all that baggage.
And we don't know that Ganon is dead. It appears that way, but it was never confirmed.

I agree. For all we know, the stone link gets the Master Sword from next is Ganon's stone body, maybe he had to take that chance into taking the sword but bringing Ganon back alive. He had to make that choice.
But the new land of Hyrule doesn't even need to be drained of all that water. When you travel too far out when you sail in TWW, KORL says it's 'too dangerous' anywhere else. I think in that outer world there would be much larger lands.
I would love to see some direct quotes on what the King says at the end about them finding the new Hyrule.

Besides, I have a good feeling that Nintendo will make a game after TWW (besides TT).
