Hey it's me again. While playing through TWW for umpteenth time (feels kinda like an obligation now), one of the recurrent themes of the game was its 'link to the past' (the legend of the Hero of Time) where in that era of Hyrule of the powers of the Hylia were at their peak and the land was described as being beautiful with lush fields, rocky mountains, clear lakes and breathtaking ruins. My thoughts on this were further accentuated by the announcement and later the the demo of Twilight Princess at E3 where most fans were happy with not only the look but the fact that this new saga in the Zelda 'timeline' is set on land. This left me with the question regarding the different incarnations of Hyrule represented in the games of the Zelda series thus far. Which time era of Hyrule would you live in?

Thanks to Mystic Kitsune and the board FAQ in the creation of this poll. :D

BTW, sorry if a poll similar to this has already been posted.

Why is FS/FSA Hyrule not on the poll? I would like to live there.

I picked TMC because I would like to live in Hyrule Town.

The storyline wasn't so bad IMO. But I say that for the sole reason that it showed us another dimension in Ganondorf's character.

OoT. Malon, the Song of Storms, and the Temple of Time are definitely on my OoT list of things to see. And hear, in the case of the second item.

And it's my poll!

As much as I love OoT (the shrine! the shrine!), I think I'd rather live in the LTTP world. I'm not quite sure why. On second thought, maybe my vote should have gone for OoT...oh well, too late now.

I put TWW era, I like the beach and I like swiming and cannoing. That's why, besides, It's probaly the most peaceful era, at least for me.

Everyone knows where they want to live, but they gave good reasons.

BTW, thanks to the person who edited the poll. Under the influence of the Dark Side a board user may consider this power a gateway to many abilities (such as posting an incomplete poll) some may consider to be....unnatural.

None of them. None really seem to be ideal places to live, considering most Zelda games only have 1 major town in the game. Not to mention there's monsters everywhere. Do they even have electricity in Zelda?

But if I had to choose I guess I'd pick Majora's mask. I know it's not Hyrule, and it's not up there on the list, but you gotta figure it'd be great having that carnival each year. Majora's mask gave the me the most realistic feeling, because there were so many people in that town (I'll admit TWW gave me a greater feeling of this, but MM came first...) and there were surrounding communities. Plus people came from all over just for that carnival! It has to be great.

I would rather live in Termina than Hyrule, but if I had to live in Hyrule, I would want to live in OoT Hyrule. I would visit Lon Lon Ranch a lot, and I could meet Malon! I could watch the sunset from on top of Death Mountain. I could see Hyrule Castle and if I'm lucky I might just get to meet Princess Zelda. And there are other interesting people I could meet too like the windmill guy or the chicken lady, or meet the other races. Plus there is bombchu bowling, fishing, racing, and the shooting gallery to keep me entertained when I get bored.

Decisive ones keep on voting! OoT era Hyrule is currently in the lead with four votes, but I would've thought that some would've voted for the FS/FSA era.

I would live in the OOT era.

In fact, i'm sad enough to have wondered where i'd want to live. I've got it narrowed down to the Lakeside Laboratory (though i'd need a little home improvement), Lon Lon Ranch, down a back alley of Castle Town or Kakariko Village.

I'm leaning toward the Lakeside Laboratory...

OoT. Call me a bandwagon-jumper...

Actually, it's simply the happiest days Hyrule ever had. (I'm talking JUST before Ganondorf.)

I would pick Wind Waker if the islands weren't so small, there weren't so few people, and there weren't no real government.
