Princess Ai was fascinating, to say the least.
o.o; I'm a Watase loyalist, generally. I've read every series she's put out here, and some online scanlations of works that they weren't planning to license here. So... her "Absolute Boyfriend" and "Genbu Kaiden (Fushigi Yugi)" series are still at the top of my list...
But lately, I've been looking very seriously at Tanemura's works. At first, I was like "the art is too girly and the stories are WAY too shoujo!!"... ._. But the character development and the angst really pulls at me. Both Full Moon wo Sagashite and Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne really stunned me. So... my updated list =
Yu Watase Works
Arina Tanemura Works
Angel Sanctuary & Godchild
Naruto- because the story really isn't that bad.

It's a toss up between the original Dragon Ball and Kenshin. I'd probably take DB though because the Kenshin manga's version of the Tokyo Arc is really weak compared to the anime's, and the Kyoto Arc is essentially the same on tv, it's really only the Jinchu Arc that excells.
But, that's not to take anything away from Dragonball, which is a hilarious and fun comic to read. If only DBZ and GT continued that trend.

I've got quite into Mahou Sensei Negima...
Though I think all the gratuitous fan service can be a bit OTT.

Although I'm reading Naruto and Bleach, I am loving One Piece, and also Ragnarok by Myung Jin-lee (sp?). If only it wasn't on hiatus......
