The only thing that really sucked about MM was the ending music...oh my god that sucked (at least if you did the band subquest). :soldier:

The real problem is- it's groundhog day. you have to do the same dang stuff again and again. but that's trivial compared to the stuff that allows for- beautiful characters, landscape scripting, alternate endings, endless boss fights, etc.
No, it didn't have the epic feel of OoT. Which sucks, I love epic. And it didn't have the classic story either- but is that a bad thing? Frankly, I got bored in 4SA, so the cunning, twisty story of MM really got my attention. w00t strange masks which f--- up the world.
So ja, I gave my vote to MM.

The saving system was so gay.
What do homosexuality have to do with this topic? <_<
Anyways, I prefer OoT, although MM was a great game. It's just that I prefer the games that are about Link, Zelda, Hyrule, the Triforce and Ganon.

But i played Ocarina of Time first and it still feels the most magical to me. I will never forget the way it felt the first time i played it so yeah OoT gets my vote.

I think each game has its good points.
Ocarina of Time - when it came out it raised the benchmark in so many aspects of 3D gaming. I've noticed a lot of people here vote for MM because once they have played it and gone back to Ocarina, OoT seems a little lacking. But remember that MM has the advantage of 2 years, and the expansion pak, to make it bigger and better. I think OoT is probably the ultimate 'classic' Zelda game (that could be argued) - not only did it have everything 'Zelda', i.e. Zelda, Hyrule, Ganon, Triforce, but these things were stunningly created into 3D. It is sad that OoT's graphics are now out of date but at the time it was an awe-inspiring transition from 2D into 3D. I think it has an excellent storyline too.
The sequel to Ocarina was always going to be a hard act to follow. Nintendo took 2 things from this game 1) the idea of going back in time and altering the future and 2) The masks, which was a simple side-quest in OoT. Revolving the game around a 3 day sequence was a brilliant idea. Not only did this make things interesting, as you could essentially be in many different places at the same time, or you could follow a single character around for 3 days, but it added more of a challenge as if you did not complete something by the end of the 3 days, you needed to start over. The number of dungeons (OoT had 8 while MM had 4) was replaced by more interactivity with characters and more sidequests. What I think was MM's biggest downfall was the final boss - Majora. He lacked Ganondorf's substance, and he was far too easy to defeat.
Overall, I think both are amazing games, but I would choose OoT over MM.

P.S. sonicsgirl, I am really sorry if I insulted you or sounded intolerant. I really didn't mean to. I come from a board with a lot of intoleratn people, I gotta say. Heh. You should see THAT board after the election. They're probably whining for days that Kerry didn't win and pissing each other off!
