Yes, their names sound similar (Malin, Malon, Marin, Maron...), but are they spelt the same thus it's just a translation issue so do they, in fact, have the same name? Need to find that out.

Oh, one last thing. For what its worth. In an EARLY E3 demo I believe of WW, Aryll was named "Arill" (something like that). She had an "i" instead of a "y" and I liked it that way. I was ticked when they changed it.

Perhaps Ilia has a connection to Marin/Malon/Aryll/whoever. Ilia sounds a bit like Aryll, kind of. And she has a connection to Epona. And Link seems to like her.

Maybe Aryll is one of Malon's descendentants? That's why she is so much like her... but that would mean that OoT Link and Malon don't get together, since WW Link isn't related to the Hero of Time ;_; And Marin can't be Malon or Aryll's descendant because she was a dream, and then she escaped the dream... Well then maybe Aryll is Marin's descendant. She lives on an island! But then you would have to put LA before WW. Hmm, Link could drift away to outset island and then Marin follows him and everyone on outset island is their descendants! But that is a little far-fetched, I don't think it would work. Plus, would it work out between an angel and a human? >_<

That character is so not meant to be Link. He's meant to be a Dungeons & Dragons-type character.

However, one of the other characters is definitely meant to be Pikachu.
