Oh, too bad. Skeletal wolves would be nice...or werewolves...if they bite you, you have a certain amount of time to cure it before...well, anyway, forget my fantasies, I think it's just a Wolfos.

This Zelda has LoTR looking features, and a few enemies might be influenced but i dont think the game as a whole is a LoTR copy in anyway. I think Ninty have pulled off the perfect fusion of OoT, MM and WW. MM had an overall darker feel than OoT, which i feel is portrayed in WW and you can see it all in the trailer. I think at this point all anyone can (and is) doing is make assumptions untill ninty release something big on this project. Is shigsy even involved in this game as much as he was with OoT?

I don't know...this looks like something Eiji would do, very dark. It DOES look terrific regardless.

I'm stoked. I hope it plays well, though.
I could care less of the grahpical style as long as the game is fun. That said, too much LotR-immitating would hinder my enjoyment of it, because Zelda's quirkiness is part of it's fun.

Agreed.
I'm really looking forward to this one. It looks like it has the epic storyline and expansive environments of OOT, and the detail and darkness of MM. I really hope the storyline and NPCs are as emotion-enducing and tear-jerking as MM. I hope there's more than one town, and that the townspeople are more like characters than robots.

I'm sure they'll keep it quirky. I'll cry if it isn't. The soul of Zelda is seeing an epic through a little boy's eyes.
Odd that BatchGC compares it to OoT and MM, (and so would I,) and it's supposed to be WW's sequel. It's so surreal, it must be a new land or something..the one they discovered on ships.

That's the most likely scenario, Husse. The Wind Waker's ending automatically created a surge of speculation about New Hyrule, and since z05 is officially the next chronological episode after TWW, it's pretty obvious that Nintendo would have to show us the New Hyrule we've been wondering about.
While it is the sequel to TWW in terms of story, the graphics are obviously the sequel to OOT and MM, with a few TWW sword flashes to remind us of Link's ocean bound adventure.
I hope that the swordplay is even more impressive than Wind Waker's!
